Romantic getaway!

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary here and could not have asked for a more perfect weekend!! The views were breath taking and the weather was amazing! Very private and quite.... The perfect getaway. We loved being able to have our dog with us, even she loved the fresh mountain air :) We ended up grilling out and starting a fire both nights instead of dining out because we loved the cabin so much!!! The kitchen was fully stocked, we never needed anything. The bed was very comfortable and everything was so clean. The cabin is a very close drive to Clayton and state parks! We had a blast hiking Glen Falls and visiting Highlands N.C. wich was not a far drive. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to everyone!!! Linda was wonderful to communicate with and was always quick to respond. Thanks again Linda for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Thanksgiving Getaway

Guest: MFH (Buford, GA)
Date of Stay: 11/22/11 Review Submitted: 12/25/11

This cabin was amazing. Small and cozy yet roomy enough where adults, children, and pets can move around with out being under each other's feet. Kitchen was completely stocked with items that allowed us to make some great meals while there. Fireplace worked great (although the pine onsite is a slow burning and smoky wood, we picked up some other locally) back porch is a great place to read and look out at the mountain view. Bed was VERY comfortable as were the linens provided. Definitely will be back and reccommend this to all. Hosts were very easy to contact and work with.

Owner response:Thank you so much for the kind remarks. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come back. Linda

We were so pleased with your "Cozy Mountain Getaway". The cabin is comfortable, clean and inviting. We had everything we needed. The leaves were at peak color and the view from the porch is great! We did a lot, saw alot and visited with family in Rabun Co. as we do every Fall. Your cabin is the perfect get away. This was one of the easiest rental arrangements we have ever made. "Thank You" for everything Linda.

Awesome Getaway!!

My mom and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful log cabin. The view is just gorgeous and we were fortunate enough to have a cool front come in, and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen and cabin had all the amenities you need. I even brought extra dish soap, garbage bags etc...but did not need them. Linda has everything you need and more! The porch with the swing and rocking chairs were so inviting! I very much recommend this cabin for a nice relaxing getaway!

This Cozy Mountain Getaway Is Authentic Stay 9/8 - 9/11/11

My husband, dog and I had such a nice stay. The cabin really is beautiful, cozy and comfortable including the bed! We destressed, enjoyed the town, drove all around Screamer Mountain to see where the little roads took us, and sat by a fire at night. I can't wait to go back.

Great place to stay!

This was our second stay at Linda's cabin, if I could give it 6 stars I would! Both times have been perfect. The location is ideal, very close to lots of the things to do in the area. It is a good ways up Screamer Mountain, but that's how you get the beautiful view. The house is clean, the furnishings nice, the porch is awesome, the kitchen has everything you need to cook it you want (not me!). We will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It was clean, nicely decorated, and had all the conveniences. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the morning and evening, enjoying the mountain view and the peace and quiet. It was handy to downtown Clayton, grocery stores, and many state parks and waterfalls.

Great Week In the Mountains

Guest: Low Country Drifters (Brunswick GA)
Date of Stay: 07/02/11 Review Submitted: 07/12/11

This was our second visit to Cozy Mountain Getaway. Linda is so accomodating and a pleasure to rent from. The cabin is private and peaceful but located close to Clayton and Dillard for shopping and restaurants. The mountain views from porch are so beautiful! Where the fireflies light the night and the crickets sing you to sleep. The cabin is in close proximity to area activities; Black Rock Mountain and Tallulah Gorge State Parks, Nantahala Outdoor Center (whitewater rafting), Toccoa Falls, Highlands NC (Glen Falls), Great Smoky Mountain Railway in Bryson City NC, Cherokee NC, Helen, Lakes Burton & Rabun GA and The Foxfire Museum and Heritage Center. The full kitchen is well equipped. One evening we picked blackberries along a road on Screamer Mountain and made a cobbler. The cabin is great for two couples. We have recommended this rental to our friends. We hope to visit again soon as a week just isn't long enough.

The Perfect Cabin Experience

Guest: Abby (Charleston, SC)
Date of Stay: 05/07/11 Review Submitted: 05/11/11

I'm a Realtor, and am extremely picky when it comes to where I stay on vacation. This is the only rental I have ever given 5 stars to. It was perfect! The beautiful, private scenery and mountain view are breath-taking, and there are tons of fun activities nearby (we went white water rafting). The authentic wood cabin with a log-burning fire and porch-swing overlooking Screamer Mnt. made my Husband and I cancel our dinner plans every night because all we wanted to do was stay in the cabin and take in the relaxing, gorgeous atmosphere. We plan to go back annually. Linda is the perfect professional, so accommodating and a pleasure to rent from. We just mailed her the check and she made renting a very simple process and a wonderful experience. I will recommend this cabin to any of my clients, trusting they are in great hands with Linda, and will love this cabin!

Owner response:Thank you so much for the lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return. Linda

LOVED IT!!

We spent two nights and had a great time. The location is isolated enough to enjoy some peace and quiet, yet very close to Clayton where you can find pharmacies, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. It's also very close to Black Rock Mountain and Tallulah Gorge State Park. The cabin is very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Linda was also very helpful. We highly recommend it.

Perfect Weekend

Guest: deliveryman (Gray, GA)
Date of Stay: 11/15/08 Review Submitted: 12/06/08

the accomodations were very nice and clean with all the amenities one would expect in a mountain cabin. In addition, the cabin had all the modern conveniences such as hd sattelite TV. Very close to Clayton and Dillard which added to the shopping and dining experience and not far from Highlands, NC. If one is not used to driving up a mountain to get to a cabi the road up there might prove challenging. Overall the ease of rental and the accomodations made for a very satisfying weekend experience.
