Nice apartment, some issues

The pictures accurately reflect the apartment, which is large/nice/clean. Things we enjoyed: comfortable beds, a decently equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, living room with lots of natural light and a great view of the basilica, a beautiful dining room. Also, this apartment puts you in a wonderful location to explore Budapest. The only issue for us was that the owner/her agent came by the apartment several times (to replace furniture, to show two more parties the apartment). To be clear, she did let us know in advance. However, we weren't happy and felt our privacy wasn't respected. The agent assured us that it was an atypical week, which is fine, but for the price we would have expected a nicer experience. If it wasn't for the interruptions, we would have recommended the apartment to other travelers without any hesitation.

Spacious VI District Flat-Basilica

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this incredible apartment. Very comfortable, well equipped, very close to public transport, shops, restaurants. Bedroom facing the courtyard is an ideal setup for peace and quiet when you most want it. We highly recommend it, and we would stay in it again if we visit Budapest in the future. Nicole & Walter.

A spectacular apartment and a great deal

We loved our four day stay in this apartment. The rooms are enormous and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms are spacious, well appointed and brand new. I have rented apartments and homes all around the world and this is certainly one of the loveliest. The location is central and we never quite got over the thrill of looking out the big dining room and living room windows and seeing the Basilica. The property was spotless and the owner's agent was very accommodating (we had to leave at 7:00AM). The only drawback which really did not affect us since there were only two of us was that the second bedroom is really a loft. It's small and has no cross ventilation. It was 96 degrees F while we were there and ventilation was very important. However, the couch in the living room was very comfortable for napping or sleeping.

The Basilica Flat was wonderful. Everything is literally out your door. The flat was beautifully decorated, large, and easy to use. My only complaint was that it lacked air conditioning. Our last day in Budapest was humid and warm and it was uncomfortable. Otherwise I would stay again without reservation. The attendant's were courteous and friendly. And it was extremely easy to deal with them on-line prior to out arrival.

The apartment was just perfect and exactly what I was looking for and in the best location. The contacts were very responsive even as it was a last minute booking. I have used vrbo.com for many apartments throughout the world and this experience was by far the best! I would highly recommend!

A wonderfull stay

Even though we have seen all the photos before when we entered the apartament we felt it exceeded all our expectations. In fact the location, the view, the rooms, the kitchen, the bathrooms are excellent and the apartament is equipped with everithing that is necesary during your stay and even more. We inmediately felt at home and enjoy the neighbourhood with the beautiful restaurants and cafes and off course the impresive cathedral located in the other side of the Avenue. This is a reason way we highly recomend to anyone who is interested in visiting Budapest and we hope they feel the same experience. Special regards and many thanks to Jeniffer and Dorka

Perfect Bajcsy

We stayed in the apartment from the 2nd - 6th December 2009. It is beautiful and vast, spotless, tastefully furnished and full of charm, as a romantic hideaway it couldn't have been placed any better and we enjoyed every minute there. The Basilica is dead opposite and Budapest is easily explored on foot from this base with the Danube minutes away and lots of cool bars and restaurants to hit in the evenings with hearty local food and wine. We found it a treat to have all that space for just the two of us, eating at the table was a surreal experience ( - seats 12!), we picked up some fresh steaks from the market and cooked in one night. The building is grand and old and full of atmosphere. Dorka was brilliant and well organized, she gave us tips on how to get around and pointed us in the direction of a great local hang-out just minutes from the apartment. The whole experience was unforgettable and I'd recommend Bajcsy to stay in, we fell in love with the place and with Budapest and we still miss the relaxed steamy beauty of the Szechenyi Furdo baths and the stunning bling of the Opera House.

We throroughly enjoyed our stay in Bajcsy - what a stunning property! On arrival we felt like we were walking into a film set or a design magazine. The rooms are of grand proportions, with enormous windows overlooking the cathedral. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment had all the amenities we could wish for, with a luxury kitchen and shower room. The location is perfect for sight seeing, although we often had trouble dragging ourselves away from our luxury accommodation! Dorka was very helpful and welcoming, from the first email contact to meeting us at the apartment. I highly recommend staying here!

Bajcsy is a beautifully renovated and designed apartment, with amazingly spacious rooms. The full-height windows in the living and dining rooms have great views of the Basilica. The central location means everything is just a stroll away, with a huge range of cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep - strolling over to the cathedral square for coffee or cocktails is a real pleasure. I loved the interesting mix of antiques and art works, and Dorka and Jennifer couldn't be more helpful.
