This beautiful Tahoe Keys home is located on a quiet waterway that is perfect for your boat in summer and ten minutes from Heavenly Valley in the winter. The house is a custom built home with deluxe features such as all redwood siding, all metal roof, low-emissivity Anderson wooden windows, and unique stained-glass windows, custom lighting, cedar ceilings, and much use of custom tile and marble. The two-story home features a large and exquisite living room with vaulted 19' cedar ceiling, beautiful marble fireplace with gas logs, piano, large sectional sofa, flat-screen TV and surround sound stereo. There is a full dining room with new oak dining room furniture which will seat ten+ for large family dinners. The kitchen is large, cheerful, and exceptionally well-appointed. It features a separate eating area for six. There is an oversize deck off the kitchen and living room with plenty of room for outdoor eating, with charcoal and gas barbecues and a patio heater. Wonderful outdoor views of the big lagoon and our large and shaded fenced yard (perfect for your dog/s) are a joy year-round. Up a spiral staircase is a roof top deck with a large relaxing spa. Also upstairs is a deluxe master suite containing a queen-size bed and large sitting/office area with high-speed wired and wireless internet. The large master bath is beautifully-appointed with a Jacuzzi tub and enormous shower. A separate front deck affords delightful views of Mount Tallac.
Downstairs contains a spacious wood-beamed family room with widescreen TV/DVD/VCR, wet bar, game table and chairs, refrigerator, ultra efficient wood-burning stove and sleeper sofa. Two other spacious and cheery bedrooms, one with a Tahoe cabin theme and twin beds and a “tropical” bedroom with queen-size bed share a full bath. Garage access is from the downstairs hall.
This unique home is freshly painted inside and out. It has been an owner-occupied 2nd home exclusively until now, and is new to the rental market. It features beautiful numbered artwork and quilts hand-made by the owner. There are large collections of books, DVDs for the four televisions, and games available. This is not your typical rental house! You will be delighted by the beauty of the house and impressed by the amenities provided.
Tahoe Keys is a unique community with many amenities for you to enjoy. Foremost is the ability to dock up to two of your boats right off the backyard with immediate open lake access. We especially enjoy the opportunity to walk, run or bike on the nearby nature trails, and often end up at Cape Richardson for an ice cream cone! You are only ten to fifteen minutes to local ski resorts and ten minutes to the casinos at Stateline. We’ll be happy to give you help and advice about Tahoe’s many wonderful attractions based on our long experience with the area. Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Keys
We have been based in the Sacramento Valley area since 1977, and had loved going to Lake Tahoe for many years. We were able to enlist an architect and builder to build our dream home 17 years ago, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our many visits over the years. We especially love boating and have explored Lake Tahoe's many attractions. Our favorite boating experiences are savoring the beautiful scenery in Emerald Bay, trolling for trout, and getting the boat taxi to enjoy a wonderful lunch at Camp Richardson. We also love the walking and bicycling trails near the house, and the sunsets from the back deck while enjoying an adult beverage! Leslie has had fun decorating and adorning the house with quilts and personal effects. An added bonus is that the home is less than a two hours drive from Sacramento through the beautiful Sierras.

Boating is our favorite activity and we have explored one of the most beautiful lakes in the world many times (and we never get tired of it!) Owner's Map of Tahoe Keys
We are Bob and Leslie Weatherwax. We have built and owned our Lake Tahoe home since 1992, and are lucky enough to have spent many wonderful times here. We have six children and six grandchildren, as well as four dogs. Bob is a semi-retired energy engineering consultant, and Leslie is a semi-retired speech therapist. Our home base is Granite Bay, California, although we also spend about three months a year at our two vacation rentals at Anini Beach Lagoon on the North Shore of Kaua'i. We are fortunate enough to have been to every continent except Antarctica (the family photo was taken at Angkor Wat in Cambodia). Leslie loves to garden, quilt and make stained glass work and Bob likes fishing, jogging, bird watching, and blackjack. We would love to share our Tahoe Keys home with you. We have put in many personal touches such as Leslie's quilts and stained glass.
