This Bayside house is the perfect getaway for a large family, group of friends, or corporate retreat!
This 5 bedroom/4.5 bath house comfortably sleeps 14 (family members or multiple couples) in a beautifully furnished island style home. Enjoy your own dock and boat lift located on the Roosevelt Channel, while being less then a mile from the beach!
Parking in town Captiva: We provide a parking spot in the town center of Captiva. This provides easy beach/restaurant/sunset access!
Steps to the Beach for shelling!: Ding Darling Nature Preserve!!!!: Two public golf courses on Sanibel Island.
Orange U Glad is an extraordinary house with space for all your needs. We recommend it as a family reunion property, a seasonal rental for Grandparents/Parents with multiple guests, or a yearly rental for a family. It has sleeping space for up to 14 people as well as beach access and boat dockage with a boat lift on Roosevelt Channel.
The main floor living space is a large, open floor plan complete with a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a huge pantry and an adjoining full-size sun-filled breakfast area with seating for 8. The Great Room has three sofas with plenty of additional seating for all your entertainment needs and it opens onto the screened upper deck with lovely wicker furniture overlooking the pool area.
The large Dining Room has seating for 10+. The King Size Master Bedroom Suite is gigantic and opens onto the screened porch and includes it’s own walk-in closet and a Master Bathroom with soaking tub, separate shower, double sink, dressing table, and separate commode room.
The main floor also includes an additional room with a Queen sized bed, and a single day bed.
The fully finished lower level has a large Queen sized one bedroom apartment with it’s own full bath, a galley kitchen, dining area, and living room with day bed with a trundle (sleeps two people). This has it’s own ground floor entrance, and is handicapped accessible. The remainder of the ground floor space contains a large recreation room with a full size pool table, leather sectional sofa, large screen TV and 1/2 bath and it opens through French doors onto the screened-in pool and lanai space. The pool deck has numerous lounge chairs and a gas grill.
The upstairs has one Queen Size Guest Suite. One twin guest suite. And a separate bunk room with two twin beds, for kids with black board walls and chalk to draw on!
The house is tastefully furnished with great attention to detail and special feeling of home. The Orange-U-Glad name will not only make you smile but welcome you to the special Captiva experience every time you return here to vacation. This house is made to be lived in not just visited!

Our family of 14 includes 8 adults,4 teen-agers, and a five and seven year old. Orange-U Glad worked for everyone. We kyaked, went to the beach, played lots of pool, and swam in the swimming pool. We also spent lots of time eating and talking together. We're a family of cooks and really appreciated the large kitchen, large pantry, and extra refrigerator on the lower level. The house was clean and newly, and tastefully decorated. We came from Seattle, Chicago, Washington DC, and St. Louis and loved the large living room, where we could sit around and visit with one another. Club Captiva was wasy to work with.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

We really enjoyed our Stay at Orange U Glad!!!! It was very relaxing and plenty of room for everyone to have space... and with 14 people we needed that. Everything was in great working order except for one door on bottom level.... and Jaccuzzi which we really did not need. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

Our two weeks at Orange-U-Glad were delightful. There were only 5 of us so we had plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy our time together. Everything in the house was in wonderful condition and well cared for. The layout worked well as my 80 year old parents had a bedroom on the main level (no steps to deal with), my brother had the entire second floor to himself, and my husband and I had the lower level apartment with our dog. There was also lots of indoor and outdoor living space for us to be/eat together. The pool was enjoyed daily except when tropical storm Debby blew through! As a result we lost our electricity for about 8 hours, but Lee County Electric Cooperative had us up and running in no time. The property manager and rental agent were both extremely helpful with offers of refrigeration at one of their other properties. Other than a little melted ice cream, everything fared quite well. The rainy weather didn't bother us in the least as it provided us with some well needed time to "unplug" and read some of the many books we as a family brought along on the trip. We ventured out to dinner several times but otherwise enjoyed staying in and cooking our meals together. Overall everything couldn't have been better. We enjoyed it so much we've already made arrangements to stay at one of their other properties at Christmas!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week in Orange U Glad, the home was not only beautiful but also very comfortable. Everyone had their own bedroom with comfortable beds and bathrooms, the kitchen was fun to work together and eat together in! So grateful for the spacious laundry room! The house was clean, the property manager was friendly and helpful with any questions. We enjoyed the beach, a short walk from the house. And a quiet and peaceful bay a very short walk from the home. Captiva is a beautiful place, cherished lifetime memories were made in our week together! Ablsolutely Glad We Came!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Orange-u-Glad was absolutely perfect! Our large party of 3 families were beyond thrilled with everything! The home exceeded our expectations. The beach access was a little confusing but we made it work and literally had our own private beach every day! For spring break that was pretty amazing! There was plenty of space for kids and adults to do their own thing. The pool was used morning, noon and night! The kids loved fishing off the dock and at the beach! It truly was a once in a lifetime vacation. We would come back in a heartbeat!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family gathering for 13 was so wonderful here at Orange U Glad. The pictures do not adequately showcase the attention to detail in every aspect of this magnificent house. The spacious floor plan allowed us to be together without being "at" each other! The teenagers loved the "separate" apartment style area on the ground floor and the little ones loved the pool table and pool deck. The guys brought the boat and loved having the lift on the dock.
