The Cabin at Midnight Canyon is located less then 100 yards from the shores of the Stillwater River in the Stillwater River Valley boasting spectacular river, mountains, and valley views; arguably the most scenic location in the valley.
Our home is a fully furnished log cabin located just an hour and fifteen minutes from Billings International Airport. Offering a multitude of recreational and adventure opportunities and activities just outside the front door, our place is the perfect home base for fly-fisherman, outdoor enthusiasts, families, or folks in need of a break from The Rat Race. Start your day by taking in views in every direction, partake in recreational activities like fishing, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and river activities, and then settle in for the evening with a home-cooked meal or dinner out at The Cowboy or The Grizzly Bar then call it an evening with a night cap under the stars on our wrap around deck. This is the place if you want to just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride...
And if all that is not enough to keep you close to home, you’re located just an hour’s drive from Red Lodge, Montana, the eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park via the famous Beartooth Highway. Just the drive to Red Lodge itself, whether for a round of golf, a little shopping, or to enjoy the awesome views, is worth the trip!

Our cabin is our refuge from the crazy life of the city and we feel very fortunate to have something so completely different to escape to. While we "live" some 700 miles to the west (Seattle) our roots are deep here, going back to Papa Bill's (my wife's father)family that settled in the "valley" long ago as miners and continuing through today where our children can't wait for their beloved summer trip to the cabin. Sally (11) and Josie's (9)favorite thing to do here is "go to town" to The Dew Drop In for ice cream and a grilled cheese; my wife and I prefer to take long walks, hikes, ride our bikes, and head down to the river for some fly-fishing. We're happy to note that each year Sally and Josie spend more time down at the river and less time at the Dew Drop.
