We have stayed all over Seabrook Island and I would say this is one of our favorite places we have stayed. The condo is perfect. It is in a great location on the island, close to the pool, beach and golfing. But it is off of the main road so there is not as much car traffic that comes by. The weather was not great one of the days we were there, but we did not mind relaxing in the condo as it is very comfortable and inviting. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Seabrook.

We just returned from a long weekend at this property and would recommend it without any hesitation at all. The owners were extremely easy to work with and made sure everything was ready for us upon our arrival including the gate passes, amenity cards and a very clean property. A few things (some stated in earlier comments): The kitchen is small, but we cooked two dinners in it and it met our needs. Just open a window to get ventilation and cool it down. While you can probably walk on the golf course to get to the pool and beach club, we drove each day as we had two two-year-olds with us. There is also a sign on the cart path discouraging anyone who is not playing golf to not use the path. It was about a three minute drive. The master bedroom always seemed a little warmer than the rest of the villa. It wasn't bad enough that it was uncomfortable, and with a heat index at 100+ degrees while we were there, it was probably just a fluke. When I emailed the owners, they called right away to see if they should schedule someone to come by and look at it. Appreciate the response, but it wasn't bad enough to warrant a service call. We had a great time and made some great memories while at Seabrook. Thanks to the Lowdermilks for making our stay enjoyable.

Our stay was at #136 was enjoyable. The villa is an upstairs, two bedroom, two full bath unit that is plenty large enough. The rooms are spacious, two full baths, large eating area and large deck. The kitchen is tight, but serves it's purpose. The deck is larger than most and had plenty of seating. There was a large rusty construction trailor off of our deck which was a little unsightly. However, the outside renovations on High Hammock Villas look great. The property overall was clean, but the floors (hardwoods) were dirty and sandy at arrival. The keypad entry is easy to work, but the front door sticks terribly. I felt like I was waking the downstairs neighbor each morning because it was so loud. The beds and sheets, even the sofa bed were VERY comfortable and made it very easy to fall asleep in after a long day on the beach. I would suggest to go ahead and purchase amenity cards from the owners for access to pools and such. This is a great villa for the price. It's very close to the beach, the club, and the pools near the beach. It's a great spot for runners also. The location makes it easy to run a loop. The only complaint I would have are the floors at arrival and our cleaning lady showed up at 8:45am and check out is at 11am, so we were rushed to pack the cars on our last day.
Owner response:I appreciate the review above. The cleaning group that cleaned this unit was a new group and clearly they did not meet the expectation of the guest or myself as the owner. I have made changes in this regard and all future rentals will be assured of a spotless unit for their stay. As for the rusty construction trailer off the back of the property, this is out of the owner's control. The front part of the High Hammock Village is under construction and the construction manager's trailer is within sight of our deck. All of the construction will be completed by October of 2010. While the trailer is a bit unsightly, it in no way impedes the comfort of the villa and there is no noise from the construction in the front of the village. The "sticky" door has been noted and will be fixed immediately. As the owner, my goal is to ensure a comfortable, clean and problem free stay at our villa. I take the cleanliness of the villa very seriously and go the great lengths personally to ensure that the villa is one of the cleanest on the island. I make regular trips to the villa to inspect the cleanliness of the unit and ensure that everything is in good working order.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with young children.

This was our first trip to Seabrook Island, and we were there for a wedding. The property was just as the owner listed it. It was very clean and well-maintained. The owners were a pleasure to work with and did their best to make our stay comfortable and pleasurable. There was some construction going on at the complex, but it was nice to see the buildings getting a makeover. The property was located close to the beach club and convenient to other ammenities. We had a wonderful visit to Seabrook and look forward to returning to the island. We would definitely consider renting this villa again and would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.
