Carlsbad is absolutely beautiful in the summer. The water is warm from July on and it is 10 degrees cooler on the coast than inland. It is a very short walk to a few different beaches. It is a one mile walk (which I do every morning) to Starbucks, Pizza port or anywhere else in the village.
The house itself was remodeled a few years ago so its in great shape. It is a small two bedroom (about 600 square feet). I have an unattached room that can be made available. There is another house on the lot so I need all renters to be respectful of her in regards to cleanliness of the property and noise. Not looking for animal house.
If you have kids, I am about 4 miles from Legoland and 30 miles to SeaWorld and the SD Zoo. Wild Animal Park is about 20 miles. There is great golf all around.
The house is next to the railroad tracks. Its no biggie to me and the people that have stayed there havent complained, but if you are a light sleeper, it may be an issue.
I live in Hollywood most of the time, but I am keeping it available for myself because I love the summers in Carlsbad.

Why the Owner Chose Carlsbad
I'm a beach guy and I wanted to be walking distance to the beach. I make that walk down 101 every morning that I stay in Carlsbad and it never gets old.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Its really all about the beach. The weather is spectacular. The village is a wonderful place to have a cup of coffee in the morning or have a dinner.
