LOFT IN SPACE!
Our 1400 sq ft (approx. 130 m sq) loft is located on the top floor of a formerly industrial loft building which has been converted to residential apartments in the heart of fashionable Williamsburg.
The loft is very spacious, on a corner and has eight big windows on two sides facing South and West. This allows streams of sunlight to make this apartment very warm and bright and also provides views of the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State Building, not to mention the stunning New York City sunset. There are wood floors and wood posts and beams and brick walls.
The extra large living room is fully furnished with a big couch, reading chair and ottoman and coffee table-- dish television and full stereo with CD player and laptop hookup-- there are two queen bed sleeping areas behind room dividers plus velvet mattresses and pillows that provide additional lounging or sleeping.
The kitchen has a cast concrete counter top and glass tiles and is open to the living area with a dining table and chairs. It is fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, double door fridge, microwave, coffee makers and all necessary items to cook meals.
Linens are provided including goose down comforter and pillows.
The extra large bathroom is in white marble mosaic and equipped with a large glass and marble rainfall shower stall with high windows that allow you to look over Williamsburg rooftops while showering. There is a pedestal sink and lots of mirrors. Towels are provided.
We also have a smaller loft available which sleeps 2-3 people. This can be rented separately for couples or in tandem with the large unit for big groups. Please inquire if interested.
Williamsburg is a very desirable area in which artists from around the world have chosen to settle. The apartment is only a block off Bedford avenue (the main strip of cafes and shops) and a short block from the L train which is only one stop from Manhattan (so the East and West Village, SoHo, Chinatown, Lower East Side and Union Square are really close) .
That is the reason why there are many work/live spaces and recording and art studios. The area is very colorful and is a weekend destination for both native New Yorkers and visitors. There are lots of murals, galleries and public art which reflect the artistic atmosphere of this neighborhood. In this area there are many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, wine bars, specialty shops, and night clubs. There are also ample facilities such as supermarkets and laundromats.
McCarren Park is nearby and in the summer there are many outdoor events and concerts. In this park there are children's playgrounds, jogging tracks and tennis courts. Also just 3 blocks away there is Waterfront Park, located along the East River, which has nice views of Manhattan.
Transportation: 1 minute to the L train to Bedford Avenue and the B61 bus to downtown Brooklyn just out the door too.

Why the Owner Chose Brooklyn
NYC. This is better than Manhattan-- I was born and raised there. Brooklyn has more soul, more light and sky and more space. We have 2 parks within walking distance with tennis and a track too. A lovely farmers market on weekends and lots of restaurants and shops, bars and nightlife etc. People come from the city in droves to spend time in williamsburg and we are a block away from the main subeway hub. One can easily head into town for a few hours and return to a humanly scaled environment with buildings that don't exceed 5 stories.
The Unique Benefits at this Loft
Enjoy real loft living. Artist have lived in this building since the 70's and its one of Williamsburg's original artist loft buildings. Lots of charm and great/best location for getting around. Center of Williamsburg and all it has to offer too. Lots of boutiques, vintage clothing stores, cafes, bars, restaurants, galleries, bowling, parks, tennis even. Come and see for yourself. A lot of Europeans make Williamsburg there home and you can see why--it has a small village feel yet its large in itself and closest to Manhattan of all Brooklyn neighborhoods.

We are a couple with a daughter are both photographers and this is a unit has been used as a photo studio because it is flooded with light and open with lots of space to move about. We house dance companies on tour regularly who appreciate the room and space that this loft affords. We have lived and worked in Williamsburg for 19 years and have seen the transformation of this exciting and vibrant artist community first hand.
