A vacation at our “Overlook” lakefront property is one you’ll remember for a lifetime.
This house sits directly on the water and has perhaps the best water access and views that Canyon Lake has to offer. This property is unique because there is both a good swimming area and a boat anchoring area - many waterfront homes have one or the other, but not both.
The house is equipped with new furniture, linens, towels. The house is three stories and each story has a breathtaking view of the lake. The Master Bedroom sits on the third floor and there is a jetted garden tub in the Master Bath that makes you feel as if you’re in heaven enjoying the hot water as you look over the lake.
Canyon Lake is a unique community among rolling hills in the midst of lake and river waters. Water activities are easily accessible since we are located directly on the waterfront, you will be able to conveniently enjoy all the lake has to offer.
Head down the private trail to the cove to swim, fish or try out one of the kayaks. Or just hang out on the water's edge and take in the beauty and the warmth of the sun as you enjoy a cool beverage by the lake.
You will find the home to be very accommodating with plenty of space for friends and family gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped with granite counters, and large island. The Living room is large and is equipped with flat screen TV entertainment center which is linked to speakers to be enjoyed on the three large decks.
Downstairs is a pool table, Wii game console and a variety of board games to be enjoyed by the kids or young at heart.
Jump in your boat (bring your own and anchor it in the cove or rent one by the hour at the local marina. There are two boat ramps close by. Head out to the open water to tube, ski, wakeboard or fish for the “big ones”.
There is great fishing on Canyon Lake for bass, striped bass, white bass, crappie, perch and very large catfish. Canyon Lake is also known for its great sailing conditions, so you could rent one from the marina while you’re visiting.
Canyon Lake is one of the clearest and most beautiful lakes in Texas. You can’t help but have a great time on this lake. The cedar and oak woods are saturated with wildlife. The neighborhood is shared with pet-like deer. It’s a very calming and natural environment.
A small grocery store is nearby for any and all items you may need.
The Guadalupe River feeds Canyon Lake and has some of the best tubing, rafting and kayaking in Texas. It’s located only minutes from the home. Gruene Hall, Texas’s oldest dance hall, is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River with its famous live music and is only a short 15 minute scenic drive away. Gruene also offers great restaurants, shops and spas.
While visiting, you may also want to take a day trip to New Braunfels, a quick 25-minute drive away. It is home to the world’s largest waterpark, Schlitterbahn, which is situated on the banks of the crystal clear Comal River. Tubing is also very popular on the Comal River.
Situated between Austin and San Antonio, there are unlimited tourist attractions in the area. If your vacation plans include a trip to San Antonio to visit Sea World, Six Flags/Fiesta Texas, the Riverwalk, Natural Bridge Caverns, or the Alamo, we are only short drive to US 281 or IH-35 to take you quickly into San Antonio.
Austin, known for its live music and numerous exquisite restaurants is only an hour drive away and is well worth a day trip or a night out on the town. And don’t forgot to visit San Marcos with its famous Prime and Tanger outlet malls or the Power Olympic Whitewater Kayaking Center located on the San Marcos River.
Day trips to heritage-rich central Texas towns, such as Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Johnson City and Bandera, Wimberley, Boerne, Blanco, San Marcos make us a top location for lodging. Here you can see for yourself what small town Hill Country living is all about. Many of these small communities have yearly festivals that are enjoyable to attend.

Why the Owner Chose Canyon Lake
The house and lot it sits on are just amazing! You are as close to the water as you can get on Canyon Lake and there is a great swimming area and perfect place to anchor your boat. The views are spectacular whether you are in the house or on one of the three covered decks. The house is spacious enough (6 bedroom, 4 bathrooms) to have all of your friends and family over. We just fell in love with it.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Waterskiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, sailing, boating, fishing, etc. And of course, the views and scenery are amazing. Our home offers easy access to the waterfront for sunbathing, swimming and kayaking. bring your boat and anchor right in front of the property or you can rent one at the two marinas that are on the lake (one of which is only a few miles away. There are a number of tourist attractions and shopping opportunities within easy driving distance from this great lakefront home! Tubing or rafting the Guadalupe river (10 minutes away), Live music and dancing at Gruene hall (20 minutes away), Schlitterbauhn, the world's largest waterpark (25 minutes away). There is just so much to do!!!
