Toxaway Views sits in an area called "The Blue Wall" of the Smokey Mountains. This is a unique area of the Appalachian Mountains that contains special species of biological plant life and wildlife. The Mountains stretch out from the 19 foot back porch and you are able to view North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The rising morning sun gives a spectacular view of the National Forest and the "Smokey" fog rising up the valleys to the Mountains surrounding the area. The woods around the condo are covered in various species of ferns and wild flowers during the summer months. Enjoy the fresh mountain air outside on the covered balcony, coffee on the screen-in porch, or just open the sliding glass doors and let the mountain air in. A great place to relax and do nothing, or plan for a great day's adventure in the "Land of Waterfalls."
Toxaway Views is located in Lake Toxaway, Smokey Mountains, North Carolina, USA. It is 1 hour from Asheville, NC, 45 minutes from Highlands, NC, 30 minutes from Cashiers and Brevard, NC, and 3 hours from Atlanta or Charlotte. The condominiums are located just off of Highway 64 (main highway) in Transylvania County. Gorges State Park, and Pisgah National Forest are out the back door.
Amenities are many including the Brevard Music Center, and the Highlands Playhouse. Outstanding restaurants are abundant in the area, and the Biltmore Estates and Winery are a little over 1 hour away. During the winter the ski sloops are just 3 miles away. Shopping is wonderful from craft stores to antiquing and mountain golf is a challenge!!!! Come enjoy the peace and quiet and the wonders atop "The Blue Wall" at a place called "The Empty Nest".
