Nicely decorated 2 story condo in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The unit has numerous up grades. Pirate's Cove is a gated boating community located on Roanoke Island. Within the community is a full service marina, restaurant, bar and charter fleet to take you fishing in the Gulf Stream or the sound.
Pirate's Cove is the premier waterfront community in the OBX. The community is kid friendly with numerous activities including crabbing, swimming. Mom and Dad can relax at the pool while the kids participate in the fishing contests in the stocked ponds or one of the other activities organized by the Pirates cove staff. My wife and I love Pirates Cove. We own two properties in the community. During the Summer months one of us will most likely be in the community. We hope all our guests enjoy the community as much as we do.

Pirates Cove has so much to offer someone who loves the water. You can walk the docks and admire all the beautiful boats or have a drink at the marina, while listening to live music and watch the charter fleet come in. If your preference is hanging out at the beach there is a public access with restrooms just minutes away. You will not run out of things to do during your week at the beach.

A couple week stay has turned into a month+ so having a place that feels like home has been amazing for us! This condo is comfortable, clean, well equipped and very nicely furnished. An on-site gym just a short walk away is an added bonus. Carl and the property manager Rosie are more than helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone.

Property is exactly as described. Clean and well appointed. Perfect for 2 couples or a family with 2 master bedrooms one on each floor. The bunk bed nook is a plus. Pirates Cove on Roanoke Island is a great location to visit either Manteo or Outer Banks barrrier islands. This was our first trip to the Outer Banks in many years but will not be our last. Owner was very helpful recommending restaurants and places of interest. This condo will be number one on our list when we to return to the area.

Just wanted to say we just got back in June and could not have been happier with our stay. Rosie did a super job getting the condo ready for us and Carl was very helpful about everything in the area to see and also where to dine. Can't wait to get back next year,everything you need for a great family vacation is right there and the kids activities are wonderful.

My family stayed in this condo for a week. It was an excellant location - close to all the best restaurants and central to all the activities we wanted to do yet in a private, quiet, gated community. The condo was clean from top to bottom.

We thoroughly enjoyed your place at Pirates Cove. Wonderful location and friendly neighbors. The end unit with windows on the side is a big plus in my mind. I was surprised at how well the complex was maintained, especially when your widowed neighbor below said she had been there 17 years. While we had to leave Sunday my sister stayed through Monday. Thank you for sharing your place with us. We look forward to returning to Manteo in the future. My wife loved the small town feel of Manteo - close enough to the beach but far from the maddening crowds..

We have stayed in several properties at Pirate's Cove and this is one of the best. It is nicely appointed and convenient to the marina and pool. The owner is very accomodating and makes you feel at home. This is perfect for a quick weekend trip or an extended family vacation. Pirate's Cove is a great destination for the serious fisherman, beachgoers or a family looking to do some of both. There is plenty to do for adults and kids.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pirate's Cove and the lovely Buccanneer Village community. The condo was clean, bright and comfortable for a family of 4. All of the furnishings were tastefully done and you really get a sense that the owner takes pride in his property. The attention to detail is impeccable - from the minute you arrive, the dining room table is set, beds made with crisp linens, and towels laid out for you and your family. Having travelled from Ontario, Canada to the Outerbanks last summer, our very first visit to the region, we were apprehensive about renting sight unseen but Carl the owner was such a great help. Prior to our arrival, we had many conversations with him outlining activities for the children, restaurants for dining (which there are numerous of), and what to expect. Before arriving, we had a good sense of what the Outerbanks entailed...good food, good beaches, good fishing and good times! There is no shortage of activities for the family at Pirates Cove (our son was just 2 at the time of travel so enjoyed a few but we are looking forward to returning this summer where he'll be age appropriate to take part in even more of the fun!) Overall, our experience was a wonderful one. We hope to make the Outerbanks our home away from home...a yearly visit for our family! What an incredible vacation spot and hidden gem - thanks to Carl, Rosie, and his family for providing the "foundation" for a great holiday:)

Fabulous Outer Banks vacation at Pirates Cove

My family has rented 15 or more different vacation houses at the Outer banks over the past 20 years. We wanted to try a resort with amenities. This was one of the best vacation experiences we have had. Carl and Rosie (the owner and property manager) could not have been more friendly and helpful. The property is neat, compact, and has everything my family of 4 could need. King sized bed in the master bedroom, queen and bunk gave my kids, husband and I plenty of room and private space. The lighting was great, both natural and artificial (I hate not having enough light at night!), with a balcony off the living area that looked out on a pond. My kids really enjoyed throwing bread off the balcony for all of the ducks and seagulls. They also enjoyed the fact that they had their own TV and cable. We don't have cable at home, so this really made their vacation! The kitchen had everything we needed, and that is also important to me as we take more of our meals at home than in restaurants. Pirates Cove is a really nice resort. We made a great decision! We used the pool and gym almost every day, and took advantage of only a fraction of the activities offered at the clubhouse. My girls loved playing pool and taking advantage of Tie-Dye Tuesdays at 2:00. The beach is close, as is a fabulous coffee shop (I am a big fan of the Front Porch Cafe coffee) and shopping center, and there are numerous restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Of course Nags head, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills are all within a fairly short drive, with all the entertainment those areas have to offer. Overall a great vacation. I was a little concerned about renting directly from an owner but the entire process and vacation was easy and seamless. We will definitely try to stay here again next year!

This was a lovely gated property just across the causeway from Nags Head and the beach. The condo was obviously well cared for, nicely decorated and very clean. It was easy to feel at home right away, as everything needed was provided, down to the clothes detergent and hand soap. It made an excellent base from which to experience the area. It is located on the second floor, so be aware that you will need to carry your bags up several short flights of steps. I would suggest several smaller bags rather than one heavier large one. There is covered parking below. Manteo has a charming waterfront area with cute shops and restaurants, as well as historical attractions in the vicinity. We were able to sit by their nice community pool even though it was not officially open when we visited in April and we found everyone we came in contact with to be very friendly and obliging. The owners were quite personable and very easy to deal with. They were also very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and areas of interest. I hope to return to this same villa sometime in the future.

What a great get away! We enjoyed all the amenities that Pirate's Cove provides. The beach is a few short miles and is always such a relaxing place to be. This is a fabulous place to escape to- any time of year!!
