We had the opportunity to stay in the unit for four nights 12/23-37. First of all, it has to be said that simply being able to spend 4 nights in this lovely unit overlooking Lake superior is a treat in and of itself. The unit is spacious, well-maintained and situated in a lovely setting of similar types of townhouses. The pictures capture the feel of the unit. We loved the stay, and had there been snow it would have been ideal. The only reason that it is not 5-star is the following: 1) there were dead flies on the window seals in a couple of the rooms; 2)a few light bulbs were burnt out; 3) could not find the video library; 4) there were not extra towels and pillow cases available. These seem like small things--but particularly the lack of additional towels and pillow cases was a bit disappointing. At the same time--I would stay there again--the price is great --much less than one would get through CovePoint Lodge booking. The check in at Northern Lights was easy. We ate dinner one night at the restaurant at Cove Point--it was great and another night at Bluefin Bay also good. If you have a chance, and are going through Duluth--stop for breakfast at Uncle Loui's- a great spot near St Mary's Hospital. All-in all--this unit was perfect for our family of 6--and the North Shore is an ideal place to unwind and relax.
