This rental property is definitely "Paradise by the Bay". The home is clean, quiet, comfy, private and the neighborhood is very peacful. The view from the balconies confirms that you've chosen the right place to stay. The sunsets were incredible. We enjoyed lots of mornings down by the water planning our days events. Location is perfect for day trips to Key West and the Everglades. We visited Pennekamp State Park to snorkle out at the coral reef and even went deep sea fishing one day. We swam right off the dock, relaxed in the hammocks and also enjoyed the hot tub a few nights. The owner's were very pleasant and helpful and I would highly recommend this rental. One of our favorite vacations for sure! Thanks Mike!

We have a group of people from across the U.S. that get together every year and they all said that it's be the best place we've rented in a long time and would definately go back. It's really peaceful. Gregg & Laurie Kennedy Tucson, az.

The space and place were beautiful. In fact, whenever we left to go somewhere we found ourselves wondering why we did that. I think we'll go back. The kayaking was peaceful and varied enough. There was plenty of shade when we wanted it, between the lanai and the trees. The bay was ideally calm and shallow for our two small children. The duplex was beautifully appointed, spacious, with a fantastic view of the bay. The upstairs bedroom was very large with a large bath and small walk in closet. The only minor complaints: * the den is separated from the rest of the house completely (separate lock and no interior stairway to connect), so wouldn't be ideal for having a small child sleep there, nor did we find ourselves using it except as a bathroom for when we were on the beach. On the other hand, any adult or older child willing to sleep on a pull out could have almost his/her own apartment. * the restaurants in the area were fine but not fantastic. Conch House was the best one we went to. * a couple of core items we expected to be there weren't: dishwashing liquid and laundry liquid. We bought and left the remains of them. But, really, there were lots of other items we didn't expect available, too.

2/2011 - Paradise on Key Largo.  The description and reviews of this property are as accurate as it gets.  The house was beautiful, clean, and up-to-date.  Unlike some many of the other vacation homes we've rented, it was well-stocked and we did not have to run out to the store for every little thing such as salt, pepper, toilet paper, tissues, etc.  We had a lot fun with the kayaks and especially enjoyed sunning, fishing, and relaxing on the chickee at the end of the dock, where I wish I was sitting right now!  The location couldn't have been better as this house is close to restaurants, the fresh fish market, and grocery store. The views from the upper decks and bedrooms are breathtakingly beautiful. The homeowner was terrific in that he checked in with us by telephone to see if everything was satisfactory and readily answered our questions providing us with directions to restaurants and places of interest.  We had a wonderful time. Thank you Mike.

Mike's apartment in ultramodern, with everything the renter needs. We made full use of kayaks, hot tub, and the dock, from which we swam, snorkeled, fished and drank cuba libres. Very conveniently located, close to restaurants, Publix market. A truly great experience. by Ernie and family

This was our first time to the keys and it certainly will NOT be our last. The home was beautiful-very high end appliances, nice furniture, and great linens. The location was perfect-located close to anything you need, groceries, snorkel trips, shopping, boating, and any kind of rentals. Mike was an awesome rentor and very easy to work with. Overall this vacation for us and our crew was an amazing time and we will be looking forward to returning next year! Thanks

We spent one of the hottest weeks of the year at this awesome house and loved it! The house was well appointed, with two bedrooms downstairs and one 'loft' bedroom upstairs. The upstairs bedroom had a pull out couch perfect for our father-son duo. Both floors of the house had porches looking out over the bay. We ate dinner outside several times, and wasted away quite a few mornings drinking coffee or cuban colada out on those porches. There's a long dock with a tiki hut at the end, where a good bit of our vacation was spent fishing (for sport, not food), snorkeling, reading, and of course, drinking cold beer. The best part is that there's a shower at the end of the dock where we could rinse off to keep cool. Did I mention it was the hottest week of the year? The house had plenty of parking, and was in a great neighborhood. We went for a couple jogs through the neighborhood and all was nice and peaceful. The location is great, less than a mile from most of the dive shops, the Holiday Inn, and a great little fish market. The kitchen had everything you could need, including both a gas and a charcoal grill. Grouper over charcoal is not to be missed! All in all give this place a shot, it's a great rental, well maintained, and a great price.

My family and I spent a 5 day vacation at this house. There is so much to do at the house itself that we never were bored during our stay. We fished and kayak during the day and grilled and relaxed in the hot tub at night. The house is clean and gorgeous, and equipped with everything you can think of. The neighborhood area is very quiet and friendly. Everything is close by: deep sea fishing trips, scuba diving clubs, John Pennekamp State Park, grocery stores, and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and definitely plan to return. Thanks Mike!

This was the loveliest home. Very high end with granite and tile. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. We spent so much time on the dock enjoying beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The kitchen was very nicely stocked with everything we needed to prepare wonderful meals. We definately plan to return. We fished off the dock--saw a small shark and ray. Fed the pelicans. Marvelous time. Very nice location with easy access to the Everglades, Key West, and snorkeling. Mike was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much!! Lee, Martha, and family

We have vacationed in Key Largo each spring for many years and have usually stayed in the same upscale gated waterfront condo community. We made last minute plans this year and decided to do something different and Mike was very helpful with getting last minute arrangements made. We usually spend a lot of time away from our "home base" while in the Keys and this year we found that we barely left the house - except to take our boat out. The well-stocked kitchen is top notch with high-end stainless appliances, quality cookware, flatware, stemware, etc. I brought some of my own kitchenware from home because I'm picky and love to cook and I never even unpacked it. The dining room table seats 8, which is rare and would be great for a larger family. The beds are very comfy and the bedding and linens are plush and....once again....high end. When you wake up in the 3rd floor master bedroom, the first thing you see when you open your eyes is a vast expanse of blue water. There is also a great view from one of the two 2nd floor bedrooms. There are spacious 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. The 1st floor playroom area features a full bath, a full sized refrigerator, a hideabed sofa, and a flat screen TV. Our teenage son thought he had his own apartment! The wood dock is fantastic and includes both whips and a lift for those of you who own boats. From the dock and the beach area, our family had very close encounters with dolphins, manatees, sharks (only at night), horseshoe crabs, an octupus, starfish, and a friendly little hermit crab. The tiki hut at the end of the dock has 2 hammocks and is spacious enough to seat a whole family with a table and room to spare. We enjoyed several sunset dinners under the tiki hut. There is a perfect view of the sunset from the tiki hut. The jacuzzi and landscaping are great as well. It is worth mentioning, however, that there is a long flight of stairs that must be scaled to enter the rental, which might prove difficult for anyone with a physical disability. Our family is a little "vacation prone" and we've vacationed in 17 states, but have made a return trip to Key Largo every year. This rental is by far, one of the top rentals we've ever stayed in - when considering all of the amenities and the quality of thereof. We definitely hope to return in the future!

We just returned from a 5 day stay in this fabulous rental and I wish I were back sitting on the dock right now!! The place is awesome, just as shown in the photos. Mike was excellent to deal with from beginning to end, making the rental process very simple. The house is also very child friendly, which was great for our 6 and 2 year old. We loved the decor of every room. The 3rd floor master bedroom is a peaceful oasis with a phenomenal view. You can lie in bed, looking at the bay and watch the pelicans fly over. Once we arrived, we never wanted to leave the property, as it is the ultimate in relaxation. We fished (my son caught a record 21 the first day!!), swam, kayaked, jacuzzied, slept in the hammocks, caught every spectacular sunset from the dock, played in the large game room downstairs (very convenient to the beach area), grilled out and had a blast! If you do choose to leave and explore the area, this is a great location. Not too far from the airports or Miami. Stores and restaurants are close and Key West is a day trip. Our most favorite restaurant, Morada Bay (81600 Overseas Hgwy) in Islamorada is about 20 mins. away. This is a must for sunset and drinks or dinner. We try to get to the Keys every year or so and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. We can't wait to return! Thanks Mike for making wonderful memories for our family!
