Three bedroom cottage located just 100 feet from beautiful Crystal Lake and shallow swimming beach. Cottage has been recently remodeled, inside and out and occupied just a few short weeks. New appliances, furniture, bath, flooring, kitchen, linens, pots, pans and table wear, the cottage is located on a quiet country lane. Grab a book and your swim suit and enjoy the cottage, or explore fantastic northwest Michigan. The cottage is just 30 miles from Traverse City and Manistee and midway between Beulah and Frankfort. A paved biking trail is just up the road a bit and allows for a great way to get some biking time in. Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. Check in at 2:00, check out at 10:00. The beach view is incorrect. There are docks all along both views of Crystal Lake. As a result, no way to walk the beach. The bathroom and one of the bedrooms are not full ceiling height and anyone tall will run into the ceiling. The running water in the cottage smells of sulphur and has a rust color to it. The master bedroom windows have screens that do not fit and one of the windows will not stay open.
Owner response:Please feel free to contact me regarding this post. This cottage is a great little vacation place. I did have pictures posted of the beach that were taken when we purchased the cottage in the fall. I had never considered the fact it did not show docks. Most persons accustomed to Michigan inland lakes would not expect to "walk the beach" unhampered by beach front owner docks. This property is no exception. The cielings are regulation height, but do have a slant on the outside walls of two of the bedrooms. Well water can vary, at times. We do have a whole house water filter in place and have had the system sanitized. It is hard for me to imagine having a bad time while vacationing in a newly redecorated cottage on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, so I am hopeful this person's response will not impact you or your vacation plans.
