  Have just returned from a fantastic 3 week holiday at The Four Tides. The owners Alan & Jacke were the perfect hosts, on hand to give advice on where to go, where to eat & on local events taking place. The cottages were decorated with a lovely 'shabby chic' beach feel and the location was perfect, just a few metres from Brooke St & Cress St beaches. It was a perfect place for us, a family of five with 3 children aged 7, 7 & 8 to be based whilst exploring Southern California, being able to travel easily to L.A. Santa Monica, the Disney parks, & Sea World. But, moreover it was a base in the best part of Laguna Beach, with a lovely, relaxing family vibe, surrounded by loads of surfing, skate boarding, sun- bathing, quaint shops, & music in Bluebird Park!   We have been coming here every summer for over eight years and it just wouldn't be summer without our yearly visit to the Four Tides. We all look forward to coming all year and started with two weeks and then started renting for three weeks because we didn't want to leave after two. The Owners always make you feel welcome and we now feel like family. Most years the same families have rented the other units and now we look forward to seeing old friends from the years before. You start out as strangers but leave as friends! Our kids were in high school when we started coming and always had the time of their lives. This homey cottage with a deck to die for is perfectly located between two of the best beaches in Laguna - one for surfing and skimboarding and one for swimming or kayaking. It is close enough to walk on the beach to downtown or there is a free trolley. There are great restaurants and shops right there if you don't want to go downtown. Our favorite restaurant is right behind the unit. Our typical day is walking on the beach to downtown for coffee, come back and head for Cress Beach, get a Kobe burger at Sapphire Cafe, put the kayak in, sit on the beach and read and then come back to the incredible deck for sunset cocktails and then head downtown for a great meal and gelato. There are complete kitchens so you can definitely cook and there are barbecues to enjoy and we always have s'mores and sit on the deck and enjoy the great evenings with the sound of the waves. We look forward to staying here every year and the great hospitality of the owners. Thank you for making us feel like family and the incredible memories our family willl have forever!!!

  We have been seasonal renters at the Ebb Tide cottage for the past 3 years totaling over 30 months of actualy residency, and highly recommend this vacation spot to all travelers. There is a dynamic ocean view from all corners of these cottages and you will never tire of the roar of the ocean that ls literally in your front yard. The property is very well-maintained and you'll feel like you are on vacation every minute of the day! The entire area is kid-friendly and the location of these cottages is perfectly located next to all of the Laguna Beach hotspots. Once you spend an evening at the Ebb Tide cottage and experience falling asleep to the crash of the surf, you'll be hooked!

  The Four Tides is the perfect place for a Laguna Beach vacation. Literally just steps from the beach. Beautiful views of the surf and coast line. The cottage is very clean and charming with unique decorative interior. The Hosts, Allan and Jacqueline, were very accommodating. The location is great for shopping, dining, relaxing, and beach activities. The deck is a relaxing place to watch the sunset. Hearing the waves at night made me sleep soundly. We have stayed here twice and hope to return soon.

  Our stay at this home was outstanding. A true oceanfront property, you can literally walk out the front door and almost immediately down to a beautiful beach. We left the windows open at night and the ocean breeze was very enjoyable and clean. The living room is loaded with windows, all of which open to allow in the intoxicating light breeze. The house accomodated our family of five very comfortably; we cooked in the fully equipped kitchen and had plenty of storage. Our three children enjoyed sharing their roomy upstairs bedroom--again, we lacked nothing. The bathroom is well designed for coming in from the beach. The master bedroom was spacious and understated, but very nice. The house features a good sized television and accompanying electronic accessories, including a generous cable package. We enjoyed excellent internet access as well. There is a picturesque courtyard coming out of the bathroom. The hosts were personable, charming and extremely accomodating. They are knowledgeable locals and answered every question regarding the area we could come up with. They even walked down to the beach to witness our wedding! Also, the surrounding area is completely walkable and loaded with boutiques and eateries, as well as numerous oceans. I cannot recommend this property and its hosts enough. We will be back.

• Unbeatable Location!

  The location of the High Tides cottage was unbeatable. We were able to walk to restaurants and even enjoyed the Thursday Night Art Walk throughout Laguna. You can hear the waves crash as you fall asleep, which was just wonderful. The cottage itself is clean, bright, and full of sunny ocean-view windows and white linens. We walked to the beach each morning and were excited to entertain friends a few of the nights. The owners are very friendly and truly made us feel welcome - we confidently recommend The Four Tides to our friends and family for their next Laguna vacation.

  Just returned home from a delightful stay at the Ebb Tide cottage. What a charming vacation home. From the rustic pine floors to the white wood ceiling, the whole place is filled with eye candy. Beach is a 1 minute walk and you will feel like you are in another world. Laguna Beach is such a romantic, family friendly town. Parking is limited if you have guests coming to visit you. Otherwise it is a perfect getaway. Can't wait until our next visit.

  My family & I have stayed at the Four Tides twice. Both stays were amazing!! Immaculate, charming & cozy beach cottages make you never want to leave! This property is like something out of Martha Stewart Living. Located above the best beaches in Laguna. At night you can hear the waves crashing. Great location where you can walk to everything. I will go there again and again!

  I've been going to the Four Tides for decades. It's that cool. Have been in all of the units over the years. They're all great, as are the patios. Steps to Cress Street beach and the famous Brooks Street (surfers take note). Love being there; hate leaving. Nice people, too.

  We've been coming here for years and are STILL smitten by this rental. We always stay in the Ebb Tide unit because, you know, life is too short to mess with a perfect thing. Every west facing window has a view of the ocean. I'm a writer by trade and always end up inspired when I work at the desk on the first level, which has a window opening out to the Pacific. The unit is kid friendly and my two girls, 4 and 7, love our Laguna trips and get along famously in the unit. The hosts, Allan and Jacqueline, are very warm and always helpful. They are there when you need them and not when you don't. They clearly understand how special your limited time in Laguna is. My family is always happy and rejuvenated when we leave. We'll be coming here for years to come. Thanks for everything these last five years, Allan and Jacqueline!! Mike B
