Paris Arrondissement 7 apartment description
The apartment on Avenue de la Bourdonnais is so close to the Eiffel Tower that the tower's nightly, magical explosion into millions of pave diamonds will become your lullaby.
The magnificent Champs de Mars with the Eiffel Tower at one end and the Ecole Militaire at the other is just a block away. Tucked among magnificent gardens, you'll find everything from cafes to carousels. It is the perfect venue for your morning run or stroll. Stop for coffee and a croissant on the corner before returning to 29 Avenue de la Bourdonnais to get ready for your day in Paris.
This comfortable apartment is smartly decorated and well-equipped with everything from guide books to umbrellas to an alarm clock. Light pours through the window in each room, and it is exquisitely quiet--in the back of the courtyard. The first floor (French first floor, one flight up) location permits easy access with suitcases and the inevitable shopping bags you will so naturally acquire--no puzzling over how to get your luggage and you into a typically teeny French elevator.
A small grocery store at the entrance to the building ensures every desire is at your fingertips, whether that be a late night bottle of wine or bar of chocolate. The separate bedrooms afford pleasant space to curl up with a book or your travel journal even while others are enjoying music or TV in the salon.
Wireless internet and unlimited free calls to North America and Europe ensure that your family and friends can be available to share your adventures
David, a young man fluent in English, will meet you at the door upon your arrival and introduce you to the apartment. He is a resource you will come to enjoy.
Avenue de la Bourdonnais is well located for casual and fine dining, shopping and sightseeing. It is just a few blocks from the Pont de l'Alma over the Seine, the impressive new Musee de Quai Branly and the lively Rue St. Dominique. The No. 42 bus stops at the front door ready to take you to l'Opera, Galleries Lafayette and beyond. The No. 69 bus is just a few blocks away. It will take you from the Eiffel Tower past so many landmarks that a ride is a sightseeing tour in itself--Musee D'Orsay, the Louvre, the Hotel de Ville, the Bastille, and Pere LaChaise Cemetery. Jump off at Rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in all of Paris and be prepared to be mesmerized by its charm.
If it is location and comfort that you seek, 29 Avenue de la Bourdonnais will not disappoint. This apartment sparkles just like the diamonds in your Parisien evening sky.

Our family of four spent 8 wonderful days in Paris and found this conveniently located apartment the perfect place for us. The Eiffel Tower is only a block away and made for a great landmark. The unit had just the right amount of space we needed for two teens. The apartment is in a charming building with cafes and shops conveniently close. The bathroom is new, and the apartment will be freshly painted. We received great service from "our friend in Paris" who opened the unit for us and also gave us great advice, from how to get to the Metro to how to get over jet lag. The kitchen offered us the chance to pick up food from the close markets and to enjoy coffee and french bread from the bakery every morning. Overall, a very lovey experience

Manager response: Thanks so much Bonnie. It was great having you here. I did just want to note that the address in the title of the review is incorrect. No biggie, but I wanted to note that for all those google mappers out there. Best, David Your Friend in Paris
Would someone let us in??
Would someone let us in??
This apartment is quite nice and right by the effiel tower however, making sure that the lady will be there to let you in is the kicker! We had booked and paid for the apartment in full a month in advance and was told that a local woman would be letting us in. We tried to phone this woman several times throughout the weeks before we were to depart for Paris with no answer. I assumed I was maybe dialing the number wrong since it was an international number so I emailed the local Paris lady with our arrival time and when we would be at the apartment for check in. (We also assumed the owner had at least informed this lady of our arrival day as well). The day before we left I contacted the owner to let her know we still had not heard from the woman that was suppose to be letting us in and were beginning to get concerned. She stated she would contact her as well to get in touch with us. Still the next morning before we left for Paris we had heard nothing. I sent a quick email to the owner in regards to this and our hopes that it would end well when we arrived. Sure enough we arrived at the door of the apartment with no way to get in and no one around to let us in. For hours I called both the local lady and the owner to try to get someone to let us in. It was very stressful to find that we were now stranded on the streets of Paris with no where to stay. After hours of no response because both of their cell phones were going straight to voice mail we decided to go find another hotel for the night. Once we check in to this other hotel we were able to get on the Internet and I emailed the local lady again and to much my surprise she responded that she had been having phone issues (which doesn't explain as to why she was unable to respond to our emails before we had arrived) and would let us into the apartment tomorrow. I also emailed the owner and she responded as well with apologies and insisted on amending the situation by offering us another nights stay free as well as 1 nights refund. This did make us feel a little better but the stress of the situation definitely out weighed this. We did take her up on the offer and stayed an additional night however, it has been a month since our stay and we have still yet to receive a refund as she has promised and she has also failed to respond to any further emails in regards to this from us. I will say again the apartment itself is nice and in a great location. Just make sure you are going to be able to get inside it!
