Positives: - SIZE (Huge! We had a group of 10, including 3 children and had room to spare!) - LOCATION (Close to everything you would want to see/do in Drumheller and East Coulee and so very peaceful at night with crickets singing you to sleep!) - COST (One of the most affordable rental out there! Would have never expected to find such a good deal on a place that is so beautiful!) - CONTENTS OF HOUSE (Gorgeous and playful antiques! Everything you would need in the kitchen/bedrooms/bathrooms AND tons of current movies and games with lots of seating for a fun movie night - one night after sightseeing we had a bbq and then wrapped ourselves up in blankets and had smores & popcorn and watched movies - so fun!) - OWNERS (So friendly and generous! Great communication! Even assured us we wouldn't have to bring our own crib/playpen as they had one available!) Negatives: - None. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. (Wish we could have stayed longer!!) :)

The area is such a great place to tour--2 nights were just not long enough! We will definitely be coming back and staying at this house again. Thanks for a great stay!

We absolutely love this rental home. The setting is wonderful with unobstructed views of the valley hills, and is close to many local attractions and free museums as well as being a relaxing and pleasant place to just unwind all on its own. It is has an attractive and well kept exterior and yard with a back patio and BBQ for outdoor entertaining. The interior is exceptionally well appointed with quality furnishings, high end antiques and a marvellous clock collection. It is meticulously clean, and features the full suite of appliances including washer/dryer, fridge/stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker and all of the products and utensils that go with them. The cupboards are stocked with all of the cups, dishes and cook ware you could possibly want. There are two big flat screen TVs with cable and enough DVD movies to keep any taste satisfied, as well as wireless internet, board games, books, magazines and cozy blankets for naps. Regardless of the weather, there will be something to do. The owner is very helpful, friendly and accessible, making you feel very comfortable and secure. We highly recommend this property to travellers who are used to higher end hotel suites and five star accommodations, you will not be disappointed. Plenty of beds and bathrooms make it great for families or couples who like to vacation together. Local attractions we liked are: the Royal Tyrell Dinosaur Museum, the Atlas mine tours, hiking in Horse Thief Canyon, the suspension bridge, the Hoo Doos and the eleven bridges to Wayne and Last Chance saloon where you can BBQ your own steak on the outdoor patio. We will definitely be coming back!
Owner response:THANK YOU. It was our honor to meet you folks and of course Rosie. We appreciate your kind words. We are thrilled when our guests love our place. Please come back again and of course Rosie. Thank again.

We (4 adults and 4 children (ages 5, 4, 18 mths, and 3 mths) stayed here for two nights and were very happy with the house. It was as described on the VRBO website. We had plenty of room and the house was well equiped for young families. We have stayed in many vacation rental properties and found that this one was one of the best with respect to the cutlery, cooking utensils, and towels/linen that were provided. Don't hesitate to rent from the property owner as they are very helpful in answering your questions and requests.
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words. We appreciate that guests realize that we go over and above to make their stay exceptionable. Thank you for the exceptional email of :You have travelled all over the world with vacation rentals and this is by far the best. This does our hearts good and Thank you. Thanks again and we appreciate your business. Kathy

We have used vacation rentals for years for 3-4 couples. This is the best we have used. It is clean and well enough located to the amenities of the Drumheller area. The home is spacious and very suitable for entertaining yourselves indoors when the weather is bad. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any food. It is a very comfortable and relaxing place to lodge.

Thank you so much for the great stay at your property! I found this on the website (not on VRBO) and we absolutely loved it! Drumheller is only a short drive away and you feel so at home in the house! Kathy is a wonderful host and I would recommend it to anyone!

Had a wonderful family vacation in picturesque Drumheller. Location to all amenities was great. Quiet spot and very well mantained home. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Well-supplied kitchen. Had everything we needed for our children. Close to big playground and hoo-doos. Will definitely return soon.
Owner response:Thanks for your kind review. We are thrilled to welcome families for their stay in Drumheller. This beautiful home offers all to families and a most amazing view of the valley. It was our pleasure to have you. Thanks again. Kathy

We just arrived home from a 4 day stay at the red house. In the words of some of my granchildren "The best holiday ever!" Everyone felt at home as soon as we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped-the beds were very comfortable-we had everything we needed. The house is neat and clean. East Coulee is so close to all the things we wanted to do - we came back to the house for all our meals and spent time just relaxing there. The playground is a block away - the kids loved it. Also the museum and antique store were easy to walk to. Very interesting furnishings and memorabilia in the house. Our family included children ages 3-12 and their Great Grandma . We all loved it. We plan to rent this house again and will recommend it to others. Thanks for a great holiday!
Owner response:Thanks for your kindness. We truly give our best effort to ensure everyone's stay is a wonderful and pleasant and relaxing experience. Thank you and we truly appreciate your business and please refer others and come again. It was a pleasure to have you all.

Just wanted to thank you again for such a great stay. You are amazing hosts. We were most appreciative of your warmth, kindness and the "little touches" such as the email to let us know about the RCMP musical ride. Your home was very well appointed and it was a great place to sit back, visit and relax. MTrawick and 7 friends.

Although 15 minutes out of town in East Coulee, this is a great place for a couple of families to bunk down together. Plenty of room, excellent selection of DVDs, really neat antique decor, washer and dryer. Five bedrooms and three bathrooms. You have to do clean up yourself but it's a small price to pay for a quiet night's sleep and the savings versus a cramped hotel in Drumheller.

We just stayed at the red house for our family holidays and would recommend it to anyone! Our party included my husband, our 2 year old daughter, 3 month old son, 7 year old niece and myself and there was moe than enough room for us! This house could easily accommidate more people! It was about a 15-20 minute drive into Drumhellar, but we enjoyed the drive as there were many tourist stops along the way! Kathy was very helpful and has stocked the house with everything you need, even popcorn to enjoy while watching one of the many dvds in the collection downstairs. She even had a crib set up for our son when we got there! The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. When we holiday in Drumhellar again we know where we will be staying!
Owner response:Sara and family. Thank you for the beautiful Thank you card. It's was wonderful.and very kind. Thanks again and please come again and we appreciate it your business. Please refer others.

6 of us decided to go on a DinoAdventure to Drumheller for a few days, and we found the PERFECT spot to stay! A beautiful, cozy, roomy house in a little Alberta Ghost Town. Even the beds were comfortable! We were so glad we decided on staying here instead of a Drumheller hotel, as you have everything you need and more, and get to sightsee a lot more and it is in the perfect location for all the other things we wanted to check out. (School Museum, Coal Mine, Hoodoos, Suspension Bridge, and just the badlands and Drumheller in general). I'm sure we will be visiting again, thank you so much Kathy!
Owner response:It was wonderful to have you all. Come again and refer friends. Kathy

We are a family of 6 and hotels are just not an option for us, so we prefer vacation rentals and we were blown away with this place. It exceeded our expectations by far! The view was beautiful and serene and the craftmanship of the house was incredible. We are already trying to plan our next holiday so that we can come back to this wonderful red house! Thank you so much!
Owner response:Thank you leo/carla and family. It was a honor and pleasure to have you stay. Please come and visit us again and please refer others. We appreciate your business. (Kathy/Bruce/Charles)

On behalf of my family & friends we just want to thank You for opening up your very beautiful, well made, comfortable home to us. We felt priviledged to be able to stay in such a warm and loving and organized and very clean. It is totally NO COMPARISON TO ANY 5 STAR HOTEL ACCOMODATION! Plus meeting you - I felt an immediately sense of genuine concern. THE RED HOUSE is like the Main ATTRACTION of our Drumheller Holidays and NOT the Dinosaurs. Sincerely Ting Elger and company

My family and I have visited Drumheller twice before, this vacation was the best ever, primarily due to this wonderful home that we rented. The pictures posted on this site do not do justice to the incredible view from every window. Location from Drumheller is fantastic-15 minute drive. I would highly recommend this fully equipped home over a hotel any day. The theatre style popcorn maker was a hit for movie nights, and what a nice selection of movies. I did not want to return to my own house. Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet you, Kathy, and your family-maybe next time. Thanks again.

Our family of four just spent three nights in this fantastic, well-equipped vacation rental. It is very conveniently located in proximity to many area attractions (The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, the Atlas Coal Mine, The World's Largest Dinosaur & Rotary Spray Park, the Hoodoos, etc.) yet it's location offers a place of quiet relaxation after a day of exploration -- VERY MUCH preferable to hotel lodging. The owners have equipped the home with all the necessities (well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, BBQ, area information, etc.) as well as many, many extras. Our kids loved the theatre style popcorn maker, the assortment of DVDs, and eating breakfast at the "high" table looking out over the valley. We loved the spaciousness and privacy. We had the opportunity to meet the owners, Bruce & Kathy and their son Charles, and we must extend sincere appreciation to each of them for their warmth and hospitality. They provided very valuable information about must-see attractions nearby and in the greater surrounding area. We extend sincere appreciation to the homeowners for sharing their home, and we HIGHLY recommend this location to visitors to the Drumheller area.
Owner response:Thank You. It was a pleasure to have such wonderful families and we want families to feel like they are at home when they are away from home. The Fouts family are exceptional folks and it was awesome to meet their children. We will not forget the cousin stories on the bikes. Thanks again, Stay in touch and please come again. We just arrived back from Drumheller after spending 3 days there, enjoying this lovely home with its spaciousness and warm decor. Each of our children had their own bedroom and space, we had our own privacy, and we had plenty of quiet sleep - so much better than staying in a hotel room! We enjoyed watching some of their DVDs and cuddling up as a family on their sectional couch in the basement family room. We enjoyed our breakfasts together each morning in the dining area and our outdoor barbecues on the rear deck each evening. This house with its antiques and memorabilia displayed gave it character which I have not yet seen in a vacation rental. The kitchen was well equipped, I think Kathy thought of everything one would need on their vacation. We really enjoyed meeting the owners - they really went above and beyond for us - thank you very much for everything!
Owner response:Wow, Its a pleasure to have such wonderful guests. Thank-you for your kind words. Kathy/Bruce
