I stayed at one of Baden Powell departments for a long term period, between May 2010 and March 2011, and everything was perfect. The department was very confortable, with a complete kitchen, cable TV, Wi-Fi, hot water and a very nice king bed. The location, at just 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral and historic center, is also excelent. Departments are kept clean every week, and towels, sheets and blankets are changed in the same frequency. There is a cheap laundry just by the corner. It was very easy for me to concentrate in my research, since I had nothing to worry about the department I was staying. The owner, Eugenio, is very helpful and attentive. I highly recommend Baden Powell departments.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind words! I hope more graduate students and professors visit us in the future. I promise to treat them very well! Obrigado!

The apartments at Casa Baden-Powell offer a unique haven in a busy city. Within an easy walk to the cathedral and all you might need, the apartments are safe and very comfortable. They are quiet and contain all the necessities of home. All for less than the cost of a hotel room! Eugenio has thought of every detail - from the umbrella hanging by the door to the wine waiting on the table. My questions were responded to by Regina quickly and efficiently. Friends and family who stayed with me during my month in Morelia were very impressed with the apartment. I will return soon!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind words! I am glad you were able to enjoy Morelia and our apartment. We do our best to facilitate both experiences. You will be very welcome next time you visit us!

I am amost reluctant to let the word get out: these apartments are one of the best deals in Mexico! I just finished a week's stay in Apartment "C". The apartments are virtually new, tastefully carved out of old bulidings: "C" with a large bedroom (with kingsized bed), separate living/dining area and fully equipped kitchen. It was distant from the street and very quiet. The location couldn't have been better: a block from Madero - and midway between the historic center and the more attrractive area of Fray Antonio. They are associated with the B&P language school and can provide all sorts of other services (tour guides with perfect English, reliable airport service and instruction). The interaction before and after my arrival could not have been easier or more congenial: thanks Regina!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing.
Owner response: Dear friends, I am glad you found our apartments comfortable and our services helpful and professional. Yes, besides the apartment house, we also run the Baden-Powell Spanish school, area tours and airport pick ups, but all services are independent and may be hired as such. Packages are always possible, too.

About the owner: I grew up in Morelia, but life took me to study in North America and Europe. I did my University and post graduate studies in Switzerland, where I lived for ten years. I learned about hospitality and how to introduce others to my city and culture. Additionally, I always wanted to have a property within Old Colonial Morelia, my youth's hometown. Ever since I have enjoyed both traveling and sharing my vacation apartment with foreigners. Morelia is a well kept secret that retains the beauty and flavour of transplanted Spanish towns. I hope you'll enjoy all that Morelia has to offer. You'll want to keep coming back! Eugene Cortes, Morelia, Mexico.
Why the Owner Chose Morelia:
Downtown Morelia is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Cities in Mexico and to my taste the most beautiful one.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
You will enjoy tranquility and culture in a place full of light and sun.
