This is a place inviting you to feel at home. The entire house has been tastefully decorated , providing a unique and inspiring feel.
On warm days you can lounge in the shade of the flower-surrounded back porch, or warm up on cold rainy days next to the electric fireplace.
This is on the bike path and bus route. With-in walking distance to coffee shop, grocery store, financial institutions, post office, library, quilt shop, restaurants, wine tasting etc.
Corvallis, home of Oregon State University, is located just 10 minutes away and offers a friendly home town atmosphere with a variety of stores, river front restaurants and a wonderful farmers market (Apr-Nov) with fresh local produce, fruits, flowers, honey, jams and more.
The magnificent Oregon coast is merely 40 miles west. There you will find a variety of things to do including crabbing, whale watching, deep sea fishing or just walking on the beach.
Our region offers many hiking trails such as Mary’s Peak the highest point in the coastal range and the magnificent Alsea Falls.
If you like birding the Willamette Valley is the place to be.

Year Purchased: 1992
My husband came to Corvallis to attend Oregon State University and never left. He grew up in the Portland area I grew up in eastern Oregon. We then married, have four married children and now have four grandchildren. We feel that in the Willamette Valley you get the best of both worlds, one hour to the beach, one hour to the mountains and one hour to the big city (Portland). This is the place we call home.
Why the Owner Chose Corvallis
We originally had our grandmother live here in our cottage and just a year ago decided to rent it out. We found the Corvallis area was in high demand for overnight lodging. We felt there were enough activities in the surrounding area to rent it out and make a little money while doing it.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
The best part of having a rental is we have met some wonderful people from all over the United States. When you get in this room you just want to kick back and relax. It's very quiet and cozy and the bed is very comfortable with soft sheets. Most people don't want to leave. It is a very spacious studio (700 sq ft)that has all the amenities of home.

Thanks so much for the home away from home, for the comfy bed, fluffy towels and cozy porch. We were able to be with our family and friends in a comfortable, private, lovely home and that meant the world to us. Your attention to detail was obvious and we loved the games and pooltable. It will be sad to leave in the morning but we will be back.

I wish I could have a room like this everywhere we go on vacation. I love to be able to cook while I'm away from home. I feel very lucky to have found this place. Beats staying in a motel by far. Loved having the extra room, couches, table. It was a perfect place for my husband , myself and our 1 1/2 year old daughter. You guys seem like very nice people with a great family. Thank you!

I've enjoyed staying here the past month. This is such a "snug" place and so quiet. It's been nice to be close to my family here in Corvallis and to avoid the zero weather in Lakeview. Everything is well furnished and this is an ideal place to spend several weeks. Thank you

Jim and I came over for yet another Army training week-end. While he was at his training I was in my cousins wedding in Corvallis. We had a wonderful time, as always at the adorable cottage. I slept like a baby in that bed! We can't wait to come again.

"Best place I've ever stayed in Oregon!" The above quote is so true - it should be listed in the New York Times! Seriously - we have stayed all over Oregon these last few years. We love Oregon, Corvallis, OSU and Philomath and this is the best place of all! We are honored to have had or daughter graduate from Oregon State University! What a great school and great state. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay here for this last weekend. It was so comfortable, quiet, and very homelike for our family. Great host and hostess too!
