You'll enjoy our waterside villa, located at 905 Inverness Village in Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, voted the "World's Best" family resort by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine. We include beach bikes for the half mile ride to the beach and on many miles of bike paths on our Island. There's also a free on call shuttle bus to take you to the beach or elsewhere in Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove.
We have 2 pools and 3 (free) clay courts just across the waterway from our villa. Palmetto Dunes Resort has a world class tennis complex, 3 golf courses, 11 miles of waterway for paddling, a general store, several fine restaurants, Hilton and Marriott hotels and easy access to 12 miles of broad Atlantic beaches via 2 dunes houses with free parking.
Our villa is an end unit with lots of natural light and magnificent views over the waterway and the George Fazio golf course. The deck, which overlooks the 3rd and 7th fairways, provides mile long water vistas while the dining room has a great view of the 7th green and waterway.
Our home has 1475 sq. ft. on ground level. The living room has cable TV, DVD, CD, VCR and cassette players. The dining area seats 7 with china and crystal available for your special dinners. Our fully equipped kitchen includes breakfast nook and laundry. Air conditioning and major appliances are all under warranty and constantly being updated.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, walk in closet, TV and en suite bathroom with walk in tiled shower, double sinks. 1 piece toilet.
The guest bedroom has twin beds and a futon (sleeping 2 or 3) TV/DVD and adjacent 4 piece bath and shower combo..
The villa also has a collection of books, music and videos. WiFi is available.
Dolphin watch and other cruises are available from nearby Shelter Cove. A professional center for the performing and visual arts is there, as are more restaurants, a mall and shopping plaza. The historic cities of Savannah, GA, Beaufort and Charleston, SC are pleasant drives away.

Year Purchased: 1991
We retired in 1995 after long careers: Lisa as assistant to an eye surgeon; Michael as Dean of Busines of the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Yes, we left the "Wet Coast" as we call it, for the Atlantic coast, warmed by the Gulf Stream and for Hilton Head Island's twelve miles of broad sandy beaches.
Why the Owner Chose Inverness Village
We first visited Hilton Head Island for a week in 1984 and kept returning for longer and longer periods every year. After visiting many other places, we decided to buy 905 Inverness Village as our "Winter" retirement home. We live here from roughly mid October to mid April and spend the rest of the year in our Blue Mountains home on the Niagara Escarpment overlooking Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada.
Because this is our second home it is furnished and maintained to suit our every need - and yours!

The Unique Benefits of this Villa
We enjoy the long views from our villa compared to more common views (we don't look at other real estate). It gives us privacy and tranquility so we can just enjoy the gardens and birds and "get away from it all"! Yet in Palmetto Dunes Resort we are at the center of the Island with easy access to the ocean, beach, golf, tennis, restaurants, shopping, theaters, concerts and every other activity that one could want. We regard our beautiful Hilton Head Island as the closest thing to Paradise in North America! We know you will love it too!

Dear Lisa and Michael, We just arrived in your wonderful home. It is just great. We are happy to be here and certainly will enjoy very much. We are now going for shopping for dinner and breakfast. Tomorrow golf. We are enjoying our holidays in you home extremely. It is simply a paradise. At breakfast and dinner time as well we are looking on the fairway of the 7th. Counting the balls falling into the water. Viewing the sundown at the horizon. Just 2 days left. We have appointed to leave at around 12 on Friday. Two hours before flight departure ( 2 pm) from here should be enough. Everything here is wonderful. We certainly would like to come back, perhaps in March/April 2011.

Just wanted to drop a line to let you know that we had such a wonderful time last week. It was a time of making sweet memories, relaxing, and recharging together as a family. Your home was so comfortable as well as beautiful and we so appreciated having such a welcoming place to come back to after playing all day on the island. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it! We had such a great time that we are considering a return trip to spend the week of July 17-24th there. If there is any chance your home will be available for that week, we'd love to know. We returned from our trip south late this afternoon and although we wrote in your guest log, we wanted to provide you with a prompt and heartfelt Thank You. We simply had the best week imaginable ! Your villa is absolutely lovely, wonderfully equipped, tastefully decorated, immaculately maintained. Additionally, it is in the most fantastic location , with golf right outside the door, the lagoon off the deck, a stone throw to the spectacular pool and the beach and everything else a very short walk or bike ride away. We enjoyed breakfasts in the sundrenched kitchen nook and on the patio and dinners in your beautiful dinning room.. Meals were so enjoyable at home that we only ate out twice all week !! I don't have to tell you how beautiful and wonderful the scenery and wildlife is. Even though this was our second visit to HH, the children ( as were we) were enthralled with all the birds ( and squirrels) that visited the feeder and the abundant waterfowl we saw as we biked and walked, fish, dolphins, turtles, crabs, deer and even the alligators who were out on the local golf course ponds. We witnessed so much and well the weather was immaculate 80*+ and clear blue sky every day , we saw clouds one day. You are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful second home. Please rest assured that we enjoyed it totally , followed all your guidelines, yet treated it with the utmost care and respect and left it as clean and tidy as when we arrived. Please be advised that we tried to play a few DVD's in the living room DVD player and the machine would not read/play them. We were able watch them using the DVD machine that is built into the tv in the second bedroom. As I am sure you know all too well, it was very hard to leave. We have decided to make Hilton Head our annual family vacation destination for as long as we are able to do so. As such, we would be thrilled if you would consider us as tenants again for our next year's trip. At this time , we would most probably be looking at the same week (May 15 through May 22) . Please let us know. We are also discussing whether we can add an additional week to the front end, however this would be contingent on work commitments and need to be confirmed at a later time. Michael and Lisa, thank you once again for sharing your home and providing our family with indelible memories that we will cherish forever.

We've had such a great time here. I can't believe we never came to Hilton Head before. Hopefully, you'll let us rent your place again. The location is perfect and we've taken advantage of everything around here. We played the Fazio golf course, rented kayaks and went around the lagoons, have enjoyed the beach, gone fishing and Dan is playing tennis this a.m. I keep saying how hard it is to find anything wrong with Hilton Head, and our 11 year old daughter keeps asking if we can come back here every year!
