The two story duplex is beachfront with a walkway with no steps through the green area to the wide sandy beach on the island at Sunset Beach.
This is as large a home as the zoning allows. The house was designed to be open and spacious with lots of windows to show off the view. It is a great place for families.
The top floor has three bedrooms and three baths: the master bedroom has a king bed and a queen sofa as well as a large balcony. The second bedroom has a queen bed; the third one has a lofted full size double bed over a queen bed.
The 4th bedroom is located on the first level with its own full bathroom. The bedroom has a king bed that will divide to make two long singles or can be made as a king.
The kitchen is fully equipped for those who enjoy cooking fresh seafood from the docks at nearby Calabash, or simply feeding the whole family from a kitchen where 3 people can easily work.
The duplex connects on both levels to its sister and when rented together offer 8 bedrooms and 8 baths for larger families or family reunions.
Walks and swims are favorite activities as Bird Island nearby is a nature conservatory location with dunes and sea. Great biking destination as well. Bikes, ocean kayaks and linens can be rented nearby at Julie's rentals and all types of restaurants are available off the island.
Restaurants range from everyday prices to fine dining all within 20- 25 minutes. Enjoy the view, the relaxing atmosphere and porch rockers on the deck looking directly at the ocean at sunset.

Why the Owner Chose Sunset Beach
The view of the Atlantic Ocean right out the window with the green bank of myrtle trees in front made us select this lot. We built a 2300 sq two story townhouse side by side with many windows to highlight the long view of the ocean. We like Sunset Beach over other area beaches because of its ecologically green policies. Lots of open beach is attached to Bird Island where there are only dunes and sea. It is very tranquil, yet next to around 40 golf courses and lots of restaurants from 3 to 20 minutes away. The island is great for families and kids. We put in a gourmet kitchen and all the amenities we have at home. A week or weekend there takes you off the everyday path and mindset to a relaxing beautiful spot. Swimming, surfing, biking and all kinds of beach games join biking, ocean kayaking and fishing as well as other sports in nearby areas off the island.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
You will enjoy a comfortable well kept home which offers total comfort from the beds to the furnishings. A big screen TV and DVD help rainy days along with puzzles and lots of space to cook. You cannot leave the house without remembering the wonderful view, the high ceilings and the openness of the porches and decks. If you have to contact someone, there is high speed internet and wireless service available so you can keep in touch or make restaurant reservations!

We were captured by the charm of Sunset Beach. It is green and well zoned. We needed a get away and have enjoyed so many weeks there together both winter and summer.
