It's never too far from your house to Point "B"! Here's a great opportunity to stay on beautiful Bald Head Island at an especially affordable price. We offer a 3 bedroom, 3 bath property complete with all the amenities to make your vacation a dream come true. We repainted and refreshed everything in 2008.
The main house has two bedrooms on the first floor, each with a queen bed, with two connecting bathrooms. A few steps away on an elevated walkway you reach the very private third bedroom with a double bed (and single roll-away), a coffee-maker, and its own full bath and deck overlooking the lagoon and golf course. There is also a large screened porch just off the master bedroom, where many have happily slept on cots or sleeping bags. Our house is equally suitable for three couples who'll each have a "master suite", or for large families with children. There's one crib tucked away for your use.
There's a partially paved courtyard enclosed by a picket fence where you can grill outside. Flowering jasmine, pittosporum and rosemary add fragrance to the air. Upstairs there's a deck off the great room, just the place for morning coffee or evening drinks, and from there you're likely to spot herons, ibis, osprey and other birds coming to enjoy the lagoon.
You're just minutes away from the Harbor and the beaches by golf cart, bicycle or foot. Just as close-by, you can reach creek access for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. The Village is three minutes away where you'll have free Wi-Fi access at the Community Center.
The Village center is also the site of Town Hall, the Chapel, the PO and Old Baldy, our beloved old lighthouse. The Maritime Market (seven minutes away) is a well-stocked grocery emporium and deli, with really good breakfasts, sandwiches, and snacks. It's tucked into the maritime forest close to other retail shops and the new spa. Several good restaurants are located in the Harbor area.
Prospective renters should be aware that there is no club membership associated with our house, and the savings are passed on to our guests. Our rates are the best on the island. If golfing, the club pool and club dining are important to you, it would be best to look for another house. But if you want to come and enjoy the beaches, marshes, creeks and the best of island life, you're going to enjoy the experience of staying at Point B.
Bicycles, boats and beach chairs (along with umbrellas, boogie boards, and shovels) are waiting for your family. After a wonderful day of island activities you'll return to your peaceful retreat on the lagoon. The dining table can seat six to eight, with more seats at the bar. You'll find a video and CD library, lots of puzzles, games and books and, at bedtime, high quality linens and bedding. And the stargazing and quiet sounds of nature at night are amazing!

Bald Head Island is a uniquely beautiful spot where we can enjoy the beaches as well as the maritime forest, creeks, marshes and all the wonderful wildlife that make it their home as well.
The Unique Benefits at this House
In addition to all the usual amenities our home offers 3 bikes, 2 kayaks and one old canoe. We also have satellite TV, a good music system, and lots of videos and games. The house is nestled by a beautiful lagoon that hosts all kinds of birds. The view from the upstairs deck is amazing, and from the screened porch below you can spend an enchanted evening just listening to the chorus of frogs, peepers, crickets and who-knows-what!
Great beach for families with small children. Very gentle waves, tidal pools, lots of white sand.
East beach usually has the wildest waves and the fewest people. Absolutely beautiful.

We spent a very relaxing week in this charming house. We had everythig we needed, and even found the beds to be comfortable...which NEVER happens in rentals. The owner is very attentive and accomodating, and was quick to answer any questions we had leading up to the trip. We would definitely recommend this house!

What a wonderful home Point B is!! The owner's beautiful artwork is displayed everywhere in her home and my family and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. Our grandsons enjoyed being on "alligator watch" (although we never did see him!), making sandcastles on the beach, attempting to catch some fish, shelling, boogie boarding, eating at Eb and Flo's on our first night in, and our granddaughters both one in August, were so much fun to watch on the beach!! It was a fun holiday weekend making wonderful family memories and a fabulous home in which to do so!!

We stayed in this house from June 26th thro July 4th and thoroughly enjoyed ur lovely home and all it had to offer. We travelled from Dublin Ireland for a wedding on Baldhead and after 22 hours travel we arrived at ur home and knew we had made the right choice. 4 Adults and 2 teenage girls (who chose to stay in the crofter their very own apartment!!wow) this house is spacious clean close to everything including beach restaurants chapel and village and contains all u need for a wonderful holiday...Our party had several homes dotted around the island large and small but I definitly think we got the better one...PS the alligater and turtle popped up to say hello too!!!and we played those CDs of yours and rocked those chairs right off their heel every nite over cupla glasses of wine...Thank you for a great vacation we found it very hard to get back to the grindstone when we got back to Ireland!!

Our group of 6 had a great time while staying at Point B!! The house was very nice and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Memorial Day weekend 2010. Point B is in the best location on the island... close to the market, close to Eb & Flo's, close to the river access, and close to the beach!!
