LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! This condo is in the original Northstar Village Building. As you can see from the pictures, if you look to the right from our outdoor patio you can see the New Northstar Village reception area. It’s that wonderful landmark building with the round copper roof. When you look to the left you see the stairway that goes up to the skating rink and many shops of the Northstar Village. The path to the gondola is directly below our patio. You can ride the elevator down in the morning and walk 50 feet to “Earthly Delights” for your morning coffee (if you don’t feel like making your own). You can see “Earthly Delights from the patio. The front wall of our condo is all glass so you can open it up and watch the snow or just enjoy the beautiful day, but the loft is still very private even with the living room wide open.
There are TV, DVD, VHS, and a small CD stereo player in the living room. There is also a gas fireplace in the living room. This is a top floor unit which allows nice views and privacy with no one above you.
The sleeping arrangement is an open loft with two queen beds. In the living room there is a sleeper sofa that makes out in to a queen bed as well. This is complete with down comforters and pillows. The dinette seats six comfortably.
Enjoy the excitement of being right in the Village and watching the skiers walking to and from the lifts (when you’re not on the hill yourself) during the day. There is the special feeling of being in the middle of things when you wake up in the morning and then again in the evening when all the activity slows down. Speaking of activity, there is the occasional grooming machine working in the night or early morning clearing the pathways and the parking lots after a heavy snow. We think of it as the beautiful sounds of our friends out there preparing the slopes to perfection for our wonderful day of skiing tomorrow. Aren’t we lucky getting to enjoy the snow without having to worry about shoveling it?
Northstar also has a “Nordic Center” and “warming huts” for snow shoeing, cross country skiing and Nordic skating.
Summer time fun includes horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking where the lift takes you up and you ride down, Championship golf and driving range and swimming. Northstar’s tennis center holds national tennis clinics. Nearby: Shakespeare festival on Lake Tahoe, Boating on Lake Tahoe, “Woodies” festival with hundreds of beautiful old Criss Craft and Century type wood boats that have been restored ………..much, much more.
The original condos, as is the case with many mountain homes, do not have central air cooling – they do have central heat. We have installed top-of-the-line Casablanca ceiling fans in both the living room and the loft to circulate the mountain breezes in the summer time.
You will have access to the Northstar Recreation center during your stay which includes 3 year-round spas (hot tubs), large family swimming pool and toddler pool open in the summer, lap pool open year-round, full gym equipment including free weights, saunas, showers, summer time snack bars, year-round game room (with pool, ping pong, air hockey, arcade games), summer time grass and children’s play area, picnic tables and barbeques. You may know that the owners and guests of the New Village Condos do not have access to this activity center. They must bus or drive down to Old Greenwood or Gray’s Crossing for tennis etc. We feel very fortunate to have access to this Recreation Center! As of fall, 2010, the Recreation Center charges $2.00/person/day on admission.
In the condo you will find our welcome binder listing many great activities and resources as well as directing you to our local concierge service. The condo is equipped with carbon monoxide monitors and smoke detectors.
We have our own parking space under the building with an elevator from the garage to the third floor. The elevator opens about 30 feet from the front door of our condo. Luggage carts are stowed in the parking garage stairwell.

Map & Owner's Profile
Why the Owner Chose Northstar
We have loved Northstar for over 30 years. We taught our children to ski here and are now teaching our grand children to ski here. Northstar is the most family friendly resort ever. Winter and Summer!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Unique Benefits of our condo in the Original Village are: proximity to the lift and slopes, top floor with vaulted ceilings, great lighting that we built in so that we can play games, do jigsaw puzzles and read any time we want to. Lighting is on dimmers so that we can set any mood we want from romantic to party! Covered Parking. Can go to Earthly Delights Deli in your bedroom slippers -and I do, even when it is snowing - to pick up that quart of milk or gourmet entre!
The Google map shows the marker a bit off so I added this marker in the actual location of the condo.
Our condo is actually in the village. It is one of the original village condos. The new village was built right in front of our condo. Very convenient and beautiful. We love it.
Owner's Map of Northstar
Jim grew up in Southern California. Kathy grew up in Northern California. In 1978 when our children were two and three years old Kathy's parents (living in Santa Rosa) "kidnapped" the children for some fun at Northstar. The next year we all went and have been going to Northstar ever since. In the summer we call it our family summer camp. We purchased our first condo on the Ski Trails in 1993 and our second in the Original Village in 1997. This year, spring of 2010, we were fortunate to acquire our New Village Condo. We love hosting guests and enjoy trying to make their stays memorable. We want each of them to love Northstar as much as we do.

Like the description mentioned, the location could not be any better. We could walk to the shops, restaurants and to ski. The place is small but has everything. We would go back to the same villa next time we are in the area. The television was old when we arrived. The owner had it replaced immediately. We appreciate the efficiency of getting things done fast. Thank you.

We had a fantastic weekend of March Spring Skiing and fun at the property. With three active boys (all under 12), there was enough room in the condo for hanging out, eating breakfast or take-out at the large table, and comfortably sleeping. Everything was clean and as advertised, and the owner was accessible if we had any questions. We left the car under the building and didn't touch it until four days later, which is such as treat. We had been to Northstar once before, and really loved the village feel - with the lifts, restaurants and other amenities an easy walk from the condo. My family made full use of the fire pits, marshmallow roasting, roller skating rink (already converted from ice skating), arcade, and heated pool... and I almost forgot the bunjee jumping (the kids, not me!). The band playing in the afternoon at the roller skating rink really took me back to 1982. I am sure we will be back to this condo next winter, if not for some fun during the summer. Thanks so much!

Very good value and excellant, comfortable accomodation in the heart of Northstar. Two block walk to gondola and could ski all way to door if snow covered parking lot. Nice convenient covered parking. Comfortably sleeps 4, could sleep 6, nice full kitchen. Balcony overlooks village street below and has a gas grill. Steps to 3 restaurants, 2 bars and a general store. Spend some time online to search for lift tix deals.

We stayed here in January 2011 and couldn't have asked for a better location than this great condo. It is just steps away from all the fun of Northstar Village, which was perfect with our 4-year-old -- we could go out for a bit, come back to rest, and then head out again without the hassle of driving and parking. The condo is immaculately maintained and very comfortable, and we appreciated the covered parking space right under the building! We will recommend this condo and Northstar Village to anyone looking to stay right in the heart of all the action. We hope to be back soon!

My girlfriend and I took our 5 yrs old sons skiing for a few days and had a wondeful time. The condo is charming and spacious and has everything you need. The location is perfect! Specially for little ones who don't like to walk too long with their ski equipment. I would rent it again anytime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful condo. Very comfortable and clean and so convenient for skiing. Right in the village so easy access to restaurants, ice skating, shopping and the beautiful rec center. Once we arrived we didn't use the car until it was time to leave! Kathy is a pleasure to work with.

We heard about this condo from friends, and are forever grateful we did! The owner was exceedingly patient and helpful getting the paperwork done, and was readily available by cell phone whenever we had a question - certainly a welcome personal touch when so many transactions are handled online these days. The condo couldn't be more perfect. Our downhill biking teenage boys were walking distance from the lift, and the adults could relax and enjoy the surroundings without having to get in the car. The layout was spacious enough to afford privacy without any closed doors. We'll definitely return no matter what time of year.

We had a great stay this summer at this uber convenient condo. Everything is as advertised and more. The deli is just down the stairs/elevator and the parking spot is too for day trips away from Northstar if you choose. Listening to the summer jazz and live music from the balcony late afternoons is great too. It was clean as a whistle and was very easy to arrange in and out with the owner! Definitely a good stay.

Great location, great condo. Not only is the gondola a 2 minute walk away, but the balcony gets the afternoon sunlight, giving you a warm deck to lounge about on after a hard day of snowboarding. Next time we go back to Northstar, we're definitely staying here. Great location, great value.
