Welcome to Camp Yachats Vacation Cottage, where the forest meets the sea, and the beach is almost always deserted! This one of a kind cottage is privately owned and managed by the on-site owners. The two front rooms and porch offer an ocean view through the trees. Camp Yachats Vacation Cottage is situated on 2 acres and features 2 bedrooms, a small yet fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and a small bright bathroom. Relax in a rocker on the porch, listen to the ocean’s waves, and breathe in the cool clean air while keeping an eye out for the eagles and hummingbirds in residence.
Walk to the beach down our private mossy path edged by ferns, salal, huckleberry, and Sitka spruce. There you’ll find wide sandy beaches and rocky tide pools, only 800 feet from your front door, just across the Scenic Pacific Coast Byway. Stroll along the beaches, typically empty except for agates, driftwood, and shore birds.
Just behind the cottage you may follow a trail to the banks of the year round Mill Creek (about 150 feet from your back door). What a great spot for lunch, on the picnic table by the rushing water with tall trees, ferns, and wildflowers all around. Or you might unwind at the table under the apple tree in the backyard garden.
This charming cottage is the perfect spot for your vacation get away and a delightful base for exploring the Oregon Coast. We provide a small library of specially selected books on a variety of local topics, including history of the area, geology and flora and fauna. The cottage is also equipped with board games and jigsaw puzzles for your enjoyment.
Your hosts live on site next door, and would be delighted to help in any way possible to make your stay a memorable one. If you desire an amenity or service not listed, please ask anyway. In many cases you can be accommodated.

• Complimentary tea and coffee
• Dog friendly; dog towels provided
• Wi-Fi access

---to a very comfortable 2-4 person accommodation, just six miles south of Yachats and close to the entire mid-coastal Oregon Coast. Easy to recommend and can add a complimentary review of our food and treatment at Ona and Drift Inn in town. And don't miss the many options in the Siuslaw forest or just wander the beach at low tide.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique one of a kind place. It was warm and inviting, we enjoyed sitting in the living room reading and listening to the waves crash on the beach. I hope that we can come back for a visit to the coast, three days was just not enough time. If you like to be in a quite place, free to cook meals or just walk on the beach without a lot of people this is the spot. Thanks to Victoria and Paul for sharing her piece of heaven on the coast. We want to come back for a longer stay!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

I have stayed here many times. Paul and Victoria are wonderful hosts. The cottage is artistically appointed with amazing collections and is incredibly clean. Plan to only have one cook in the kitchen at a time and only one person in the bathroom at a time. Those are kinda tight spaces! The gardens provide great exploration and the ocean is a very short walk away. I have never been disappointed with this beautiful cottage. Enjoy!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Our hosts were friendly, but not snoopy. We absolutely loved the quiet, watching the birds, breakfast on the porch, lovely trot out to the beach, comfy bed, efficient kitchen... I could go on! I have such yard envy and was even inspired to put up my own birdcage/feeder... Thanks ever so much and highly recommend!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Of a month long road trip through Oregon and Washington, this was in our top three of many VRBO stays. FUNky furnishings, lovely antiques mixed with lots of whimsey. Great mid-coast location, good bed and shower (essential), I kept wishing I had my 7 year old GD with us to discover all the hidden treasures on the property. Our dog was is beach heaven, as were we.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

If you have the chance, and are looking for a quiet getaway out of the norm, then please stay in this cozy cottage. The owners really went out of their way to create a fun and welcoming environment for both the humans and the dogs in our little family. This cottage will give you easy access to the sweet town of Yachats and the awesome coastal beauty of Cape Perpetua. You will not be disappointed with this quiet retreat in the woods, and be sure to expect the best night of sleep anywhere on the Oregon Coast. Thank you, Paul and Victoria, for opening your home to us! We will remember you always.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

I love the area around Yachats, and my friend and I decided to check out this cottage based on the kooky interior decor pictures. It looked comfortable and fun to hang out in, and it was! It's a short walk to the beach, but even better was the serene creekside spot behind the cabin -- a rushing river with a variety of ceramic wildlife, a bigfoot statue, tall trees and squawking birds around. It's close to Cape Perpetua (which is a great place to hike), in between Florence and the dunes and Newport. We explored all over, but our favorite sites were Devil's Churn, the dunes in a hailstorm, and the roiling winter sea from all over Yachats. The place is clean and homey, the owners are totally unobtrusive, and when you're done exploring, you can drink wine and watch a million channels of direct TV in front of a gas fireplace! We loved it and will return.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Had a great time, the house is really sweet and the wall decorations never get boring, the chairs in the living room were nice but a little bit more overstuffed comfort would work. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was small, but very functionable. Would love to see the garden in the summer, I bet it is beautiful. The path to the beach is great, just had a knee replacement in July and had no problem, as long as I used the walking sticks that were provided. Found some beautiful agates. All in all a wonderful weekend.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We visited this cozy little cottage with our two small children (3 & 6) and our dog. It was just the quiet getaway we needed to cap off a very busy summer. My oldest loved exploring in the woods and we all loved roaming the almost deserted beach. The beds were comfy and we really enjoyed having dinner every evening in the gorgeous garden that Paul and Victoria tend. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming and it was such a treat to be able to bring our favorite furry friend on vacation with us. We can't wait to visit again.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This was our fourth trip to Camp Yachats. It truly is a little piece of heaven carved into the Oregon Coast. This cottage is actually in the forest! It is very well maintained, eco friendly to the max and the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials needed to cook, blend, make coffee, toast, & microwave. Soaps and lotions are provided and are such a gift when staying here because they are made onsite with the herbs that grow in the garden. They are all natural and contain no chemicals whatsoever. We don't even bring our own soap anymore because the soap provided is so nice. Hosts: Paul & Victoria are so nice and approachable. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the coast. Dining: Luna Sea is a great place for seafood and the Drift Inn is amazing. They cater to people with dietary restrictions. Vegan? YES!!!!! Great Service as well. The private access to the beach and the practically private beach are a HUGE PLUS. We are able to let our dog who is very timid run free here. A true getaway for the family including the dog!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
