Wonderful! We stayed here for our anniversary in May 2012 and decided we needed to go back. Here we are again in April 2013! We flew non-stop Seattle - Kona and began relaxing as soon as we stepped off the plane. The air is warm and moist, but not too humid. The car rental and 30-minute drive to Waikoloa Village is perfect. The Kona side of the Big Island is barren and dry with the lava fields, but we felt right at home, being from Alaska with its tundra. The condo is relaxing from the moment you walk in. The property manager had the front door open with ceiling fans on and keys on the kitchen counter. We truly felt we were returning to…our home-away-from-home. Day 1: Hapuna beach, voted one of the best beaches in the US (It is the best all around beach for this condo: drive time, parking, crowds, clear water, fine sand, boogey boarding, etc.) Day 2: Mauna Kea Resort Hotel beach, least crowded (parking for non-guests is restricted to 40 spaces). Day 3: Kua Bay beach, clearest water and finest sand, not too crowded, depending on day of week. We never made it to Makalawena Beach, a remote beach with a required hike. Something to do next time! The condo is great for golf; we don’t, but enjoyed the lanai which overlooks the golf course and Pacific Ocean. We slept with the doors and windows open with the birds, turkeys, and frogs chirping throughout the night. Coffee on the lanai with the local newspaper was a favorite activity. We spent 14 days here, and it felt like a home! Night out: Huggo’s on the Rocks, Kailua-Kona; Lava-Lava Beach Club, Waikoloa Resort; Best dinner: Plantation Grill, Kawaihae;Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thank-you for letting us rent your condo! It was so quiet and the view from the deck was so calming and peaceful. Loved the three gecko's living in the wet bar!! The condo is perfect for one couple and even more so for two!! Big place and is much nicer than the pics!! HUGE deck. We loved it.
