Welcome to a private world of colorful landscapes, free form fountains, mosaic floors and countertops, sculptured stucco and sunken patios -- all illumined at night with soft hues of amber, red, green and white. We invite you to read our guest comments.

Four unique fountains bring to the atmosphere a tranquility and life of gentle water movements. More than a dozen patios are scattered across the landscape. Sitting niches are limited only by your imagination. Every day offers the experience of change to your enjoyment of open-air meals, socializing, contemplation or the pleasure of relaxing. Whether colored by days filled with sun, or the shades of a tropical rain and the roof-top cascades it brings, our guests find every day a refreshing haven within the world we call "A Sojourner's Garden."

While relaxing in the Master Suite king size bed, one can gaze through the wall-filled picture window toward the east, past a foreground of leafy banana plants, orange-crowned heliconias and lush ground ferns, into the multiple cascades of The Grotto Fountain, its rock formations rising up into the floral colors and verdant green from which the waters flow as though coming down from a tropical mountain peak. Through the north-facing double French doors, beyond the carved out wooden deck, a miniature-like landscape rises upon rock and tiled steps into a seemingly distant and shaded sitting area, tucked away in the private garden's northwest corner.

A fable-like brick path meanders away and out of the Master Suite privacy into a patio area overlooking the rear garden, its height raised by a tawny brick wall under the reaching limbs of an old avocado tree. The suite's interior is an ambiance of sculptured SnowDrift; mirrored closets; cool-white terrazzo floor surrounds the bed; satillo tile formations enliven the open bath; hand-crafted shelves wing out behind dual pedestal sinks; and a cave-like shower can be enjoyed as though standing amidst the garden and cascades of The Grotto Fountain.

The Middle Suite, the smallest of three bedrooms, provides rest upon a queen size bed, and private relaxation upon its satillo tile patio, intimately shaded with purple floral vine. As in all suites, potted plants bring the calm of garden within, and by night, the mini-haven which it is, can be softly illumined by several landscape lights controlled by the desires of its guest.

The South Suite, with rising ceiling toward that direction and high windows on that wall, lower windows on the west and double French doors leading into its private eastward garden, this suite is the brightest of them all. Plantation blinds offer its guest control over the entrance of sunlight, already much tempered by the umbrella of our master bougainvillea, its network of grainy limbs and purple and green colors stretching some 50 feet before rising into the sky, a floral cloud to all who pass outside our gates.

From the comfort of a king size bed, every turn of your head leads your eyes to garden beauty: reflections in the mirrored closet doors; through the southward upper windows; or beyond the French doors and into the garden, where fronds of a Chinese fan palm wave its calm inward as it stands casually in the shade, and the might of two hand-crafted columns declare this is an area secluded to itself.

"A Sojourner's Garden" is also available for private, intimate gatherings of any sort, such as Weddings; Birthdays; Anniversaries; Dinner Parties; Business Meetings; Fund Raisers. Special Usage Rates are specific to the event, beginning at $725.

All rentals are subject to tax, cleaning fee and refundable security deposit.
