John and Gail Steel chose Surfsong and Solana Beach for our retirement years because we fell in love at first sight with the area and the lifestyle. Originally from Minnesota, we were looking for a vibrant, active community with an agreeable year-round climate. Having always lived on water, we were drawn to the Pacific and never tire of looking west.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this well maintained condo. It is well stocked with everything you need from kitchen items to boogie boards. The views are spectacular with sunsets, the ocean, dolphins and surfers. It was quiet and comfortable. Easy walking distance to restaurants, the beach and CVS pharmacy.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

John met us when we pulled in by saying "Welcome to paradise." He wasn't kidding. I can't imagine a better place to spend a week. It has everything you could want--huge ocean views right out your very large window, a patio with a grill, the beach is about 3 minutes away (a beautiful walk --and the condo is right up to the cliffs, nothing between you and the ocean but air, the walk is just to get to a place where you can get down to the beach) and John and Gail were very helpful. It's beautifully decorated (although we put a lot of the stuff away so our 3 and 5 year-olds wouldn't break anything. We spent most of our time on the beach; boogie boarding (they provided them), collecting shells, and playing in the surf. The kids wetsuits John and Gail provided made our stay so much more fun. They even sent us home with pictures of our family playing on the beach. It worked really well for our family of 4, but it would also be ideal for a couple. Really, you can't beat this place. Thanks so much John and Gail!

Condo was awesome. Had all the amenities you could ask for. I would recommend to anyone. Property is very well maintained and has terrific views! Owners were very helpful and Freindly. Everything you need is within walking distance. Only thing missing was the sun :)
