Why the Owner Chose Highlands
My wife and I grew up in the south Alabama, but we always loved the mountains. Ever since we first went to the mountains of North Carolina we found Highlands and have been going back to vacation as often as we can. As our family grew, we found Highlands to be the perfect place to take the kids. They couldn't get enough of the area. They were just amazed the first time we took them hiking - they said, "Cool, you know the mountains aren't bad at all!" There was no question, we had to invest in our own "Highlands house."
