Upon arrival, no ice was available in freezer and ice drawer in freezer did not work properly. We immediately had to go buy 5 bags of ice. There are so many switches w/o labels, can be confusing what cuts on what. Would be nice if they were labeled. Need television instructions on remotes. Need tv in kitchen. Would be great to update crockpot! Short in fireplace remote on screened in porch. If there was a refrigerator downstairs, we did not find it - would be nice to have one there instead of having to go back upstairs for cold things. With this spectacular view, you might consider having a hot tub outside and charge for its use. Everything else was wonderful and we would certainly go again.

Owner response: Thanks for the feedback. It is very much appreciated. We have had a technician look at the Sub Zero refrigerator's ice maker. Parts are ordered. I am sorry you went to buy ice. There is a dedicated ice maker in the bar that makes 10 pounds of ice an hour. Also a beverage refrigerator is in the bar downstairs It is only countertop height and has a dark glass front. You may have thought it was a wine chiller but it's a fridge! We will add that to our notes to guests so other guests don't miss it. We will add a TV in the kitchen and a new crock pot in January. Good ideas. I completely understand about all the light switches. I have owned this home for 4 years and still can't figure everything out. Labels are a wonderful idea. Great project for a cold afternoon in January. The deck is built for a hot tub and we have run the power to it. We may consider adding one of these in the near future. We really appreciate the feedback and suggestions. This helps us make a better property for future guests and is a tremendous help. Thanks for staying with us. We look forward to your return visit. We really enjoyed our time at the house. The leaves were perfect and the weather outstanding. A little more attention to detail would be great, as we ran out of toilet paper in less than 24 hours and the wireless did not work our entire trip although the owner did offer to drive over 4 hours to try and fix. Greatly appreciated. All in all though it was a really great place with outstanding views.

This home is absolutely beautiful, when we pulled up to the house the pictures gave you and idea, but nothing could prepare you for what was there. From the time we walked in everyone was in total amazement. Tripp was so sweet and I enjoyed staying there! The bedroom were so cozy and comfortable.

Perfect in every way!!
Perfect in every way!!
We had 7 adults in our party, children and siblings. What a gorgeous home in an outstanding setting! Every detail was perfect, very comfortable furniture, exceeding well-furnished kitchen. Several of the guests are expeienced cooks and we had some fabulous meals. Had some rain but didn't dampen anyone's spirits. With the gas fireplace on the screened porch you could be out of the rain but enjoy the outdoors. Lots of birds, including wild turkeys and pheasant. We made some side trips to Cherokee, Highlands and Cashiers. Saw some beautiful waterfalls. The house is so spacious that you could be off by yourself to read or have a good conversation without everyone being on top of each other. I guess I can't convey with words how wonderful our vacation was and we definitely will be back

Owner response: We are very pleased that you had a great stay. Thank you for sending us the pictures of the Kitchen, I will post them to VRBO so future renters can see them. Please come back soon!
We along with a few close friends had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home on Memorial Day weekend. This was an anniversary celebration/couples retreat with 4 other couples and a few other close friends. I must agree with others that the pictures of this property do not clearly reflect the charm and attention to detail contained in this home. I absolutely loved everything about it and how tastefully it is decorated. My guest teased me that I spent too much time in the kitchen. I enjoy cooking, and the layout of the kitchen, the beautiful spacious counters, gas burning stove with griddle and sub-zero refrigerator/freezer took me to my "happy place!" The bed in the master suite is pure HEAVEN and the home is so peaceful at night. The home is well kept and maintained and allows space for private chats on the screen-covered porch with fireplace, as well as enough room that you never feel crowded. The porch with it's fireplace, seemed to be a favorite with the women, while the pool table/recreation room with comfortable leather furniture, TV and bar area was more popular with the men. We were all able to enjoy meals in the spacious kitchen area where the laughter and fun never allowed for a dull moment. This home is clean, the grounds well kept and the neighbors were very friendly. We made use of the the large grill on the deck, as well as the recreation room and bar area for most of our stay. The weather was a bit cool, so we did not have an opportunity to enjoy the deck as much as we would have I'm sure. The trip down hill to the local store was 10 minutes away and provided for last minute needs. The owner was always responsive whether via email or phone call. We truly enjoyed our stay and intend to visit again. We recommend this for a perfect family or couples retreat.

A Magical Serene Place
A Magical Serene Place
The photos truly do not do it justice. Incredible home, incredible fireplace, incredible views, every single thing about this home is incredible. The attention to detail in this home is amazing. The beautiful meadow across the street made for awesome wedding photos. We actually got married on the back deck. Every single one of my guests STILL talk about what an awesome time they had in that house. We want to visit again for our one year anniversary. Nice waves from neighbors every time we drove down the 2 mile road to the main road. And the scenery on that drive was gorgeous as well. Great for reunions. You will NOT be disappointed.

What a wonderful stay at this lovely home! It was better than the description. You honestly feel like you are the only people on earth and you are staying in a mansion. We could not have asked for anything else. The owner was very helpful to us. We visited lots of waterfalls and many went white water rafting a little over an hour away. The shopping in Highlands was enjoyed by many. There is lots of antiquing in Dillard and we had great sandwiches at Java Mama's. The Creamery in Dillard had excellent icecream and homemade dairy products. There is a great Farmers Market on the Dillard side on the main Highway, sorry I can't be more helpful. We brought our Wi. We did not use the video game machine there. The pool table and foosball were well used. The decks make lovely areas for reading books and enjoying the beauty of the mountains. We heard an owl at night and many birds. Never saw a bear, but did see deer on the private road once. Remember bug spray when walking in the woods, but definitely go walking...we picked blackberries and made a great cobbler. Every utensil imaginable was available in the huge kitchen. We took advantage of paper plates and disposable cups, but there would have been enough of their dishes. We used the whole house intercom system to play CD's throughout the home. We used the screened porch fireplace in July for smores! I would recommend this property to anyone that does not need to be constantly busy. You can spread out and have your own mini vacation. We had 10 people with us and with permission of the owner I believe air mattress could accomodate many more. The master bath is huge and luxurious. I could not make the whirlpool work in the tub, but I feel like I did not know the right combination. If you are concerned about the price, just check out the price to stay at The Hampton Inn and figure out how much you will save by cooking some meals yourself etc. This by far is a much better choice for families.
