My first visit was this past weekend, but it won't be my last! What a lovely place - the kitchen had everything needed (we cooked each meal), the rooms were nicely furnished, the proximity to the river was a very short, easy walk ....... great place to take a family ...... very comfortable and relaxing. I would highly recommend this place!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Stayed here for a week while attending a wedding in Discovery Bay. Lots of room and beds were comfy. The kids loved the firepit by the river and the setting was great. Definately not for the infirm as it is 3 stories. Plenty of beds and more living rooms then you could every use. Did allow us to spend some time without kids as they could go to the TV room and watch movies while the adults did other things.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I'm glad the house worked out so well for your family! Come back any time. And thanks for taking the time to write a review. Sandy

I am writing this for several couples. We had a very quiet, secluded stay with the low sound of a nearby river that was tremendous. The place was very neat and equiped for any of our needs. There were several occasions we saw deer wandering on or near the property. We would recommend the house to anyone wanting quiet and a private stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: I'm glad you enjoyed the peace and quiet!

The house is very large and is fully equipped with pretty much all you need for a comfortable stay. The creek nearby and trails add to the things you can do while on your vacation. The price is super cheap and there is definitely nothing in that price range and quality any where near that makes it the best option for what you pay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for letting people know what a bargain our vacation house is! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will clarify one thing: We do not permit pets at this rental.

We spent 4 days at this home just outside of Quilcene. The home was as advertised, very comfortable, very clean. Our group consisted of 3 adults and four teenagers. With two boys in one room and two girls sharing another, we had bedrooms for all. The table in the dining area was large enough to seat all for meals and games. The owners are great people and easy to work with; you will enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

We used the vacation home as a base for family and friends during our son's wedding. Because of the remote location of the wedding, housing was tough to find and this vacation home provided just what we needed because of the many rooms and convenient layout. We appreciated the cleanliness of the property and many convenience provided. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions. We only wish we hadn't been so busy during the week we visited because we would have enjoyed spending more time exploring the beautiful area around the home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.

My siblings and I (8 of us) had to travel to the area for a family gathering. This turned out to be the perfect location and setting. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own room and lots of space to hang out as a family. The kitchen had everything we needed to make the many dinners and breakfasts that we needed to. The home was clean and well equiped. It is located in a beautiful scenic area. We would definitly use this location again.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go again! We were thoroughly pleased with everything; wish we could have stayed longer. :D We should have gone with more than 5 people since there was definitely plenty of room. The listing description was more than accurate - all the comforts of home and then some. The photos don't do the place enough justice. The rooms were so nicely furnished, even the bathrooms were at once elegant, cute and quaint. The owner was so very helpful in answering all questions and concerns, which I truly appreciated. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit the Olympic National Park area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: I'm so glad you had a good time at Qulcene, and we'd love to have you back! Based on your comments, I will try to get some better photos. Thanks! Sandy

The Unique Benefits at this House:
From the Owner: The beauty of the Olympic Peninsula reminds us of our times in Alaska. We love to see the deer walking through the yard almost every time we visit. We've used the 'cabin', as we call it, for parties, holiday gatherings, quiet retreat times, and just for weekend getaways. The peace and quiet is wonderful!
