Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2004

We left Alaska in 1988, and often wished for a cabin like we had there. Our house on the Little Quil River has been the perfect family getaway, and a great gathering place for holiday weekends.

Why the Owner Chose Quilcene

We wanted a vacation house close enough for us to reach it easily for one-night stays, and large enough for some extended family gatherings. The woodland setting reminded us of Alaska, where I grew up, and there is plenty of room outside to enjoy nature.

The Unique Benefits of this House

We love to see the deer walking through the yard almost every time we visit. We've used the 'cabin', as we call it, for parties, holiday gatherings, quiet retreat times, and just for weekend getaways. The peace and quiet is wonderful!
