A beautiful comfortable house on the outskirts of Clifden Town, Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. Failte Ireland have given Joyce's Waterloo House a 4* Grading, their top grading for self catering properties. The house is checked yearly to ensure its standards are maintained.
Joyce's Waterloo House lies on an elevated site overlooking a heavily wooded river valley on main road (N59) leading into Clifden Town, with the Town centre just a 12 minute walk away, the House has a wonderful “Town meets Country” setting. It is in the perfect location for lazy strolls into town after a days touring to eat out and enjoy the Irish Music in the local pubs.
A spate Salmon river runs directly across from the House, a beautiful wild Trout lake just a 12 minute walk away. Foothills directly behind house lead onward to Twelve Ben Mountain range and yet, only a 10 minute drive to Connemaras beautiful white sandy beaches and areas of scenic beauty.
Large comfortable sitting room seats 18 comfortably. Satellite TV, dvd player, small library, walking books and maps. Dining room seats 22 restaurant style at one large table and is very well equipped with all your dining requirements. The large kitchen has 2 x gas cookers, 2 x dishwashers, american style fridge freezer and is very well stocked with utensils for the cook in the group!
Bedrooms: 10 bedrooms, 9 fully en-suite (bathrooms), all with TVs, DVD/CD Players. Sleeps 22 comfortably. Upstairs front facing bedrooms all have balcony, sofa in bay window, 6` King bed, en-suite with shower. Other bedrooms have 5` queen beds with memory foam mattress for ultimate comfort. Shopping in Area: Aldi and Lidl grocery stores just a 6 minute walk, Supervalu grocery store in Town centre, excellent pubs and restaurants for dining out and listening to traditional Irish Music.

Connemara is a region in the West of Ireland renowned for its scenic beauty, it is a mecca for painters, photographers, hill walkers, ramblers and writers.
Locally, places of interest are the Connemara National Park, Killary Fjord at Leenane, the Alcock and Brown 1st transatlantic landing site, the site of the Marconi Radio Station where Guglielmo Marconi sent the 1st transatlantic radio massages to St. Johns, Newfoundland.
