First, the sunsets really are as good as the website indicates, and you won't be disapointed in the rest of your day either. We (family of four, kids age 10+12) visited in April. I was impressed by delaporte point - the units all appear to be in great condition, certianly not full, but more occupied and cozier feeling than other developments we saw. We almost always had the pool to ourselves. Both pools are great - very clean (no debris on the bottom), great setup on the pooldeck for lounging around, including comfortable, sturdy, plastic chairs. The second pool has a new rubberized pool deck, which is very comfortable to walk on and looks great. This unit is very clean, well furnished, with a great layout. the kids shared the large 3rd floor room, we had the master, both have great water views. the beds are in good condition, very comfortable. Rental kitchens can be tricky - this one was well equipped for pots/pans/utensils/glasses, as well as a good quality 4 burner stove, large fridge, microwave. the layout is very convenient with a pass-through bar that made it easy to cook un-interupted, and lay stuff out on the counter for the kids to take out. we ate most meals on the porch with a spectacular water view. I wish the kitchen had some basic supplies like trashbags, paper towels, spices, cooking oil, as it is hard to pick those up in very small amounts. snorkeling around delaporte point is excellent, when the weather is calm. If the wind is up, it can get quite rough along this stretech, but once it smoothed out I found some of the best beach-accessed snorkeling of the trip, with interesting coral, small and large (and really large) fish. We did not rent a car, and had no problem getting around by bus, though all our excursions were during the day. There is a large grocery within walking distance, and the bag boys will cart your stuff home for a small tip. The bus was great for day excursions to Love Beach, Paradise Island, Shareaton/Wyndham for their big pool. Stuart cove picked us up for a snorkel and scuba excursion (highly recomend them). Jefferson was very helpful as we planned our trip, providing good information and recomendations on a range of topics. We found everything to be as he described. If you are planning a trip for sun and sand, I highly recomend Sunset Paradise. Also recomend: Nirvanna (Love Beach), Stuart Cove's dive or snorkel, Traveler's Rest, and the little bar at the end of SandyPort.

What a trip!!! The property was everything we hoped for. It was very clean, the view was awesome, and the snorkeling was excellent. This was a family trip with our three grown children so there was basicly 5 adults in the house. There was plenty of room for everyone did not feel crowded at all. It was a very comfortable setting at both the pool and beach areas associated with the property. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the Bahamas.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at Sunset Paradise. The views were incredible, right on the ocean it felt like we were on a boat. All rooms had an unobstructed views of nothing but ocean WOW! The condo was well equiped and very clean. It was easy to get into Nassau on the jitney bus with all the family in tow. Sometimes we walked to the restaurants on the beach nearby but dinner at home on the patio was the best! The condo has 3 levels and is decorated in a lovely beach house style. Being in a gated community felt very secure and the front gate people were friendly and helpful with info about local places to go, like arawak key for a really fun experience. My family already are planning our return trip!

The first thing we noticed after a 9 hour flight was thae lack of supplies, dish soap, coffee, spices, hand soap etc. I guess we should have packed but did not want to pay the over weight fee by the airline. The place and complex is nice but is definitely run down, especially the place next door and the pools. The patio area is very nice and having a coffee or glass of wine, you cannot access the water from the patio, very rocky etc. As mentioned there are 2 pools and a small beach area, all very poorly maintained. The 1 pool with beach area is approximately 100 meters away, and very nice to swim, water is great. Could not snorkel as it was too rough. Nassau as an island is very dirty with lots of broken bottles and garbage around. It is very expensive nothing cheap even when you buy groceries, they may not have any taxes but they make up with their excise tax. Eating out is very expensive, the 2 restuarants in the are (very close) are expensive, expect minimum $100 plus tip for 2 and nothing fancy. The pizza at the one place (not poop deck) was very good. Nice to have internet at place, bonus. Main bed good upper floor needs to be replaced, as with stove and something bigger than a 12 inch TV would be nice. Walking to stores and around the area not the safest, no side walks and a lot broken glass. Bus right outside of complex, good value and easy to use. Taxis also good and generally good value. Max $20 from airport with tip. Downtown nassau waste of time, the market has noting but chinese made trinkets and main downtown nothing special but lots of jewelery store, expensive. Happy I went but found Nassau to be very expensive. Water is nice weather great but not worth the expense. Hate to be a family of 4. Did go to Atlantis but real, expensive again. still waiting on damage deposit, have emailed but received no answer been 1 week 2 days, must be Jamaica time. Would not go back as not good value for money

Sunset Paradise was a great experience! Easy to rent easy to check in, and out, one of the best vacation rental experiences we ever had. And we've done a lot. (I'm the moderator of the Yahoo Vacation Rental Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vacation_rentals/ ) Delaporte is perfectly situated on New Providence, far enough out of town to be quiet and laid back, but close enough for an easy, quick jitney ride into town. There are great beaches within walking distance to the west and east, and snorkeling right from the patio. The townhouse itself was really comfortable with everything you need. We really appreciated the high-speed internet. And the layout was great. My only complaint (?!) was that the waves crashing against the shore were kind of loud in the master suite, sometimes I had to close the window a bit. Yeah, I know, pretty rough... I also liked the grass carpeting that was on the stairwell. I don't know, I guess it's just something you have to experience to understand. All in all a fantastic place to stay, and a real value, too. People pay 3 times as much to stay in the hotels on Paradise Island and on Cable Beach and they get half the experience. Thumbs up, big time!

Fabulous location and fabulous people!! Before our holiday Maya and Jeff sent us really useful information on where to eat, how much the buses were and what to do and where to go which was invaluable and made us feel so welcome. The property was well maintained with so much room - there was everthing we need. If we had any issues Jeff told us to contact him and even gave us a call upon arrival to welcome us The views and the sunsets were amazing - the sea being crystal clear. The location is brilliant and everything you need is either in walking distance or a short bus ride away. Everyone we met were really friendly and helpful trying to make our stay enjoyable, - we commented many times we wish we had the same service at home!! The boat trip around the island is well worth it and the excellent shopping in Nassau. Thanks to you both for an amazing holiday and sharing your wonderful home xx

My wife, two adult children, and I had a fabulous time at this 3 bedroom villa in Nassau. The views were spectacular, with the lagoon no more than 40 feet outside the back door. The unit was very clean and very comfortable, which included wi-fi which made it easy to access the internet and make long distance calls on skype, The other beach was just a stones throw from our door, and just beautiful. The villa owners, Jeff and Mayah, were terrific in having provided us with detailed information in advance about the unit, getting around, local restaurants, and places to visit. We really enjoyed our visit to Paradise Island, the Marina, and the many shops. Food shopping was easy and just a quick bus ride from our villa. The weather was also good, with lots of sun. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Paradise. The property was clean and well maintained. We appreciated that the community was gated and well secured. We enjoyed drinking coffee and observing the scenic ocean view from the deck every morning. It was a great central location for us; the halfway point between the bahamaian fish fry/shopping/Atlantis area and scuba diving. We ended up renting a car, which gave us the flexibility to be active, all within a 10-15 minute drive. The fitness center just down the street was great and the gourmet deli and chinese restaurant at the Caves village were also great. We enjoyed our stay!

Since this was our first vacation to the Caribbean, we didn't know what to expect. Was it as beautiful as everyone says, is the water really blue? We got more than we could ever imagine. We spent many hours outside on the balcony each day. The house was spacious for our big group, and we loved it very much. The pools were clean, and the people on the island were the nicest people we've ever met. Everyone, including the security gaurds in the community would wave to you. We had the best week. We visited Atlantis twice, went snorkeling, dolphins, parasailing and many more activities. Joe, the taxi driver, was a very polite, honest man. Thank you very much for sharing your home. Bahamas was the vacation we all needed and dreamed of. The kids and the adults had the best time! Everything on the whole island, including the house, was amazing!!!

Delaporte Point, the property where Sunset Paradise exists, is well cared for. The folks at the gate were great! They helped us crack coconuts which made the trip memorable. The water system has a 'tendency" to break down unexpectedly which happened once while we stayed during our 5 nights and once with notice by maintenance. Plan for water shortages. The condo itself could use some upkeep. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom did not work. The shower door did not stay closed. The place really needs a good cleaning. Walls and light switch plates have fingerprints all over them. We were disappointed that we had to spend time cleaning on our limited vacation in order to feel comfortable. Bring or buy paper towel. There was none when we arrived. There was 1/2 roll of T.P. per bathroom. But it also. Plan on washing your dishes before you eat with them the first time. The silverware drawer was very, very dirty. The condo is large with no sleeping space on the main floor. We cooked most meals there and the fridge/freezer was nice. Ample dishware/utensils too. The pool and beach were smaller than the pictures demonstrate. This is not a place for long walks on the beach. At the deck, a person with disabilities would have trouble getting to the ocean. The jitney prices are $1.50 per person each way. Catching one was easy and the bus driver gave us a great tip on a sea food restaurant in the city (The Fish Fry) and super Bahama Mamas and Rum Punch! The water was cold and choppy during most of our stay and we couldn't safely enter the water off the patio so our snorkeling was just average. Dove with Stuarts Cove...crowded boats and dives where very rushed. Deleporte Point is a residential community so during the day you sort of have the place to yourself while folks are at work. This is great if your looking for a quiet safe, place to relax. We stayed during our kids spring break and never met other vacationers. This was fine for our family since we were not looking for a "party place" or luxury resort atmosphere. There was not a lot to do for teenagers, but ours were happy relaxing. Look for excursions elsewhere if you want to keep busy and a car would be greatly beneficial. Jefferson provided good customer service. We would rent from him again, particularly if we knew the condo got a "spring cleaning."

Thank you Mayha and Jeff for helping us with every detail in booking your vacation home and giving us all of the helpful information on what resteraunts to try and what we should see while we were in the bahamas. We had a great vacation the 2 weeks we were there and we enjoyed all the space in your townhouse especially having the 3 floors so we all had our own privacy. We found there was everything we needed there to make our stay very comfortable. We had every meal out on the patio as the view is absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed seeing the yachts and sailboats going by off in the distance. The 2 pools are very nice and clean and there are ample lounge chairs for everyone. The location of your townhouse was perfect as it was within walking distance to lots of resteraunts and shopping and it was on the main street which made it easy for catching the jitney to town. The staff working at the security gate of your complex were very helpful and always had a smile and wave for us. We enjoyed going into town and looking around the straw market and the shops as we found the people in the Bahamas so friendly. We took the water taxi over to the Atlantis which is amazing and Cabbage beach close by to there is by far our favorite beach. We went out on a snorkeling tour and we also went on the Power boat adventure which is so worth the money as it is a full day of fun and adventures! There is just so much to do and see in the Bahamas and our time there went by way to fast. We hope to return there one day soon and stay at your charming home again!

You can't beat the patio and the bedroom with the ocean view. We had quite a few meals here and the kids enjoyed playing Atlantisopoly. We walked everywhere and returned home by jitney. Very relaxing and quiet after a busy day in Nassau. The kids had a chance to spread out and take a break from each other. Great for a family with kids. Felt right at home.

We vacationed here a week in September (20-27) This property is well taken care of. The pictures here do not do it justice. A group of 4 of us stayed for the week. The weather was perfect - the view was breath taking. The condo is spacious. The sound from the ocean from the upstairs bedrooms was so relaxing. Groceries and restaurants are in short walking distance or you can take the jitney anywhere on the island. My friend's husband took advantage of snorkeling in the back of the property. She bought him a new underwater camera for Christmas and the pictures are amazing. If you are interested in seeing my pictures - please contact the owners and I will give them a link to pass on since I cannot post it here. We met a fantastic cab driver by the name of Joe. We posted his phone number in the guest book that we signed. He's a great guy - the perfect tour guide. Jeffro and Mayah are wonderful hosts. I hope to visit their property in Guatemala some day!

The property is well cared for and the layout of the condo was pretty neat as it had 3 floors. We were six - 4 kids over 21 and never felt cramped. The view from the porch is right on the ocean and we ate many memorable meals out there. The kitchen was adequate and refrigerator large, so many of our meals were eaten at home. There are two pools with different personalities that were both enjoyable. As for Nassau, every person we met was great. Everyone was polite and we took Jitney's the first 3 days and rented a car the last 4 days. Renting a car is recommended for evening transport to go to casino's if you like to go out at night. Our best prescription was having a great dinner at home, then going out about 9pm when the action gets going. I would absolutely use this property again if visiting Nassau. Thanks Mayah and Jeffro!

We found sunset Paradise everything that Jeff has said it would be. The rooms overlook the crystal clear waters and the walk to the swimming beach was very short. We had the beach almost to ourselves. There were never more than 6 other people there. The town house is comfortable, clean, well-maintained and away from the bustling tourist areas, but close enough to make sightseeing convenient. Jeff was very accommodating, reassuring my wife on every question she had prior to our arrival. We found the food good at both of the nearby restaurants.

My husband and I planned a rather last minute trip with two other friends to get married in the Bahamas. We were looking for a place that was quiet, low key and away from the more touristy parts of the island but still accessible if we needed to get there. Jeff and Mayah's place proved to be just that. We saved money on eating long leisurely breakfasts on the patio overlooking the water and then resumed our spot after long days at the local beaches (we recommend Love Beach) for home made dinners and to enjoy the sunset. We were married on the beach nearby and had a lovely dinner at the Beach Club Cafe right after, which we highly recommend. Jeff and Mayah were so accommodating and gracious with our crazy travel itineraries and were available at the drop of the hat if we needed anything. The experience was one we will never forget and we would definitely go back to the villa.

We stayed in this condo in a gated community in April 2008 and had a great time it was located just out of the busy parts of cable beach but right on the main road to everything. Restaurants, grocery and convenience stores are within walking distance. The picture shown from the deck is exactly what it is like and the views are spectacular at sunset. The sleeping arrangements were ideal as a large family with everyone having their own space for the 10 days we were there. Two pools a beach and good snorkeling on the other side of the point make entertaining teens easy. A car would be an asset in this location if you intend to do a lot of sight seeing but the buses and taxis are reliable.

Jeff was easy to deal with, handling of payment was professional and no hassle. Finding the complex, keys etc. was straighforward. The condo was basic, clean and roomy. We had our two teenagers with us and they enjoyed the loft. My wife and I enjoyed the bedroom with the sound of the ocean as you fall asleep. We did not need a car and easily hopped on the bus to go most places. Restaurant nearby was good. The balcony is nice, overlooking ocean and rocks. Never heard anybody nice and quiet. Pool in the complex overlooks the ocean. I'd recommend this condo to a family.

My family and I would recommend sunset paradise for anyone who wants peace and quiet but at the same time be near the action of Cable Beach and Nassau. It was nice to be able to swim on the perfect uncrowded beach and relax by the pools in this unique location. The restaurant on the beach next to the property was exellent one day and average the next. A good idea is walk to the supermarket and return by the jitney. The condo was very nice and beachy, clean and tidy and we especially loved that we were really right on the ocean! Overall a very positive rental, we hope to return one day!
