For gamers, we have a wonderful outdoor ping pong table (under roof) out by the pool so you can swim, barbeque and take in a little ping pong at the same time. We've also supplied you with an assortment of board games to play. 32" High Def Flat Screened TV & DVD in Living Room and additional TV in master. All the amenities, washer/dryer, beautiful handmade pottery throughout. Ralph Lauren, Laura Ashley, Claire Murray touches. Sorry but no smoking inside and ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED.
For boaters, Bow Channel is one mile by boat for easy access to the bay and Cudjoe Gardens Marina is less than half a mile away. Bahia Honda State Park Beach which was voted the number one beach in the United States, is a 20 minute drive to spend the day with a picnic and there are dozens of islands to explore by boat. Looe Key Marine Sanctuary, the most beautiful reef in the Keys, is nearby. The area is a trove of nature preserves by land and by sea, a birdwatcher's paradise and an explorer's dream. A truly tropical hideaway the way it used to be... the "real" Keys.
FOR DIVERS and FISHERMAN: The retired 523 foot WWII U.S. missile tracking ship Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg that once tracked space launches off Cape Canaveral, and also monitored Soviet missile launches during the Cold War, has been intentionally sunk off Key West in late May to become an artificial reef in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary AND IS OPEN TO FISHERMEN AND DIVERS.

We just got back from an awesome week at the Roost! We all had a wonderful time and were quite impressed on how well kept the home & grounds are. We took a few of your suggestions and went on a kayaking tour with Captain Marcus...what a great tour, well worth it! We also went on the sunset jetski tour...I never saw a sunset so beautiful! My oldest son went scuba diving with JB at Underseas, what a wonderful lady. My youngest went on his first fishing trip with Captain Bill, he was all smiles when he came ashore. We bought a few subs at Murray's, the meat & bread was so fresh. I also got some type of oreo dessert they sold in the deli case, it was to die for. I don't even want to think of the calories. I am already thinking of our next trip down to the Keys. Thanks again, Roberta McLean

We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay here. It’s an ideal spot for a Keys get-away -- located just about 20 miles north of Key West and close to the nature and beaches of Cudjoe Key, Big Pine Key and Bahia Honda Key. The house is nicely furnished and maintained with everything you’ll need to make your stay comfortable. It was spotless and easy to quickly make ourselves feel right at home. The location is private and nicely landscaped. The pool was nicely heated as promised -- a bonus for our January visit. We highly recommend Heron’s Roost for a fun and memorable Keys vacation.

This home and property are absolutely amazing. We just spent a long weekend at Herons Roost and had a wonderfiul relaxing time. The heated pool was the perfect temperature and we definetly took advantage of it. The house was immaculate, and very comfortable , especially with the deck off the back of the house, the view was amazing. The grounds were very well maintained and attractive. Linda the owner was extremely helpful and informative. We recommend this great vacation home to anyone looking for a private, relaxing vacation in the keys!! It would also be great for families, especially with the ping pong table and all of the pool toys.We will absolutley be looking to spend another vacation here.

I loved everything about Heron's Roost and Cudjoe Key. The fishing was great! I loved the heated pool and I really liked the house! The food at the Square Grouper was very good. We loverd everything about it here. We also had a great vacation away from home. Awesome place for camelians. (This was written by one of the kids.)

Every year our family takes a vacation so some new, exotic, peaceful, relaxing getaway. We picked a great spot here to spend our vacation. Our stay was more than relaxing. It was rejuvenating. Refreshing. The kids loved snorkeling and fishing off the dock. The adults loved resting in the hammock. And everyone loved swimming in the pool. There's nothing like the beauty of the keys and your property and house to make new memories in...to sum it up, we had a blast!!!

This property was well represented by the owner with no surprises. We enjoyed watching the crabs and iguanas in the yard. We did not consider them to be dangerous since we could not get very close to them.

We had a great time at the "Roost!" It was beautiful - spacious, relaxing, private, lovely pool, great view, amazing tropical landscaping. It was very clean, well-maintained, and is was more beautiful than the photos. The landscaping made us feel like we were in our own private tropical paradise! It is close enough to Key West; a favorite place for us to eat out and shop. The dock was a beautiful place to watch the sunset, and also watch fish and sea life in the water. The covered parking was also a plus. We want to return next year. We highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heron's Roost the first week of January 2011.The property was everything we hoped it would be. The setting was gorgeous. The pool was wonderful, warm and clean. The house was just the right size for the 5 of us. It was attractive and clean. AC worked great. Great entertaining and seating area outside. The location on Cudjoe Key was private, yet only 20 minutes to Key West. We were very happy.
