  This was the most amazing rental house I could have ever imagined. It had everything!!! It reminded me of something I would have seen on TV. My family and I didn't want to leave. We will definitely come back here!!!!

  This is an amazing property and worth every penny! From the view of the whales splashing off the coast to the peaceful haven of the pool and gardens this home offered unique details we've seldom experienced in a rental. Safely tucked away on a hill on the North Shore we had easy access to most any activity you could imagine as well as a peaceful getaway from the masses. A perfect combination of convenience and luxury!

  Family from New York and the UK spent a fabulous 8 nights at this property. It has everything you could ever want in a vacation rental and we were in awe of the grounds and the pool and spa area. My parents from the UK said it was the best vacation they had ever been on. Close to the shops and restaurants and North Shore is 5 minute drive.

  Don't be put off by the rating, It was worth the money as far as I was concerned and what you'd pay for this kind of accommodation with a resort, because this IS a resort and as a friend put it, a destination in itself. The photos were accurate and it's a spectacular place to stay. The photos do it justice, the grounds are immaculate and the huge windows offer a spectacular view. The furnishings and appointments are high end. I LOVED this place but there were a couple of issues which I found disappointing and I have no doubt that these will be taken care of and this will be a five star accommodation. The two issues which were probematic: 1) The refrigerator needs replacing. It didn't keep things cold enough... I don't want to have to put ice cubes in my milk and the gaskets on the fridge need replacing at the very least. That being said, when I mentioned it to Gary, the owner, he said another fridge is on the way. That being the case, we're up to four stars. 2) The lighting in the pool area. The only lighting comes from the pool house at this point. There are three lights in the pool and one in the hot tub which don't function. This was the greatest disappointment for me as we're out doing things through the day so the pool would be used at night. There were a couple of tiki torches by the hot tub which could make a difference.. but they had no tiki. There was no wick in one instance and no tiki can in the other. To be fair, Gary wasn't made aware of the lighting issue as it only came up on the last couple of nights of our stay and when the fridge issue was mentioned he said one was on order. On to the positives. This truly is resort living in a private home. We made use of the pool during the day and with the waterfall and hot tub? Wow. The location is perfect, centrally located to everything on the North Shore and I'd definitely rent again because it *is* so opulent and comfortable and roomy. Hey, I challenge you to find a resort in which you'd find a baby grand piano in your place for your use. It's a *beautiful* home and well worth the money. Ellen the caretaker was always available to address any concerns. Again, don't let the rating put you off as it was based purely on the points I mentioned and I have no doubt that they'll be addressed. Just ask prior to booking if you feel they may be an issue.

  My family and I just returned from our amazing 10-day vacation in Oahu, Hawaii! When we weren't busy touring Oahu and soaking up the sun on the North Shore beaches, we were relaxing in our very own luxury vacation home where the sunsets and sunrises were absolutely breathtaking. So glad we decided to rent this home on Pupukea Hill vs. a vacation rental on the beach. My boys can't stop talking about the awesome time they had adventuring through the 1-acre kid paradise (amazing swimming pool, hot tub, fruit orchard, tree house, and on and on), and we can’t stop talking about how relaxing it was to stay away from all the hustle and bustle of the beach rentals. This beautiful home truly made our amazing vacation even better!

  We spent a week here with my 70+ year old parents and our 3 teenage boys. Everybody loved it. The house is open, spacious, and well designed to catch the ocean breezes for plenty of fresh air. Very warm and comfortable furnishings with everything we needed. Close to Haleiwa and groceries just minutes away, yet completely quiet and serene setting. Big beautiful yard and pool is your own private oasis to relax, swim, and soak. Gary the owner was very gracious and flexible. We would come back in a heartbeat!

  My husband, children and their others spent Thanksgiving here. It was amazing. The ocean view in the morning is so beautiful. The pool area is like your own private resort. Even though the pool was a little too cold, the hot tub was amazing. We spent the evening dinning at the pool pavilion and relaxing in the hot tub. It is conveniently located to many beaches and the Foodland (has a Starbucks inside). Very private and quiet. Looking forward to coming back again and staying here. Thank you for sharing your loving home with us!

  Wow. This was the perfect retreat. Great views (we saw whales frolicking daily during our stay), huge yard beautifully landscaped, and the pool area was heaven. The house is beautifully appointed and comfortable. It is a 3-4 minute hop (by car) to the beach, supermarket and some incredible snorkeling, but up on the hill you're in a world of your own, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach. If you are looking for relaxation in beautiful surroundings, this is hard to beat. The kids loved the pool, waterfall and tree house. Best I've slept in years, can't wait to go back.
