Absolutely the cutest little cabin in the Smokies with easy access asphalt road
Location: Robbinsville, Smoky Mountains, North Carolina, USA (Near Deals Gap, Appalachian Trail, Whitewater, National park) View Map
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
Sweetwater is a little cabin with a new and easy access road. It's hidden away in the mountains, but you'll know your close when you pass the old blacksmith shop. It's on five private acres that back up against National Forest Service land, so you can take a great hike right on the property. Of course, the Appalachian Trail's just a couple minutes away. The cabin is secluded with not another place in sight...incredible! Enjoy rocking on the front porch, chilling out in the hammock, or telling stories at the fire pit. What a great place to come home to after a day of checking out the waterfalls, whitewater rafting, or just exploring!
Sweetwater is charming, and has a lot to offer. The master bedroom has a brand new king size orthopedic mattress...think "soothing." After a long hike, let yourself relax for a good night's sleep. Across the hall is another bedroom with twin beds for additional snoozing.
The kitchen is complete with everything you'll need. There's even a waffle iron! Appliances are new and supplies include pots, pans, dishes, linen, etc. Just bring a steak for the grill! It's all there for you...convenient.
There's a comfy great room area with television, VCR, stereo, and media. If there's a rainy day, you're all set for a movie, but you might just want to sit in the porch swing, listen to the rain, and bask in the beauty and solitude of the mountains. Your view is gorgeous. It's all there for you at Sweetwater cabin.

Map & Owner's Profile
Cute Little Cabin Secluded in the Smokies
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Robbinsville
Bill and Melanie picked Graham County because it's the best! There's not a ton of tourists but there is a ton of things to do. The fact that much of the county is national forest means that it will never be crowded. They love nature and this part of the Smokies is chock full of it.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Bill and Melanie love gardening and working on the property. They just put in a split rail fence and planted some plum trees. They love it when their grandkids come up. That's when things really pick up. They love to take the kids on hikes, out fishing, and just enjoying something that is not a video game or computer related.
Take tour of mountain artisans...pottery, painting, wood crafting, mountain cheese, etc.
eleven miles of curves on fun motorcycle and sports car drive
In under 20 minutes you can go turbing at deep creek or hike to three great waterfalls.
Owner's Map of Robbinsville
Bill and Melanie are a couple of Floridians who decided the mountains were the place to be. Bill's a nuclear/environmental engineer, and Melanie is a retired middle school teacher. They enjoy fishing on Lakes Fontana and Santeetlah or their own trout stream. They love every season in the mountains, but always get excited about the spring when they can do some gardening. They're both a couple of hikers, and enjoy a cooler climate than that of Florida.
