This was our first time spending Christmas away from home and we throughly enjoyed our time at South Lake Tahoe and this clean and beautifully decorated Chalet. There was nine of us (seven adults and two small children) and we fit perfectly. I loved the fact the TV was in the basement so we could spent time in the evenings playing great board games in the family room. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed. The owners were very nice and helpful getting us discount tickets in advance to the nearby slopes. Thank you so much for sharing your home away from home. We would love to come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Overall place would be nice but it is too close to the main highway US50 and noise is really noticeable. Make sure you don't leave anything in the house because you will give the reason to loose your deposit. We left few dishes and garbage can inside and after 1 month I received email from owners that they must keep half of the deposit because of that, beware. Details per email. Sorry but I'm no coming back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My entire family stayed here to celebrate my parent's 40th anniversary. It was a beautiful cabin, even was toddler friendly with a pack-n-play and booster seat! The kitchen was well stocked with the basics, and the house had games, DVDs, books, and magazines to use also. I've stayed at many VRBO properties, and this one was definitely the one of the homiest. We also enjoyed that the cabin was just steps from hiking and fishing! It was a great place for a family gathering!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a great time in the cabin, we where 2 families travelling from Miami and Colombia with 4 small children. House is in perfect condition, we loved breakfast on the deck, kids watching movies in the basement, walking around the woods, and we enjoyed going to Emerald Bay (A must) and rented bikes and went to a couple of beaches close by. Totally recommend for your stay at Tahoe.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

A totally great experience. From the booking to the deposit refund- all communication with the owners was efficient, prompt and caring. The property was extremely well-maintained- very clean- you would not know that it was a pet-friendly place. The manual about the house (operations etc) and activities was the most comprehensive that I have ever seen. The photos make the rooms look bigger than they actually are- but was not an issue. Loved that we got use of the preferred parking pass- we would come back from Sierra for lunch and then head back for the slopes! The use of the sleds was also generous for the incredibly convenient "sled park." $18 per car- so load up the kids- very good value! I actually booked this time based on reviews- and decided that it is the best way to get a good place. Thank you for a wonderful week- the weather even cooperated and we had plenty of new snow and sun!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

The Chalet was perfect for my family(4 adults, 2 toddlers). We had such a wonderful time sledding right on the property. Sierra was only a 5 minute drive away which was also a plus. We are looking fwd to our next stay! Thanks again!!Recommended for: Families with young children.

Our group consisted of children, teenagers, a dog and adults enjoying the house for 10 days. We've experienced no snow to lots of snow during our stay. On both occasions, we've always found ways to have fun inside and outside. Echo Lake is a must hike. I'll bet a summer stay would be awesome! Thank you for making your beautiful home available.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My extended family of 12 (9 adults and 3 babies) stayed at the Echo Summit Chalet during MLK Weekend. The pictures of the Chalet is absolutely accurate. The chalet has a lot of personality in its architecture and interior decoration. It was beautiful and clean when we arrived. There were more than just a few amenities. The boys enjoyed playing foosball. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the amenities needed to put together a quick meal. I highly recommend a stay here. It is well worth the 25 or 50 dollars you'd save renting some other generic, small, and dirty place.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time at the Echoo Summit Chalet. The lodging was great. Four adults, six kids and plenty of room. Beautiful cabin, fully equiped kitchen, looks even better then the pictures. Has everything that's needed for a perfect winter vacation. Located in a very nice clean and quite area. I would definitely recommend this cabin to all of my friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Twin Bridges:
We love this home because it's close to family friendly Sierra-at-Tahoe ski resort, Desolation Wilderness and Lovers Leap Climbing area. No need to fight traffic - you're 'home' in minutes! The home is away from the crowds of South Lake Tahoe, yet close enough to enjoy all the sights there too.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Great location for year-round activities. In addition to winter snow play, summer activities include hiking, boating, and rock climbing. Echo Lake is only about 1 mile past the home which gives access to many day hikes in Desolation Wilderness. It's a gorgeous hike around the lake; and you can take a boat ride back across the lake! South Lake Tahoe is also just over the hill.
Or just stay at the house to relax and enjoy the 1 1/2 acre area wooded area property. We enjoy sitting out on the covered deck overlooking the backyard and visiting after a fun day of activities.
