This is a house built in 1977. it is part of a 2 street development that includes Nueva Vista and Arroyo Vista Drives which is made up of approximately 45 homes. We bought it in 2005 to renovate and make our own - this taking nearly two years - just because we were slow :-) not necessarily because of the extent of work needed.
It has a full kitchen with new cabinets, appliances and granite counter tops. All the windows and interior doors are new as are all the bathroom fixtures.
We built next to the front entrance two small cactus gardens which brings a zen like quality to the entry hall along with two columns. The house feels much larger than it is and sleeps eight very comfortably. The AC system and hot water heater are both new.
The gas fireplace is done in glass tile and stainless steel with colored glass pieces serving as the hearth. Throughout, the house is decorated simply with contemporary furnishings and window treatments giving it a peaceful and comfortable quality that is casual and relaxing.

Well, when we saw this house we fell in love with it. Not because it was a perfect house rather it was a house with perfect potential. We have spent 2 years renovating and updating everything to our own style and taste and love spending our weekends here. Having recently bought a main house in LA, we rather share the place with others who want to find an affordable Palm Springs get-a-way than simply leave the place empty or sell it. It is a great place and very relaxing to be there...
Why the Owner Chose Other Palm Springs, South Properties
Palm Springs is awesome! It is close to LA but a world apart. Demuth Park, the area where our house is located, is a hidden gem in Palm Springs where you can find baseball and soccer fields along with tennis courts and a volleyball court. There is also a children's playground too and the YMCA is right there. From our home you can walk to the Water Park (Soak City) or to your choice of public or private golf courses. Of course our favorite thing to do is relax in our own inground salt water pool or use the salt water spa into the late hours of the night.
The Unique Benefits of this House
When we remodeled, we made the home an open concept living area with modernistic touches. It features a beautiful gas fireplace, an eat-atcounter, indoor and outdoor dining areas and lots of french doors that when opened, welcome warm summer breezes through the house. Each bedroom has personality and the master bedroom features a 2 person shower with a glass exterior wall and a private toilet closet. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and harwood floors. All the common areas feature travertine stone.
