Come and enjoy our peaceful desert retreat at Silver Sands Racquet Club in Palm Desert, California. Silver Sands is a wonderful gated community of friendly owners/guests with individual patio homes built in clusters around 15 swimming pools. You can join the other residents for weekly potlucks, golf outings and tennis or relax in your own private courtyard. All homes are Spanish style with courtyards and 2-car garages. There are gorgeous views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and Mt. San Jacinto throughout the neighborhood. The tennis complex has 8 lighted courts, a clubhouse and tennis pro on site from October through April. There is no cost to tenants to play tennis. Lessons are available for a fee.
We are located in the center of the Coachella Valley surrounded by world-class golf courses and next door to the JW Marriott Resort at Desert Springs. There is upscale shopping at the nearby El Paseo Shopping District, a variety of wonderful restaurants, and many other fun activities close by. Plus we are only minutes from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden (home of the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament held each year in March).
We call our home "Casa de la Paz" which means house of peace. You will experience an immediate sense of peace as you enter the courtyard with its Spanish fountain and unique Southwest landscaping. Enjoy fresh grapefruit every morning in season and fresh squeezed lemonade from the trees in your own courtyard. Our electric citrus juicer makes it easy and fun.
We recently hired an interior designer to completely furnish our new home. The interior has been repainted with warm earth tones. The furnishings and art work have a natural Southwest flavor. The vaulted ceiling and many windows make the main living area bright and airy, plus a gas fireplace provides warmth on cool evenings. Spanish-style floor tiles cover the main living area, bedrooms are carpeted and there are plantation shutters throughout.
The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, appliances, stemware and cookware along with a new electric range and microwave oven. Each master bedroom has a full connected bathroom, a California king-size bed and a sliding door that leads to the private courtyard. The refurbished bathroom sink areas are updated with travertine countertops, copper sinks and beautiful framed mirrors. Our home is also equipped with washer and dryer (in the garage), linens, towels, flat screen TV, DVD player and central air.
We love our desert retreat and hope you will come and experience this special place for yourself.
