When we first arrived at the location of VillaRosa - Arecibo, we were literally awe-struck by the unique, ever-changing, indescribable views of the ocean. The area is surrounded by huge rocks - at least 30 feet high - which create an amazing show as the waves crash into them and shoot high in the sky. These rock barriers are also the reason we have such a beautifully calm bay area, surrounded by a very private, sandy beach. And each day is different from the last, depending on the mood of the ocean.
VillaRosa - Arecibo is perfectly situated to sit back and watch Mother Nature; with its extra large wrap around terrace, complete with a hammock and lounge chairs, the porch is perfect for entertaining your friends or just lazing the days away, sipping a refreshing drink or enjoying some Puerto Rican "Comida Criolla", picked up from one of the kioscos on Hwy 681.
After you take a dip in the secluded beach cove, you can shower off the sand in one of our full outdoor bathrooms before heading inside, where there is 1 bedroom, 1 bath, a modern kitchen and a comfy living room, fully equipped with TV, DVD, home stereo with iPod dock. Our house sleeps 4 comfortably; with a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room.
But don’t let the size of the house stop you from planning your event here. It sits on over 3400 square meters (almost an acre), allowing you to host a variety of functions including: wedding receptions, barbecues, birthday bashes, reunions…the list is as long your imagination! The 2 full bathrooms outside are an extra amenity to allow for large parties. You can see photos of past events on our personal website, (address below). We also have experienced Puerto Rican event planners and caterers to help you plan your own special event, if you so choose.

Why the Owner Chose Arecibo
My travels to Puerto Rico began in 1998, with my then-11-year-old daughter. We toured the entire big island of Puerto Rico as well as the two smaller islands (Vieques and Culebra) by car and completely fell in love with the culture, the food and the beauty of "la isla del encanto". I had entertained the idea of purchasing a property at that point, but it wasn't until 2005, when chance brought me and my husband back to Puerto Rico, that I was finally able to fulfill my dream of having a beach house. In fact, I found my first dream property on the eastern side of the island, in a town called Luquillo, close to El Yunque and the port city of Fajardo. As I developed what would become VillaRosa – Luquillo (VRBO Listing #235755), I also began exploring Puerto Rico all over again. I remembered my visit with my daughter - that we had loved the areas near the Cordillera Central (the central mountain region) because it had seemed to us like a completely different world from the coastal cities of San Juan and Ponce. Things moved slower there, (except on the mountainous highways!), and the paths were less frequently traveled. But we were often rewarded by the majestic mountain forests, large tropical lakes and stunningly uncommon coastlines. So, I began looking on the northwest coast, and stumbled upon VillaRosa – Arecibo. I know that you will fall in love with this property (just like we did) and I also know that you will want to return again and again to “Make Our Home Yours”!

When you stay at VillaRosa - Arecibo, you feel as if you've escaped the touristy big cities, but you are actually less than 15 minutes away from one of biggest cities in Puerto Rico, with the standard conveniences of any Puerto Rican city. Furthermore, the magnificence of the rugged scenery is unlike anything we've seen in all of Puerto Rico - even our local friends and visitors say the same. As mentioned above, VillaRosa – Arecibo is in the northwestern part of “La Cordillera Central”, close to the famous El Toro Negro Rainforest, the Arecibo Observatory, some of the best surfing beaches in Puerto Rico and several underground caverns, including the Rio de Camuy Caves. VillaRosa – Arecibo has the potential to create any type of vacation you want: an adventure trip, a family trip, or a secluded getaway.
