Perfect White Christmas getaway.

First of all, the cabin's owner is great. He is reliable, considerate, honest, and flexible. I had no problems arranging accomodations with him even on short notice. The cabin itself is wonderful. 16 miles south of Flagstaff, it has the secluded appeal of a quiet neighborhood. It is located in a cul-de-sac, thus giving you even more privacy. The cabin is complete with every amenity you need. If you are a cable/sat TV fanatic though, the DirecTV leaves you wanting for more. The living room was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was top notch with all the cookware and dinnerware you will ever need. The backyard with a grill was great place to hang out. The 3 bedrooms were spacious with lots of cabinet space and most importantly, spotlessly clean. The beds were really comfortable. My family of 4 used the bunk beds and they were probably the most comfortable of all. Most importantly, the restrooms were better than those you find in many 5-star hotels. Our favorite area of the cabin was the very charming bay window bench. We would take turns sitting on it for a couple of hours basking in the light reading a book, web surfing, playing cards, or listening to music. We were lucky to have been able to spend our holidays in this wonderful place. The memories in it were priceless. So please consider this property when thinking of a relaxing, peaceful, and regenerative vacation.

A Week of Peace and Quiet

As hesitant as I am to positively review this because I'd hate to share my new favorite little secret, I owe it to do so! I rented a week at this location and it was essentially a perfect choice. The place is spacious, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped. I needed the time away to work on a dissertation and wanted piece and quiet, but with an internet connection for research! Luckily, I got both. If you know anything about Munds, you know it's close enough to Flagstaff to make a quick popover easy, but far enough out to feel as if you are truly away. Great location, great cabin. Some highlights: Good wi-fi, all the amenities you could want (unless you are a TV junky - minimal choices and small screens, but that isn't why you go up there, is it? Who cares! :), full kitchen and laundry facilities, a great jumping off point for Flag, Sedona, etc., and plenty of space. The most important part is that the owner is fantastic and takes personal care to be sure you are getting what you expected; he even called several times to inquire. The deposit was also promptly returned. So, I'd hate to create traffic for the next time I want to rent, but I can't recommend it enough...

An amazing getaway cabin

My wife and I, two kids, and two dogs saw that there was going to be a snowstorm coming to the high country over the weekend. I searched all over for a place to go and "bunker down" over the long President's Day weekend. I found this on VRBO late Friday morning, met Carey at his place of employment with cash and a signed application, loaded up the Suburban and we were on our way Friday evening. Carey had a printout with all pertinent information and even gave some tips on where to sledride and where to expect the Sheriff to eventually come along and kick us out. Sure enough.... They came along and said we had to go. I can't say enough about how absolutely incredible every aspect of this experience was. Even 2.5 months later as I write this. The cabin is completely furnished with everything you need. It is cozy and the fireplace was perfect. We brought food to cook through the weekend and we didn't miss a thing. They even had the salt and pepper shakers. And the refrigerator had a built in Ice Maker. I can't stress enough, that it has all of the comforts of home. We ended up getting 14 inches of snow, but there was a choice of 3 different shovels and a couple of brooms. I even shoveled out the grill to make burgers the one night! In short, the cabin was even better than described and the pictures don't really do it justice. Next time we go, we are going to get the neighbors and their kids to come along too. The master bedroom queen bed, 2 bunkbeds in one bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom will sleep up to 8. And that doesn't count the sleeper sofa in the living room. Needless to say, we have found our first choice for a place to go to get out of the Valley for either winter snow or to escape the summer heat.

Great family retreat. Nice home, clean, spacious, quiet. A great porch for enjoying the cool mountain weather. Owner was very prompt and responsive to questions and making arrangements. Be aware that Munds Park homes in general (not just this one) do not have much coverage for AT&T cell phones, but you can get service at the Pinewood clubhouse. Also home did not have ESPN, which was a bummer for my sports nuts on Sunday and Monday for football viewing. Other than that, home was great!!

Very nice mountain retreat

Very nice mountain retreat. The cabin was on a cul de sac away from the main traffic but easy to find. It was clean and comfortable and the surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions. The nearby golf course and hiking trails were a plus. Will definitely recommend this property to friends and plan on renting it again.

Owner response:We certainly do our best to always communicate with our customers, and make sure that we address any questions and issues promptly. It is important to us that our customers have a pleasant stay, in a relaxing and home-like environment.

Quiet Mountain hidaway

Guest: Arnie and Family (Plainfield, IL)

This was a great spot to camp out away from the heat of Arizona, and close to so much!! Quiet, comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. We took day trips to the Grand Canyon (about 2 hours away), Sedona (20 min away), Flagstaff (20 min away) and enjoyed our stay immensely! The mountain neighborhood that this property is located in is beautiful and friendly. And the stars!!! Every night we had a show that our Midwestern eyes had never seen.

Owner response:Thank you for the kind words. We agree that the cabin is in a perfect location for easy access to many northern Arizona attractions. And since there is no light pollution from any nearby city the night sky is definitely spectacular.

This was the perfect weekend get-away. We were able to escape the hectic pace and just relax all weekend in a safe and comfortable environment. Plenty of space and a very clean house. Communication was perfect with the owner. We plan to rent again, we did not want to leave.

This was a very nice, clean place with lots of room. It had great porches in the front and back and lots of living space inside. It was reasonably priced, and there was excellent communication with the owner. I would highly recommend this property.

This house was the perfect staging area for our extended weekend getaway to the Flaggstaff area. Slept all six of us comfortably and provided everything we needed for our stay. The Munds Park area is beautiful and is just a short drive from all of the local attractions.

Wonderful two-story home would accommodate up to six people comfortably. On quiet, cul-de-sac. Nicely furnished and maintained. A cool retreat to read, relax and walk.
