What an outstanding property to spend time at. If you pressed me to find something amiss I couldn't do it. Everything has been thought of when it came to a visitors needs. The kids used the bikes everyday to go to the beach, the movies and shopping. The location is convenient to everything. Being able to have everyone eat breakfast and lunch in saved 25% of the rental rate each day. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you Jill and Kelly.

Though the photos are accurate they do not do justice to the beauty and style of this home. We arrived with our adult children for a long weekend and each of us was impressed with how easily we slipped into life at West Beach. We walked, rode bikes, relaxed, and dined in style. This location is PERFECT and within walking distance of everything. The beds were comfy and the patio inviting. Though we ate out every evening the kitchen was amazingly well equipped. We will be back for another longer visit now that we know we have a home away from home waiting for us. One more note: we have rented VRBO homes all over the world and this one was one of the best. The owner has attended to every detail and the place is spotless and so tidy. It is nice to not have a bunch of "stuff" all over and crammed into closets, etc. This home is ready to be enjoyed!

We booked the house for a girls weekend in Santa Barbara. The house was exactly as described. It was in a great neighborhood, was extremely clean and well cared for, and had everything we needed. The house is walking distance to the water and to many stores and restaurants. The owner was very communicative and the process of renting the house was very easy. I would absolutely rent this property again.

With several friends visiting from the East Coast, we took a few days to explore Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez wine region. The highlight of our trip, however, was vacationing in this wonderful home by the ocean. We filled our time catching up on each other’s lives while cooking elaborate meals, walking and shopping our way around downtown Santa Barbara, and enjoying the Farmers’ Market. There much more to explore in the region so we’re sure to return and once again enjoy this relaxing home as our launching point!

We were so pleased with this awesome Santa Barbara property. It is absolutely beautiful and in such a wonderful West Beach location. Every detail has been taken into consideration with regards to the furnishings and all of the amenities that are offered in this Spanish style home. We were able to walk to several restaurants in the area; along with shopping on State Street (which we did alot of.) The property was spotless and included everything we needed. We rented the property over the Christmas and New Years holiday with our three adult children. The house offered privacy for all of us. We also enjoyed the beautiful kitchen and enjoyed many family dinners over the large dining table. The property owner and property manager were always available with any questions that we had and were so helpful. We will definitely be back to beautiful Santa Barbara and will rent this again. We have told many of our friends and family about it as well.

We loved the home and it proximity to all of Santa Barbara's activities, attractions and restaurants. The home was perfect for our family and everyone enjoyed the bikes and beach items. Our 22 month old granddaughter grabbed the pail and shovel and started digging in the sand as if she had done it always. Our children arranged for a private chef to come to the house to prepare a Thanksgiving feast and that is how we celebrated our 50th anniversary. It was perfect. Nothing is better than being with your family at such a special time and being in such a lovely home was extraordinary. We would most certainly recommend the home to anyone. By the way, the chef loved the kitchen!

The location is ideal. Near to the wharf/harbor/beach and State Street, but also peaceful and quiet. In the day we used the bikes to ride the cycle paths and in the evening we walked out to different restaurants (most of them recommended by Jill). The house itself is of the highest quality and very well maintained. The greeter Kelly (from next door) was also extremely helpful. We travelled to Santa Barbara from the UK and chose this property after considering dozens online and with no knowledge of the area. Luckily we made a very good choice and if we ever return to Santa Barbara we would definitely book with Jill again.

We stayed for the week surrounding our daughter's Santa Barbara wedding and this home was a magical beginning. It is beautifully decorated and the location is fantastic. The flow was perfect for the prewedding pictures and the Sunday brunch that we hosted after the wedding. Kelly the greeter was helpful and fun. It felt like having extended family next door! Thank you Jill and Paul for putting your home on VRBO. We hope to return!

My family and I have stayed at this lovely home twice. Both times were so comfortable and relaxing. The home is beautiful and has every comfort you can imagine. They even have fantastic beach cruisers for cruising the boardwalk! The location simply can't be beat; park your car and walk or bike everywhere! We enjoyed the wonderful outside patio all day long, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. We hope to make it an annual event to vacation here.

Three couples stayed comfortably in this delightful home in a remarkably quiet neighborhood. The house is well designed for entertaining; we hosted a party for 12 one evening. The covered veranda/patio off the dining room is particularly pleasant. Services are close by (three blocks to grocery and liquor stores on Montecito Street), and the owners go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, providing dining and local information. I grew up in Santa Barbara, and can assure you that the location cannot be beaten, and the home is guaranteed to meet your every expectation and then some. We will stay here again.

My husband and I just spent a few glorious days at this beautiful home. It is in the perfect location just around the corner from Stearn's Wharf. The first thing we did was jump on the bikes in the garage and rode all morning along the coast, having a blast. Then we walked down to State Street and found a great wine bistro. Everything is within walking or biking distance! The house itself is just what we wanted...charming, comfortable, (everthing is brand new) with the most beautiful tile you have ever seen. Every detail has been carefully chosen to create an authentic Santa Barbara-style home. The 2 stories provide lots of privacy: my husband could do his work on the computer downstairs while I watched a movie upstairs. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for the perfect place to explore SB.

Our stay in this lovely home in the West Beach area was just perfect! It is so near to the beach, harbor, wharf and State Street---we hardly needed to use the car. Our visitors, like us, oohed and ahhed over the house and the way it is decorated and designed, giving everyone a place for privacy and another for happy socializing. To walk into the showers is like being inside a jewel---the tile work and colors say 'Santa Barbara'; and we were all drawn to the spacious terrace---lots of happy hours out there. Thank you Jill and Paul, you were wonderful to work with and staying in your home was a dream come true.

I found the house (VRBO) for my wife and daughters to have a weekend together. The house and location are ideal for a Santa Barbara getaway. All six (mom and 5 daughters) were impressed with the house, (nearly new) and how comfortable it was. They had a great time along the beach and shopping on State street. Highly recommend this house and how well it is maintained. We would stay here again. Jill, the owner and Kelley are very pleasant and take good care of the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It is a beautifully designed home with really luxurious touches, superbly located in the heart of Santa Barbara. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to prepare Christmas dinner without incident. We have previously stayed at the Canary Hotel, which is also very nice, but this gave us much more room and was less expensive than two hotel rooms. We will definitely try to stay here again when we visit our son who is in school in Santa Barbara. We walked all over State Street, and it was really nice not to have to look for parking. It is also just a couple of minutes from the beach and there two cruiser bikes at the house for guests to use. I have always had good experiences with the VRBO system.

We arrived during an exceptionally rainy week, however your home warmly welcomed any family vacation. We enjoyed an ability to use the common areas for games, movies, dinners, cooking together without feeling like we were crowded. Our children are all adults so they appreciated bedrooms that were artful, comfortable and private. The home's environment is elegant and yet casual enough to relax. Between raindrops we did take in the mission, the architecture of the court house, a winery, a few shops and there are many excellent cafes and dining expereinces. It is a great location! We hope to sit on your beautiful porch and walk the beach another time... Thanks for the welcome basket too!

we really enjoyed our time in Santa Barbara. This house is beautifully maintained with a lot of love for detail. The friendly neighbor will greet you and tell you everything you need to know. The beach is a <5 minute walk away and in 10 minutes you are on state street for shopping or night life. We can definitely recommend this place as long as you are non smoker (which we fortunately were). The owner only rents to non smokers (and you actually have to sign that in advance).

Our extended family of seven just returned from a delightful long weekend in Santa Barbara. Being close to the water made desirable morning walks a daily occurrence. Even if you are not interested in sitting on the beach to sunbathe, the easy access to good coffee, restaurants, walking and biking paths, and of course people watching, makes the location of the house perfect. We were there with my in-laws and three children. Though we had two cars, it was great for us to simply walk out the door in different directions to pursue our own interests.

This property was just perfect. From the second we arrived Kelly greeted us and showed us around. The house is beautiful inside with every amenity you could ask for. The kitchen was well appointed ,if you chose to eat in and the balcony is perfect for late night drinks. The best thing about this property by far is the location, literally 20 yards down the road and you come to the beach, with the harbour and its beautiful restaurants to your right and the pier on your left. So idyllic, a perfect end to our trip, I would highly reccommend it to anyone.

The home is well equipped, clean and in a perfect location. We didn't really need a car as we could easily walk to the beach and downtown. There's an electric trolley that's runs up and down State St for a quarter. The home is comfortable and the mornings and evenings on the deck were delightful. The beds, electronics, and kitchen were all in excellent shape. We put the beach gear (towels, chairs, cooler, etc.) to good use. Great restaurants all over the place and our favorite beach was Butterfly Beach by the Biltmore Hotel, and don't miss the Farmer's market. We'd highly recommend this home!

We stayed here with our young kids and my parents in July, and everybody loved it! From the moment we drove up to the house, we felt like we were on vacation. The location is ideal (walking distance to the beach, wharf, wading pool, restaurants); the house is beautiful, comfortable, and extremely clean, and is furnished with nice linens and high-end kitchen equipment. The house has a great feel, and the owners have thought of everything their guests may need; for example, they have everything necessary for a day at the beach: cooler, plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, large towels, beach bags... The living room has a great couch and entertainment system stocked with many DVDs, and there are two portable cribs (Pack & Plays) for use, which came in very handy. The outdoor patio was a great place to enjoy the weather and a glass of wine in the evening. The owner is nice and responsive, and provides a great welcome basket to get you acquainted with the area (the postcards had even been pre-stamped). If you need anything while there, the greeter is very welcoming and accessible as well. We will definitely stay here again!

Our son got married last weekend in Santa Barbara. Since we don't live in the area, we were looking for a lovely home to be "Groomsville". We hit the jackpot with this vacation rental. The owner, Jill, and the greeter, Kelly, could not have been more helpful. The home was beautiful, clean, well maintained and every need was met. The home is in a lovely neighborhood, a short distance to the beach and the opportunity for lovely walks. Having this home for the weekend enhanced a wonderful wedding weekend for our family.

My group of girlfriends selected Santa Barbara as the destination for our annual girls' trip. This house was absolutely perfect. A wonderful kitchen and living area, a great upstairs deck, and comfortable and spacious bedrooms and baths. We wanted an alternative to a hotel where we could spend more time "hanging out," and this did the trick. Walking distance from the beach, from great restaurants and shopping, and most importantly the Santa Barbara urban wine trail! Highly recommended!

As a first time traveller to Santa Barbara, but not a first time user of vrbo, I had high expectations for the accomodation. And they were met. Everything about the house was exactly as depicted in the photos and the description - even better actually. The home comfortably accomodated 6 adults and a 2 yr old. The location is perfect - walking distance with a stroller to beaches and State Street coffee shops, galleries, restaurants, shopping, and literally out of the garage to the bike routes for our road riding adventures. Considering that we had 6 high end road bikes with us, having the double car garage for secure storage and tune ups was ideal. Couldn't imagine having to do that on the sidewalk or drag our bikes in an out of a house every evening. With 6 active adults, two full bathrooms were perfect - never a shortage of hot water or towels. The front loading laundry machines in the garage were a necessity with all of our sweaty bike clothes!. Kitchen/dining room - more than enough space for 3 or 4 people to be prepping meals. The beds were luxurious, linens and towels top notch (and those amenities do make a difference) so everyone was well-rested for the next days' epic ride(s). Jill's neighbor/greeter was available to welcome us and the combination of keys and garage door openers was just right for the amount of people who needed access to the home at various times during the day. Cannot say enough about how comfortable this home was - great furniture, nice shady patio off the dining room, and a welcome basket with treats and lots of local info was a nice touch too. It is clear that the owners paid attention to the details and ensured high quality in every detail - from dishes to dvds. Great choice.
