Bring your family and friends-there is plenty of room for everyone. Stay cool in the summer under our shaded porch and warm in the winter next to our warm and inviting fireplace. There is something to do for everyone.
If you're into fishing you have come to the right place. Mudhen is a spring-fed lake with plenty of fishing in a boat, or right off the dock. Also a "Hunter's paradise", we have mounts all over the cabin to enjoy and public hunting land nearby so you can have it all! If you like to snowmobile, this is the place, you can drive around the lake or head up North on the Gandy Dancer Trail.
Every weekend brings another surprise. You might see baby turtles running for the lake shortly after birth, frogs singing as they make their way through the stream or an eagle landing in the pine tree just outside of our window.
Each season has its own special touch. In spring everything comes alive and the smell of fresh pine is in the air. Summer brings nice hot days in the sun, fishing and boating or laying at the beach. Fall brings the beauty of the changing of the leaves and cool walks along the lake side road. Winter is all together another joy. You can go snowmobiling or cross country skiing all over the lake, then ride up to the yard to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.

Year Purchased: 2000
My husband Floyd and I grew up in the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota. We were both raised in the city but have always loved the country. In 1999, we went up to Siren, Wisconsin to visit some friends who have a cabin on Mudhen Lake. We spent the night there and fell in love with the location. While at the campfire of our friends, we were saying how much we loved it. Lucky for us their neighbor was at the campfire too and decided to sell. We began building in 2000 and have loved every minute.
Why the Owner Chose Siren
The location is great. Our cabin is on the East side of Mudhen Lake so we have the advantage of a beautiful sunset nearly every night. We are only 1 1/2 hours from the city so we are able to come up to stay a lot and the cabin is close enough to town for all of the necessities but far enough to enjoy the stars.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. We have a large camp fire right out front for gathering around to enjoy hot dogs or marshmallows. The front yard is large enough to play all types of family games. We have a beautiful great room filled with deer heads, bear and fish to enjoy and a warm gas fireplace to take off the chill and central air in the summer. We love to fish, chase frogs, take long walks, swim at the beach and relax on the front porch.
