Just a really, really, really enjoyable stay in a spectacular home that we quite literally lucked into. Lydia, the manager, sprang into action and saved our vacation with less than 72 hours notice. I honestly do not know how she could have been any nicer or sympathetic to our situation (we were 6 adults and 3 children). The house itself is enormous and absolutely beautiful. I'm a pretty big sportsfan, so I was more than pleasantly surprised by the very large flat screen and direct tv! I think there is 3 tvs in the home? All with direct tv? Awesome.. Kids were entertained at night... Lots of garage space and huge parking area as well The house has a PRIVATE path to the beach, which is roughly 150 yards away? With rain accumulation, the path is a little muddy, but our 5 year old was able to navigate around the mud puddles so I doubt very seriously that anyone would be troubled by that! I read a review on here that said beach access was 5 miles away? Not sure why someone would write that but either they meant to say 5 MINUTES or it was a joke... Even 5 minutes doesn't do it justice.. Overall, it was the undisputed highlight of our vacation staying at the Pacific Breeze, and we feel like we have a new vacation destination for years to come! If I could give a rating that exceeded 5 stars on this website, I would!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Very nice house BUT

I agree with the person that sent in the review in 2010. The house is very beautiful and the owners choose to stock it well. The cleaning lady Lida WILL charge you $20.00 extra, no matter how you leave the house. Apperently there was a dish left in the oven so we also were charge the $20.00 extra from the security dept. Also the bridge you see in the picture....does not go to this house...and there is a sign you cannot tresspass on eitherside.....you must drive 5 miles down the road to then turn around and drive back toward the house to access the beach (unless you run under the cloak of darkness on the trail you are not suppose to be on) not that we did this. Again....beautiful home but just know that you WILL be charged extra from the security dep that you are suppose to get back!! Garanteed!!

This was a fabulous beach house that my girl friends and I stayed at recently! It was right on the beach with picture perfect views throughout the house. We loved the big kitchen with corian counter tops and all the wonderful little things that were included. (Spices, coffee, tea, soy sauce, etc.) The home was spacious and afforded each of us girls our own room. (Six girls, six bedrooms, wahoo!) There are 3 bathrooms, so there was no problem finding one open either. The living room had a large vaulted ceiling that made the place seem so large. The windows to the ocean were large and afforded wonderful views. The beach is a short walk out over a winter pond. The beach is full of drift wood and beautiful rocks and is also wonderful for long walks. We would definitely recommend this house to families, girls parties, reunions, or anything where 6 bedrooms would be utilized. The staff was friendly and responsive and the place was cleaned beautifully!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I just wanted to follow up to let you know we received the security deposit check in the mail yesterday. That was certainly faster than we ever expected. Thank you. This was the first time my husband & I rented a vacation home for a family gathering and I can't say enough wonderful things about the house and the location. We even had amazing weather! Being able to walk to the beach was such a joy. Everyone, including our dog and 5 year old granddaughter had the time of their lives. There were other family members with us who have rented vacation homes for years in several different locations and even they were amazed not only by the condition of the house but by how well stocked the kitchen was! I wish I would have checked with you before I loaded two vehicles with things we didn't need to bring! It was lovely. Just lovely. I am so thankful that we found you and hope to return to the house again sometime soon. Please extend my warmest regards to everyone in your organization who made this memorable experience possible for our family. It was incredible

We had an amazing time. We rock climbed, saw baby seals. The baby seals were adorable. What do you see on the beach? My Dad and I played monopoly a lot. It was so fun, I won twice. Reese was the banker. We had so much fun in the beach. We had a fire and a fort. From Reese and Addison.

Despite the torrential rains, we had a wonderful time watching the storms roll in and the magnificent waves breaking on the rocks. There was enough dry spells to have fun at the beach. The house is beautiful and spacious. Our family really enjoyed ourselves! P.S. From Elena - Thank you for letting us stay in your hous it was nice.

Arrived yesterday with our family of 12. The house is gorgeous with plenty of room for everyone. The location calls for complete relaxation at every window! I could feel the stress drop off the minute I looked out. The ammenities are beyond adequate. The agency is very professional. Our family includes 4 young children. The easy beach access is walkable for all of them and the sand is perfect for hours of fun. I would definitely recommend it...but don't choose the week we will come back next year.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

While this gorgeous, spacious home has everything a renter would want as far as amenities and location go, the owners nickeled and dimed us. While this house easily sleeps 12, they charge for having more than 6 guests ( a total of $400 ) which we knew going in but after seeing the house and how it easily sleeps 12, seems like a rip off. THEN after being warned MANY times to clean the bbq, I spent over ONE HOUR scrubbing it and STILL got charged $20. More nickel and diming that just leaves a bad taste in our mouths.

From our Guest Book: We roasted marshmellows and hot dogs. We went on the beach. We played in the sand, in the water and our dog Celtic saw another dog and the owner came to us to get his dog. We drove my dads truck around the beach. My Dad and I climbed a rock and we didn't know it had seaweed on it, so, well I slid on the seaweed and fell on my bum and it was not a big rock. It hurt a little but I'm OK. We love it here and thank you for letting us stay.

We came to your home under difficult circumstances. Our mother died Dec. 28, 2009. She was a long time Gold Beach resident. Your home allowed us to grieve and celebrate together. Our entire family was able to stay here. Your home became our home and it was like "coming home". Thank you for the comfort and a beautiful place to share memories. We laughed and cried a lot. But in looking at the ocean view & experiencing the love of the Gold Beach community, we know why we loved it so. We feel priviledged to have grown up here. Again, thank you for your hospitality. It made a significant difference.

From our Guest Book: Thank you for a spectacular week in Gold Beach! We came to celebrate our daughter's 9 year birthday - it was full of family memories that we will cherish forever. The house is so very comfortable, felt like home! The beach was a lot of fun. We even drove up to the ranch for a lazy swing in the hamock at Corral Meadow Pond - peaceful! It was hard to leave, but we will be back!
