The oceanfront location is hard to beat...you are literally on the sand. The view arcs from the Palos Verdes Peninsula dramatically rising from the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island seeming to sit right offshore, all the way to Santa Monica Mountains and Malibu at the north end of Santa Monica Bay. Beach and non-beach oriented activities of all kinds are available within easy walking distance of the property including music, theater, restaurants, a comedy club, and, of course, shopping. Three piers and one harbor with moored sailboats and larger craft are easily accessible, none more than a 15-20 minute walk. There is plenty of nightlife, too, should you so choose. The neighborhood is "laid back", as one might expect at the beach, and the property is spacious and well-maintained. The accommodations are tastefully furnished, not at all like sterile hotel rooms, with all the high-end amenities commensurate with a rental of this nature, including a spectacular sound system, large flat screen TVs, a view deck, a jacuzzi, and unfettered access to a modern kitchen. The host is congenial and helpful while respecting your privacy- you could not ask for a better host. This is the ultimate California beach getaway home. Oh, did I mention the spectacular sunsets from the deck? I know I will be back.

Hermosa Beach Holiday

The location of this villa, beside the ocean yet only a short drive from downtown LA, is incredible. You can walk on the Strand, stroll on the beach or visit nearby boutiques, restaurants, and outdoor cafes - no need for a car. The house is large and luxurious with lots of comfortable places to sit and enjoy the ocean view. I loved sitting in the massage chair in the living room and watching the sun go down over the water. The upstairs guest suite was perfect for us - comfortable, quiet, and cozy. We spent most of our indoor time in the kitchen, the upstairs family room, and in the downstairs living room. The live-in owner knew the area well and was friendly and considerate - always respecting our privacy. We appreciated the beautiful surroundings and the peaceful, healthy environment. So many great memories from our week there!

Centrally located on famous Hermosa Strand,minutes from Pier and local quaint beach town shopping and restaurants,short hop to LAX, as well as quick access to main freeways leading to downtown,Santa Monica,and Malibu. You can walk the Strand anytime, sit on the expansive clean beach or watch the people go by right on the front deck. Clean,exceptionally comfortable sleeping accomodations and certainly convenient for casual beach get away or fun Los Angeles sightseeing.An audiophile music and video set up for music lovers and movie buffs.We have stayed many times and we have always received a very warm welcome,and will continue to stay whenever in LA.

Wow! These are my first words and impression of this home while I was staying there. The location is physically beautiful being on the Strand and the Pacific Ocean right outside the door. The numerable amenities offered was used and highly appreciated! The most memorable part of my stay was being inside such a comfortable and lovely home. I came from out of state to meet my relatives for a vacation in California. Having two adjoining bedrooms was perfect giving us company if needed yet enough privacy for those moments of quiet.The home was spacious,furnished lovely with warmth and good taste. The home inside and out was clean and well maintained. The owner of the home was extremely helpful in giving us information and recommendations for our vacation and anything he couldn't answer he referred us to another source. You could tell his love and pride in the home and wanting to share it with his rental guests.I would recommend this home to anyone who would like a vacation rental on a beach in sunny California and hope to return some day in the near future for an extended stay.

My husband and I recently stayed at this amazing, upscale beach house. It was the most enjoyable vacation, similar to being on a cruise but on land! The home is very cosy with all the comforts you need, and the host so helpful with out you loosing your privacy. The sunsets were gorgeous, and we were able to see some ocean kayakers along with some sea life! There were also 2 bicycles for us to use. There are options for privacy on the lower deck, or extremely entertaining viewing on the deck overlooking the ocean and the Strand. You are right on the beach. The house itself was very clean and beautifully decorated with colorful artwork and lovely tiled bathrooms. Also, important to us, the bed was comfortable! Two blocks away is Martha's, great restaurant for breakfast and lunch, The Bottle Inn for lunch and dinner, a Comedy Club, plus the Hermosa Beach Pier downtown area with shopping, bars, water sport rentals and more. The owner was very helpful with suggestions for other things to do and see, and we were extremely pleased with the whole experience. I would highly recommend this spot. The walk along the ocean provided us with close up views of fantastic luxury homes along the ocean front. A lovely setting and a great community to stay in.
