Built in 2002, located on the base of Mt. Princeton's 14000 foot peak. The property sits on 10 private acres centrally located in Colorado, 8 miles southwest of Buena Vista. This beautiful home offers 4400 square feet of spacious, contemporary Colorado Mountain style living. It is the ideal location to retreat to and build some wonderful memories. The home includes 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and will sleep up to 10 comfortably.
On the main floor the magnificent master suite includes a queen log bed, jacuzzi tub, walk in shower with jetted feature, and deck.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms. One bedroom offers a king log bed with private deck. Another room has a queen log bed and the kids room has bunk bed and full size bed.
Downstairs there is a bedroom with a king size log bed and full bathroom. Also downstairs there is the theater area with a 65 inch wide screen television, DVD/DVR, and VHS player. Thru the walkout basement, there is a huge concrete patio which offers a 500 gallon hot tub, to lay in and soak up the views.
The Kitchen/Dining includes a large dining area and a deck which offers a large Weber gas cook grill next to a massive log picnic table for outdoor dining. The open kitchen is fully equipped including cherry cabinets,granite countertops, stainless appliances and Viking stove/oven.
The Living Room area has comfortable sofa and chairs in front of the stone and tile gas-burning fireplace. Sit comfortably and enjoy the views Mount Princeton.
Wildlife viewing opportunities may include herds of Elk, Deer, and Antelope.

The home has views of the 14,000 foot Collegiate Peaks, the Buffalo Peaks, and the Arkansas River valley.
Mount Princeton Hot Springs offers soaking pools, restaurant, massage and other resort amenities, only 5 miles away.
Walking access to National Forest land, leading to the Colorado Trail, and almost unlimited hiking, biking, and climbing opportunities are minutes away. The Arkansas River, which offers world-class white water rafting/kayaking and fly fishing, makes its way through the valley about 8 miles from the house, with numerous outfitters and guides in the area.
The ghost town of St. Elmo is a short drive to the west, and is the starting point for several 4 WD, ATV, and snowmobiling trails. Mountain biking enthusiasts will find many trails available, including the well-known Monarch Crest trail near Salida.
Horseback riding stables are located about 6 miles from the house.
Salida and Buena Vista are becoming well known for their art galleries and art activities.
Two local airports , Harriet Alexander Field in Salida and Central Colorado Regional Airport, have private air service and bus service to Denver five days a week.
Salida Golf Club and Collegiate Peaks Golf Course in Buena Vista offer nine holes of relaxing mountain golf.
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing can be done right out the back door in the winter time. Monarch Ski Resort is about 45 minutes away to the south, with some of the best snow cat skiing in the state. Cooper Ski Resort is about 50 minutes to the north, also offering alpine and cross-country skiing.

Year Purchased: 2001
The family has lived in this beautiful valley since 1990. We have raised five wonderful children and find Buena Vista to be a great location for them to grow up, with a great school system.
Why the Owner Chose Buena Vista
This large house has been our home for 8 years, but now that the fate of business has caused us to move to another location, we decided to share our home and its picturesque views with yet unknown friends. Someday we plan to move back to this wonderful valley.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Starting with the morning sunrise, the views always look spectacular in any season. Very close access to several 14er trailheads for early morning hike start times, but also 5 miles from a relaxing soak in the Mt Princeton hot springs. Also minutes from some great white water kayaking on the Arkansas.
