Drive a half hour in the opposite direction to enjoy the quaint little towns of Empire and Frankfurt with their sweeping vistas of Lake Michigan along the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Shoreline.

Check out the hiking and biking trail maps in the cottage for a list of the many beautifully wooded trails in the area. If fishing is your pleasure, Green Lake is just one of the 50+ area lakes that boast some of Michigan's best boat or ice fishing and its right outside your door. Dream Catcher Cottage This is the One You've Been Looking for
5/5

Exactly As Advertised

It's always tricky to rent a vacation home based strictly on a description AND pictures that could have been taken whenever. But the Dream Catcher Cottage is exactly as described and exactly as pictured. For someone like me who likes to cook, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen was well stocked; the house even had a salad spinner! It was also really nice that the housekeeper lived across the street so that she was able to pop over when we needed more towels, and it was easy to hire her for mid-week cleaning. The house worked so well for us that it will be the first place we try to get during our Interlochen/Traverse City visits.

One last gaze over a tranquil lake. The memories of a week gone by. Surprise guests were we when meeting an oh so gratious Deb. The warmth of her house helped settle this "homeless" couple. Long strolls along the big lake's coast. A taste of wine then petting the sleeping bear. Star gazing at 3:30 am and sunrise chats. The company of grown children. All this and more filled our days with joy and wonderment. We thank Jehovah for leading us here and creating a backdrop that helped bring peace of mind. Until next time - Michael, Jeannette, Dawn, Jason and Jeremy

Purpose of the trip was a 5 year class reunion. We had an amazing time with old friends and the weather was gorgeous - cusp of fall.

Two days of typical fall weather - beautiful sunny day - enjoyed the sunrise at 7:00 am cup of coffee and soft music. We visited Interlochen Music campus and spent Saturday stopping at little shops along the Bay starting in Traverse City traveling all the way up to Leland. We recommend the Lavender Shop, the little shops in Leland and the beaches along M-22 on the bay. Take a basket lunch and a good bottle of wine. Favorite Moments: Morning sun rise, sitting on the porch watching boats and fishermen, cozy chair at the fireside and stuffing our faces on Saturday at the local Sam's Club. "The path to a good friends house is never too long or rocky. The ttripp and the stopover are always worth the effort. No matter how much time passes, the road is always clear and open - no obstacles from there to here." Thank you for a good trip and cozy house :)
