We stayed at this house in mid-October--my husband and our two boys (ages 4 years and 6 months), my mother, my sister and her husband and almost-two-year-old, and my other sister. This house was not only immaculate and well appointed; it was perfect for all of us to have privacy and space for a restful vacation. Our kids were a little on the small side for the sleeping loft, but if they were a bit older, they would have loved climbing the spiral staircase up to their own private lair. Since they're tiny, my husband and I easily fit the little one in a pack and play and the older one on a mattress in the huge master bedroom with us. The map of Watercolor had me a little concerned that we'd be too far away from the action. While this house is set pretty far back from the beach, convenient bike paths and walking trails cut through the development, making this house closer to the Watercolor beach and to Seaside than it appears on the map. The "frog pool" and Camp Watercolor are both very close, for any non-beach swimming. Publix is super close as well. We took advantage of the pools, the biking, and of course, the beach! One issue I did have was the construction next door. The work began promptly at 7:30 each morning--not a major problem for us, as our kids have us up before that anyway, but if I had been coming to relax and sleep, I would have been sorely disappointed. We would absolutely considering renting this exact house again. Thanks for a great stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
