The apartment met every expectation and was the perfect place to stay while we visited our son and daughter-in-law in Nice. We traveled with our daughter, son-in-law and two small granddaughters. Jayne was professional and prompt in answering our questions and providing information in advance of our visit. The apartment was nicely equipped for adults, as well as young children. We ate our breakfasts at the apartment and enjoyed family time over leisurely evening meals in the dining room. What a relaxing way to end the day after our adventures in Nice and into Italy! We were very happy with the apartment's closeness to cafes, the beach and city transportation. Jayne, thank you for all of your help and attention to every detail. We made some wonderful memories while in Nice.

A Gorgeous Apartment in Nice

I was fortunate enough to be able to stay in this stunning apartment with my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter in February. I have personally used VRBO a number of times but I can honestly say that this was my best experience yet. The apartment is on the third floor of a lovely old building. It has a quaint, old elevator that will take you to the apartment or you can use the stairs. The building is clean and very safe as it locks from the street. The apartment itself is lovely. The colors are pale shades of yellows and greens and the furnishings are comfortable yet very attractive. The apartment is outfitted with top of the line appliances and it even has a combination washer/dryer. The dishes, silverware, glassware, and cooking utensils were more than adequate to prepare and serve some great breakfasts and evening meals. The bathrooms, along with the rest of the apartment, are beautifully renovated. We used the heat while we were there as Nice was having some cooler temperatures and we were warm and cozy for our entire stay. The location of this apartment can't be beat. We were an easy walk to many attractions and also an easy walk to catch a bus in any direction. Nice has the best public transportation system I have seen in years and we were able to take several trips (to include to Monaco) for 1 euro each way -- no need to have a car! The shopping around the apartment was great and we enjoyed fresh bread and pastries daily. Our only regret was that we did not have more time to enjoy this beautiful town, its surroundings, and the wonderful apartment. We felt like we were home each evening when we returned. We hope to return for a longer stay next time. Thank you Jane -- you're the best!

This Apartment Is Amazing

Where do I start? Jayne's place is fantastic. Location-wise, the apartment is one block off the Promenade, directly behind the Negresco, and a 10-minute stroll to pedestrian zone. Within a few blocks, you will find at least two grocery stores, a bakery/pastry shop, a cheese chop, a butcher, a chocolate shop, and a covered farmer's market. A bus stop for busses going west (including towards the airport) is within a few minutes. The bus station for busses going east (including Monaco, Eze Village, Cap Ferat St. Jean, etc.) is a comfortable 15 minute walk. I know the train station is also close by. The apartment is also a real gem. My first impression was of the vaulted ceilings and expansiveness of the place. The master suite is gigantic and the family/dining area is truly of "home away from home" proportions. The kitchen has everything you need and the appliances all appeared brand new. Jayne has done a commendable job at stocking the place with everything the average traveler needs. The bedrooms, beds, linens, and pillows were great --- we slept like babies the whole time. The surrounding area speaks for itself with the mountains literally spilling into the Med. We appreciated the noticeable Italian influence, while still being able to indulge in the best of the French experience. We met some very nice people as well and noticed English seemed to be spoken with a little more frequency than other places we've been in France. The public transport system is ridiculously cheap (1 Euro...seriously?) and efficient, which is a good thing because the prices can be a little steep in areas. We didn't have a car and didn't need one. In the end, you will not be disappointed with the total experience. Jayne made our stay far and away the best I have ever experienced with VRBO. Jayne is such a nice, caring, understanding person as well. I will never forget how well she treated us --- she set us up for a wonderful vacation.

Great flat, great location

I choose this flat because for its high marks and glowing reviews. The comments you see repeatedly are all true: the unit is both larger and more attractive than it appears in pictures, the location is amazing, and Jayne is fabulous. You are within seconds of the promenade, minutes of the old city and Castle hill, and a quick bus or cab to the museums. Really had a wonderful experience in Nice and the flat was an excellent place to call home for a few days. I intend to stay again, the next time I visit the fascinating and beautiful city of Nice!

Great Property

Our family (2 adults and 2 boys ages 9/11) stayed at this apartment for 4 days in August and it was a very enjoyable stay. The apartment is far more spacious than the pictures make it look like and quite charming. It is on the second floor but there is a 3 person (very small) elevator for those who don't want to take the stairs or are disabled. The location is very good (one block off the main road/beach) made a bit nicer with the smallish walk out balcony. It was fully stocked including beach towels, boogy boards, mask/snorkels, pail/shovel, board games/cards, multiple english TV channels and an air conditioner for each bedroom and the main sitting area. We were also warmly welcomed by Jayne who was very accomodating and informative. Lots of restaurants nearby plus easy access to the bus stop for the airport and travel to Cannes, Antibes and St Paul du Vance. No parking - that would be very hard as it's very difficult to find a spot on the street. We would highly recommend this property. One tip, we arrived around midnight and opted for a taxi instead of working out the bus and it cost us 45 euro for the 10 minute ride. Going back, the bus was very easy and cost 4 euro per person although it takes a bit longer if you are travelling out of terminal 1 as it goes to terminal 2 first and takes a bit of time to get on it's way again after picking everyone up etc. Allow 1/2 hour travel time.

This apartment was even nicer than the photos suggested! There were 5 of us staying here (4 adults and one 3 year old) and we had lots of great space to enjoy. Jayne met us at the apartment when we arrived and provided us with a great orientation to it, and to Nice in general. She had also accommodated the fact that were travelling with 3 year old and provided amenities that were very suitable. Jayne was easy and wonderful to deal with throughout the rental process and was a fabulous resource when we arrived! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment as you won't be disappointed. You are literally a block from the Promenade des Anglais and the water, and are very close to little markets and shopping for all essentials. Two restaurants I would highly recommend: Koudou (more fish and seafood) and Barracuda (Italian) Both have great service and wonderful food. Both within walking distance. My family and I look forward to returning here!

Very Large, beautiful apartment in great location

Our family of five recently stayed in this beautiful apartment just a block from the sea. Groceries, restaurants, and shopping are all within a block. We were able to walk the 10 minute walk from the train station without a problem. It was very clean, with a completely modern kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. In all of the VRBO rental we have visited, this is one of the best. All towels and beach accessories were even provided. Jayne was very helpful and she gave us some great information on where to visit in the area. Highly recommended.

Perfect in every way

My family and I (there are 5 of us) stayed in Jayne's apartment for 4 nights and I would have to say it is by far the most beautiful, spacious and homely apartment we have stayed in yet. The pictures dont do this apartment justice. It is much larger than you think. Jayne has made this apartment like a home away from home, truly. She is absolutely wonderful, helpful, accommodating and a true pleasure to deal with. We were met at the apartment by Jayne and her sister (wonderful lady) and they explained how everything works which was great. There is a folder which Jayne put toghether which we called the Nice bible it has all the information you could need. The beds were extremely comfortable the loung/dining room was so spacious and comfy we could all sit down and watch a DVD. This apartment is just behind the Hotel Negresco which is a must to see and we had dinner in the carousel restaurant (what an experience). You are so close to everything here but it is also very quiet and peaceful at night ( which after a full day out is fantastic). Thank you so much Jayne and when we return to Nice you will be the first place we will be back to.

Four of us just spent a great three days in this beautiful apartment located right behind the famous Negresco Hotel, one block off the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. Jayne was extremely gracious and helpful during our stay. The layout of the apartment is great for 4 people. The long hallway divides the living and dining area (very big) from the bedrooms. The master bedroom/en suite bathroom is very big. Lots of character. The local neighborhood has food markets and great shopping close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks to Jayne for our stay in her lovely, light and airy apartment in September, 2009. Great location, just a block to the Promenade, with nearby bakery, grocery, and chocolate shop. Easy walk to Old Town, train and bus stations with connections to Eze, Monaco, Cannes and Antibes. We highly recommend this apartment.
