Playing golf is a pleasure at the Lake Placid Club because the mountain views are outstanding. In the winter the golf course is transformed into a groomed X-country ski center.
You can ski right over there on the Jack Rabbit trail which is right outside the back door. Tennis courts and the beach at crystal clear Mirror Lake are only a block away. Have a refreshing swim, or rent a kayak or paddle boat.
In the winter, Mirror Lake turns into a winter playland. There is ice skating, ice hockey, and X-country skiing right on Mirror Lake. You'll see dog sleds, too. Try the toboggan run, it's thrilling. The mountain views from Mirror Lake are breathtaking.
Take a walk downtown and dine at one of the many fine restaurants. Enjoy a movie at the cinema downtown. If it rains, you can go bowling, visit the indoor arcade, or go shopping. Shopping in Lake Placid is fabulous. Wherever you are in Lake Placid, scenic views are all around you.
Come back to Morningside 21 and relax after a day of skiing or shopping. Soak in the jacuzzi tub and when you're done, retire to the living room where you can sink into the leather recliner and enjoy the fire burning in the stone fireplace. Or watch the big screen TV. Or read the newspaper and listen to music.
