Take a 10 min drive to the walled 6 km city of Lucca where you can explore "99 churches", Lucca was founded by the Etruscans and became a Roman colony in 180 BC. The rectangular grid of its historical center preserves the Roman street plan, and the Piazza San Michele occupies the site of the ancient forum. Traces of the amphitheatre can still be seen in the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. Charming cobblestone streets, exquisite restaurants and friendly people.
Take a 45 min drive to Florence or a 20 min drive to Pisa. A new experience a different world art and history abound then come home to your sanctuary. Only a 15 min drive are beautiful white sandy beaches of Viareggio, Massa and Forte dei Marmi. Take a romantic stroll, socialize with the locals or laze in the sun and cool off in the blue green Mediterranean waters.

I have lived 1/4 of my life in Lucca, Tuscany, also called Ponte a Moriano (located 10 km from Lucca). My parents moved to Vancouver, Canada and as we grew up we were fortunate enough to experience our summers in Tuscany. I would like to share that Tuscan experience with you. Show you the wonderful food, smells, beauty and culture in this tranquil and soulful part of the world. I have two properties enabling you to touch your soul and will cater to most anyone's needs. If you wish I will personally arrange a guided tour visiting unique sites unknown to many tourists. Perhaps a drink of wine in a piazza, a meal at a fabulous restaurant showcasing the tastes of the region, or a tour of a medieval castle. If the warm beaches of Tuscany or shopping is more to your liking, I can also arrange a tour or leave directions to your new favorite hot spot, all from a Tuscan native.
